  • I still have this album and still love it!!!

  • I just hate the comparison of Donny to Justin Bieber .....there is just no comparison......Donny has genuine talent and Justin is just a kid star that will be gone quick

  • Love Merrill's scream at the end.

  • Que de nostalgie. Découvert pour la France par Line Renaud. Ce groupe de frères sont formidable!!!! .

  • I've been Merrillized Lyn. I absolutely love Merrills voice and he is such a sexy man! Merrill has only gotten better with age!

  • I was at this concert! I was 7 years old and my mom dressed me in all purple (for Donny) but favorite was and still is Merrill!

  • they never did this in any of their TV shows........

  • wish they were still touring

  • finally a song they arent dancing weird

  • Arrghh. And I couldn't convince my sister to see them at the Wisconsin State Fair--she wouldn't go.

  • Géniale cette musique ! Toute ma jeunesse !!!! Quels souvenirs !!!

  • That sounds Dubbed

  • easy money.

  • They had tremendous energy as witnessed by this great live performance, unlike a lot of groups nowadays that just stand still when they perform. As a beginning guitar player, I'm just amazed how they can move around like that while still hitting their notes. It's hard enough for me when the guitar is still.

  • lmao!! This performance completley ridiculous, but Im crazy for their voices!!!

  • I was crazy about Donny Osmond when i was in the juth.

when i was young ,he was my biggest idol those days,No i,m almost as crazy for Alejandro Fuentes Voice, and Music.

And i,m not young anymore hehe.

Do you know hwo i talking about. He sing Hallelujah, with Kurt Nilsen (Worldidol )Espen Lind ,Askil HOlm. sheck them out on my channel.

BUT, I,will never forget The Osmonds, Spesually the youngest qutie :D

  • I'm sure this was one of my first concerts! Went to the Ohio State Fair every year for a long time to see the Osmonds!!! Great parents I had....they not only took me to Ohio to see them (and Wheeling, WV...although that was much closer for me), they took me to Utah to the Osmond studio!

  • Didn't know Elvis had so many children

  • This was my first concert ever....Oh how I loved these guys!!! My bestfriend and I attend this concert in 1972 and this coming Saturday Oct 23 we have front row seats long with VIP passes to see the Osmonds again in Bryant Ind.

  • @Atschuor1 aren't they in Las Vegas on Saturday 23/10 cause that's were I'll be front row tickets to see them. Am flying in Australia especially.

  • @Atschuor1 i was there to

  • i forgot that they played their own instruments live.

  • Who is the drummer in this song ???

  • @TheRetroDude1 that's Jay.

  • @TheRetroDude1 JAY OSMOND!

  • that is allan. merrill was the best singer. i was 10 years old and madly in love with donnie osmond. sweet.

  • Wow you guys still make me crazy in a good way. Merrill your voice is one of a kind!

  • Looks like Elvis lost some outfits?

  • @tacotedjr1 LMAO

  • I had this tune on a 45 when I was a kid, I put it in a drawer the wrong way and cracked it :( I didn't think this one would be here, thanx for the upload!!

  • then the shower is running with nobody in there, well i'll be a son of a gun

  • At 1:38 they start doing the Charleston!

  • Faaaaaaan-tastic!

  • Donny was cute in this vidio, but dang Marrel was so darn hot mmmm.

  • wow merrils such a good mover...

  • @pattyken1 I could watch merrill dance all day

  • can i get some double cheese with this vid?

  • Alexi- from what I see, there are 2 guitarists not 2 bassists, and even if there were, if the Allmans can have 2 drummers the Osmonds can have 2 bassists.

  • fantastic!

  • sound strange to say but at the age of 49 Im just realizing how good the osmonds were......Ive always liked their music, but never knew they were so talented,I dont know why I never realized???

Ive just spent the whole weekend watching them...crazy lol

and Lynje7 I think Ive been merrillized......hes the most talented of the group

  • wow merrills dance moves....

  • When I was younger I dont think I ever looked at their hinneys. But now all I can say is HOLY SMOKE!!! Those suits are really nice!!!

  • OMG that s%@ messed up my sexuality in tha 70's

  • The Osmond had a full band behind them. While the Brothers played instruments, they did not play them all the way through their concerts. They needed musicians behind them

  • I just noticed many musicians way in the background. What's up? Who's actually playing the instruments?

