  • Thumbs up if you still use Traditional Lightbulbs!!

  • Bull s@#$t

  • contribute to the future of our planet, it is very important the future of the planet is in our hands.

  • we are all under a process of changing. the time cost of these process will depends on the fight between greenpeace and her anti-force, at last we will achieve a new balance.

  • Greenpeace = ecoterrorists. The great global warming hoax would have all of humanity living in mud huts and pooping in holes in the ground. Green zealots are the enemies of civilization.

  • I think you need to d more research before saying this. (mud huts and holes in the ground) But if they were mud huts, would it not be possible if these mud huts were more luxurious than modern homes? Say the creative architects and such could redefine mud huts and holes in the ground?

  • So-called man-made 'climate change' is a myth.

It's just another cash-cow for the government to milk (in the form of carbon taxes and all that bollocks).

These tree-hugging pricks aren't going to stop me using coal, oil, etc. whenever and where ever I want.

  • Kaziman having a brain is a myth too.

Use all you can, while you can.

Shit in your own cage and wear the consequences, brother.

  • maybe we should dump our electronic waste in your back yard like the US and Europe do with West Africa.

    big uneducated moron!!!

you rather be right than survive.

    try eating your paper money.

  • heres something to think about. unless you live in a mud hut somewhere in the jungle and you grow your own food and use YOUR OWN fecal matter to fertilize those crops, and you use ABSOLUTELY NO electricity to power your home, and you walk everywhere, your a goddamned hipocrite if you call yourself an enviromentalist

  • You fucking bastard, go and eat your shit.

  • haha that was awsome. although there are some hardcore people out there that do that.

  • Heard of solar panels?

  • Hale Greenpeace! gotta love em i m the only person in my town that picks up garbage around the neighborhood i am so proud to be that indivisual

  • next step is to be the person who inspires a second person to help. I find that the tricky part.

  • Don't use Fluorescent or Incandescent bulbs find a supplier fo LED bulb which turn on faster, use less electric and are completely recyclable. I will begin my transition over the next year and by next year i will only have LED's and they will last virtually forever. Florescent bulbs were the worst idea ever i am glad the change to them was cancelled think ppl before pushing an idea that could be worse than what we do today.

  • SALUTE!

  • Homeless man makes lamp that makes itz own power, great for third world countries, power outages, children gifts, mothers day

  • ok, so i agree that solar energy is not a bad idea. but the new light bulbs contain mercury so when we dispose of them, it will leach into our water system and cause HUGE issues. also, our country is going through a slight depression, ppl are losing jobs,a nd we want to shut down coal plants? wont that cause an increase in unemplyment? im sorry, but the earth goes through changes! we are NOT God, He has a plan, let it unfold NATURALLY

  • oh leave the god bull crap for yourself and go turn off your lights.

  • So you are saying using traditional light bulbs is part of the BIG PLAN? What is this plan? Explain it to me? Believe me, we are the only ones looking after the store! We need to take care of this planet. Its all we have and we are wrecking it with coal, nuclear power and oil.

  • God let us live on this planet. We should not be plunderers of the Earth. We should take domain over it, a.k.a. take care of it. You don't trash a garden, or place to live, that your Father gave you.

  • u r right about the 'new' lightbulbs containing mercury...so that's not the answer either

and solar panels...could/would be a good idea if made safely, not currently how they are manufactured (with bi-products that are deadly)

the bi-product is the extremely toxic silicon tetrachloride (a corrosive and toxic waste product of polysilicon manufacturing)

where its been dumped...nothing will grow.

(google toxic solar panels) i agree with MissTorrance:

    turn off the lights :)

  • I want watch this video in Spanish

  • Would you help me with a voice over?

  • ps While you are concentrating this co2 stuff, clear-felling continues unabated.

  • I think Susan said nasty bulbs burn 14% of the worlds electricity.

And electricity generation is WHAT % of human co2 emissions? So by switching to CFLs we could save 80% of 14% of X% co2 emissions. If you really think that'll save the planet, LET'S DO IT!

  • you are right susan has nasty bulbs she could do with a new set..

  • "Solar pwoerwould power Portual for a week"

Well, except at night when it's, like, dark.

  • John Key. A country's shame.

  • What's the deal with this? Are they talking about those dangerous mercury filled spirally bulbs? Stop climate change or adapt to it? Yes, solar energy is free energy but I say put your energy into stopping consumerism, pollution, exploitation. If climate change is caused by us then it will be fixed but for all we know it may be part of the natural cycle.