  • The Osmonds played those are just additional ones,

  • @Monkey45008 It seems that, capable or not, the Osmonds did not really play the instruments they carried onstage. Their moves with the guitars do not always match the songs. And, actually, you see Merrill Osmond and the bassist playing at the same time. Is there any need of TWO bassists in a song?

  • Love their Elvis jumpsuits...

  • My mom took my cousin to this show. I was only 7, so she wouldn't take me. I cried and cried.

  • This video is a pretty good example of how hot Big Al was back in the day

  • oh yeah!! he still is though!

  • Sorry, I accidentally hit "thumbs down" sure meant it "thumbs up". Big Al is definitely hot hot hot!!

  • peer pressure(severe),and the fact that when you are 6-7 years old, anything girls like has to be dumb(well?) kept me

from being a major league fan back in

    the day. Glad that's over.

    Merrill Osmond RULES ! ! !

  • the one with the smile in the beginning u asked about is Alan

  • I was there.....great memories!

  • Which Osmond is that at the very very beginning, with the gorgeous smile?

anyhow, such a fun video, I think I was in junior high at the time and this song really takes me back.

  • That's Alan at the beginning and yes his smile is really gorgeous.

  • Thanks! Looks like they put on a great show for that audience, they are really singing and dancing their little hearts out....

  • they are amazing so much talent

  • great live footage

  • vote for Donny on Dancing With The Stars

  • Those crazy Mormons could really get down.

  • JokerneckQ

    Some

    Times

    Joking

    ......

    Sometimes

    We'll!!!!!!

  • thank-ya osmonds, thank-ya-very-much.

  • love how they all dressed like elvis

  • i live in Ohio!

  • awesome bloody good music and fantasic looking men

  • The Osmonds really were the hardest working men in show business. The energy throughout all of their performances is phoenominal. I love the interaction between Merrill and Donny.

  • I wonder were they got these Elvis Jump Suits

  • they had the same designer as Elvis, so the suits were similar. they were also friends of Elvis so he approved the look.

  • Great video:) I five starred it and am your lifetime friend and subsciber.

    be happy NOW

  • Go Merrill Go - move those hips!!

  • I have always loved this song. Thanks for sharing this video! 37 years later it's just a cool as it was back then.

  • Is this Stone Temple Pilots? hahahah

  • Why You!!!!

    you forget "the"

  • Oh I'm getting nostalgic! Thannks for letting me see them!

//hjejjan in the north of Sweden

  • After all these many, many years... I still love those jumpsuits, love the dancing, love the singing, love the Osmonds. My heart is 10 years old again!

  • The Osmonds met Elvis and he told them they should dress flashy and recommended his beloved jumpsuits.

  • The Osmonds signature song, IMO. Like Rock and Roll All Night is to KISS.

  • Great song! Great guys!

  • FANTASTIC song - FANTASTIC Guys....

    xx

  • Man this still rocks!!

    Great!

  • Wow!!! that end note that Merrill holds 2.23 ...... tingles down the spine or what!!!!

  • Wow is right! You got it! The girls may have been rightfully screaming for Donny, yet Merrill deserves credit as the rockin' lead. if you get the chance, you can hear the entire ending on their second live 2 LP set "Around the World." Nothing but awesome!

  • Ahhhh I know that double LP well my friend, in fact i still have it from all those years ago.

  • LOVE that LP - go to my posting of Love Me For A Reason '75 from that LP..........Merrill lets rip over the instrumental........just fantastic.!!

  • "Gotta get out of the city".... they must mean Salt Lake City.

  • Provo, actually. Just fyi. Its about 60 miles from SLC. They would go up to their ranch near Ogden where there really is a 'Lazy River."

  • Five Elvis on the stage?

  • totally love it.....great song and great memories....thank you......

  • I never appreciated the Osmonds till lately. They were good werent they.

  • Thats putting it mildly ! hee hee

Personally I always thought they were AMAZING and FANTASTIC and pretty darn SEXY !!!! Welcome to the club.........

  • This was always one of my favorite Osmond songs! They have always been such fantastic live performers! GENUINE talent! I've been a fan since I was three years old and I'll be a fan for the rest of my life!

  • Love the Osmonds. Fantastic. Brings back a lot of memories.

  • wasn't Merril the lead vocalist on this song?

which osmond brothers wrote this song?

  • I love 0:43 boy Merrill can really move.