  • Oh Johnkey Donkey! Why did you do that??

  • Time is running out.

Greenpeace activists still consume tons of beef and ram.

Livestock industry is the biggest cause of global warming.

But Greenpeace do nothing about livestock industry, which is the major driver of global warming.

In order to raise money, Greenpeace protests against green protein source, such as Whale meat, and advocating livestock industry.

    Money is everything for Greenpeace.

  • Well, just coming from a weekend-meeting of Greenpeace volunteers. The most people working for the organisation spend a lot of time and also money for working for the preservation of the planet - our habitat. So please, stop telling lies and face the facts: Greenpeace addresses issues such as growing meat consumption. Nevertheless: the main reason for climate change is the use of fossil fuels and the inefficient production and consumption of energy...

  • you obviously haven't done your homework.

Greenpeace NZ's whole climate campaign this year is based on the dairy industry.

    death to fonterra

  • Livestock indutry is No.1 cause of global warming as United Nation FAO says. Whale meat is green protein source and Greenpeace is against it. That is why Greenpeace is labeled as Environmental Terrorist. Greenpeace activists consume tons of Beef, Ram and Chicken everyday and sadly they all look so fat. To raise more money, they oppose whaling. Greenpeace doesn't care about environment, but money.

  • Many whale species are in big danger of extiction that is why we oppose the slaughtering of these mammals and by the way whale meat is rather toxic (heavy metals), I wouldn't recommend you to eat it, if you do so. We have a lot of good-looking and sportive activists, many of them vegetarians or vegans.. It's fun to be commited to work for the preservation of our habitat and the interests of future generations (e.g. our children and grandchildren). we have only one earth and extinction is forever

  • i agree with u!

  • Comment removed

  • I'm a member and I'm a vegeterian. I know many other members that are meat and non-meat eaters.

Even though i chose not to eat meet i understand that some do. I don't think we could persuade everyone to become vegeterian. Though it is very possible to reduce the amount of methane live-stock produce by small changes in their feed - for example.

  • I agree. I don't think eating meat is the problem. I think WHERE AND HOW OUR MEAT COMES TO OUR PLATES is the problem. Infact, NOT JUST THE MEAT BUT EVERYTHING ELSE. We really can make a difference. Especially with things such as youtube. We can spread the word globally and commercially. Let's make it happen!

  • Fuck that PM

  • I wouldn't say the entire Greenpeace only cares about money bro.... Perhaps the people on top with fat wallets, but not the people helping in so many places around the world for literally nothing. The buisness "Greenpeace" is as fucked up as walmart... but I'm a vegetarian and support greenpeace so don't generalize everyone :)

  • Shame on John Key!

    >-(

  • I've heard that something is not right with florescent bulbs which contain mercury. Solar and wind power a-okay of course! When incandescent bulbs go, what replaces them?

Mercury within florescent bulbs is a neurotoxin.

  • Excellent video!!

We need more of these dramatic videos to drive the point home! We're juggling with our children's futures! Enough with the madness!

We NEEd that energy revolution NOW not in 20 years' time!

If you can possibly afford a 'renewable' energy array for your home, NOW is the time to get it!

Even a solar water heater will make a HUGE difference... if just 'lightbulbs' can make a big difference... just imagine what a solar water heater on every roof would do!!

  • WHY did new zeland halt the law thingy?

  • politicians bowing to pressure & jumping on the dangers of 'mercury' bandwaggon to 'justify' their U turn!

The 'dangers' from all the CO2 pumped into the atmosphere FAR outweigh any dangers from mercury.. besides the problems with murcury are simply a 'design' problem... ALL goods could be engineered to LAST much longer & really SHOULD be, because often it takes almost as much energy to MAKE something, as that thing will USE in its entire life.. so making things LAST would help LOADS & be safer!

  • Because we went from a left-wing government who were leading the world on climate change policy to a right-wing government who want to debate whether climate change is actually caused by humans. Pretty much sucks. Obama actually helped the right-wingers get in too - all his "change" campaigning didn't help the previous government get back in. The new government are also talking about creating law that abuses human rights. Who would've known? Clearly not the NZ public.

  • "leading the world on climate change policy "

shame it wasn't "action" though, eh?

  • why did they removed this video?... and uploaded again

    utube failing?

altho it said that it was removed by the "user"

  • If you watch from 0:32, then you can see why the video was removed and uploaded again - the new Prime Minister of New Zealand has, unfortunately, reversed that country's climate change policies.