  • @lynjef7 he sure can :) :)

  • @lynjef7 So can Donny. If he would have flapped his arms any more he would have taken off flying!

  • @lynjef7 YES HE CAN LYNJEF, HE WAS HOT WAY BACK THEN.

I LOVE THE OSMOND BOYS, HAD THEM PICS ALL OVER MY WALLS

    WHEN I WAS A TEEN.

  • my sis does a dance to this

  • OH MY GOSH!!! I remember this - I was there! Wow - what an incredible show that was..... oh boy, for THOSE days again............ *grin*

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! ;-D

  • im 46 now but back when i was a kid the osmonds and jackson 5 ruled the music world.also you had the defranco family bobby sherman. and tiger beat magazine the 70s were cool wish i could go back in time.

  • i grew up with these guys too. i am 49 and remember listening to all these songs and the ones you mentioned.

  • bark, my sister used to tease me about liking Donny... hey ! I was only nine years old.& not interested in having any teen idols

  • Can you handle these Elvis Outfits "Thank you Thank you very much"

  • Oh yes....! Deffo with these guys inside them! LOL Elvis was edging forty when he wore his. The Osmonds from Donny at 15 thru to Alan at 27 far sexier.........

    xxx

  • Wow! Merril used to really shake his groove thang!

  • I always say this is the best song they did..till I hear "The Proud One" or "And You Love Me" or "Are You Up There" or "Let Me In" or "Movie Man" or or or or you all know what I'm saying...YOU try and decide !!! LOL

    cheers Merrillyn,

    Gailxxx

  • Love this one they were and still are awesome! no comparison!

  • Why? The Osmonds were greatly influenced by Led Zepplin in fact the two bands were great friends coming to each others concerts and were even on stage together. The Led let the Osmonds even use their sound system when they were both touring the UK and playing the say venues.

  • You tell them, g/f!

  • You Go Lyn.....what the Blow-Hards dont realise is that the Os' always had the respect of Bands in the Industry, who appreciated talent when they heard it!

  • @glcfordco

Exactly. i am a HUGE Led Zep fan. Have all their albums. But i also loved the Osmonds as a tween and a teen and still love them. They are extremely talented and pretty damn hot.

  • @justchillin961 exactly. thanks. I just wish more people could extract The Osmonds (rock) from the ballads Donny was asked to sing. ( I LOVE Donny - but LOVE The Osmonds doing their stuff too).

  • You are comparing wonderful pop rockers with hard rockers? I'll take the Osmonds ANY DAY against jimmy page and robert plant. You are SO FUNNY!!!!!

  • You are ignorant...get over your insecurities man, they were great entertainers...and still are...

  • ha, ha, ha!!!!!-

The osmonds are SO much better!!!

  • Same guy that made Elvis' jumpsuits made theirs...Bill Belew.

  • Jay looks soooo HOT HOT HOT HOT playing those drums.. YUM YUM YUMMEH! Wish I could reach through the screen grab him and give him THE lip lock of his life...... LOL

  • Ok Merrillyn - I'm finally gonna admit it - Merrill is so darn sexy in this!!!!!! There you've finally made me crack!!! LOL LOL

Why did I never notice those hips before? Oh cos Donnys eyes got in the way LOL

    your mate Gailxx

  • I just love that 'hip swivel' at 0.43 its just so Merrill.

  • Where is this darn river - Im on my way....LOL

    Gailxx

  • Yes I'd like to be getting 'nice and cosy' with Merrill down at that lazy river - dream on.

  • What is it with us and these boys and water.....LOL

    your mate Gailxx

  • We are just very 'clean' fans heheh

  • Its just our thoughts that get a bit a 'grubby' eh? LOL

    Gailxx

  • Ha too right g/f

    Merrillyn (mwah)

  • You're terrible, Merrillyn......LOL

    Gailxx

  • They ALL look darm sexy in this!! Love those moves!!!! Donny is such a doll....duh!

  • Oh so agree, Amanada. Each and everyone of them. Where did they get their 'Wholesome & Pure' tag from? lol

    xx

  • I swear it looks like Merrill is motioning for Donny to 'come down' onto the stage with him at 1:19 because Donny seems to suddenly notice and jumps down there!

  • Fitted well that bit didn't it? LOL

Donny always 'came in' on that section of the song......

Love these 'early' performances. Days b4 that "little upstart" went and blew all apart by making us all fall in love with HIM and getting HIS show with HIS sister eh Lyn LOL LOL LOL

    your mate Gailxx

  • been an osmond fan sence 72 and even at the age of 10 i didnt have as much energy as they have lol.

  • Awesome! What memories! One of my favorite Osmond songs! Thanks for the memories! (of course they could rock!!) born in 1962.

  • This should shut up all those critics who maintain that the Osmonds can't rock! This is some hard rockin', right here!

  • i was born 72....i love the ozzies

  • I was there! This was my first of many Osmonds concerts. Donny is still my favorite performer. I love those dance moves. :) It was definitely live!!!!

  • These were the good old days!! Loved them!! still do after 50 years!!

  • This is one of my fav. all time Osmonds songs (its my ring tone on my mob. ph.) text msg I get Hold Her Tight.........Osmonds Rockin'/ Donny croonin' my life....

  • I was at this concert in 72. i was 10 or 11 i believe. omg i love the psonds and I get to go to vegas in sept and have vip tickets to meet donny and marie woohoooo

  • My sister was a big Osmonds fan in the early 1970's, but I was indifferent. Then I went with her to the concert in this video at the Ohio State Fair - boy, was I impressed! They used a sound system patterned after that of Led Zeppelin and played their own instruments, with some accompaniment from others. Very impressive, hard-working guys!

  • all that meat and no potatotes! I feel like cleaning my house now.

  • you gotta give them props they could move..

  • This was my favorite song for a whole year!! I still love it!

  • They're singing live, folks! Donny's struggling with voice change. It can't get more live than this!

  • Alan Is Too Cute!

  • I've seen more concerts in my life than I can count. I even remember a few of them. In any event, most groups never came close to working this hard. And this was some state fair, not Madison Square Garden or whatever.

We all hated the Osmonds back in the day. I'm a guy, about Donny's age. They just weren't cool. But, yanno, you get older and look at things differently. I was just messin' on YT and saw this. Man, those guys were workin' hard. A lot of bands coast

    Long live the Osmonds

  • I love their music..but i am so disapointed when i watch through the videos here on youtube..it seems like they never ever played for real live..it was all singback to backgrounds musicians...why ????

  • so all in all it was all just a fake..

  • and all those fantastic musicians...never got in spotlights... always in the dark way back on stage...

  • Um, I've never known anyone who hated the Osmonds, guys or gals. "back in the day", there was nothing wrong with them unless you just couldn't stand good music, fantastic voices, and just good, hardworking nice people.

  • @Nemeses24 It's true. They may not have HATED them, but a lot of people didn't admit they liked the Osmond's. It was like you were a nerd for liking them cuz they were cute and cheesie.

  • wow, they are all such good dancers.... :D

  • Brilliant!

  • oh Donny looked sooo cute

    xxxx

  • Is this Led Zeppelin?

  • what is your problem?

  • Merrill is one hell of a sexy mover .... i wonder if he is that good in (very naughty thoughts lol) ....... OK i think id better stop there lol

  • I've often wondered that myself 'sparkle' God it would have been great to find out.

Okay I'm heading for that cold shower now.

    Lyn

  • I'm 24, when I saw this video I felt in love with the Osmond Brothers... they're really adorable and very talented :)

    nice perfomance :D

I love this song!!!!! Jay, Merril & Donny are sooooo cute. Thanxs for post this video

  • I remember one time, a kid ask me 'what are these?" & I told him..."well its umm..giant cd's"

  • I use to have quite a few '45's back in the day.

  • Me too I still have a whole cupboard full that I have not played in a long while. Hubby bought me a portable turntable system for Christmas 2006 but still haven't used it I think its about time to bring the old 45's back to life - the kids would be blown away they only know CD's.

  • They were 7" acros with a big hole in the middle. It was the way singles were sold.

  • A 45 was a small record you could buy back in the day. One song on each side.

  • This may sound dumb but, what's a 45?

  • It was a vinyl record that contained only one song per side, and was meant to be played on a record player at the 45rpm speed. LPs were played at 33 1/3rpm. They were the mainstay of the music industry in the 50's thru the 70's.

  • :) :)

    That's cute!

    Great song anyway.

  • Occasionally you'ld find a 45 with two or more cuts on each side. I had :>( a 45 of Elvis with 3 on each side. Wish I hadn't lost that one.
