- 78.55% white (vs 87.92% white population estimated in England and Wales overall in 2009)
- 7.93% asian (vs 5.87% overall)
- 3.26% chinese (vs 1.59% overall)
- 3.26% other (vs 1.80% overall)
- 2.56% black (vs 2.80% overall)
So as you can see the mix of origins on the programme is more diverse than the average popolation, and the % of black people though a bit lower is not too far off the average.
Hi, we can't really comment about Oxford :), but we can assure you that the Manchester School of Architecture's student population is quite diverse.
The data we have from last year says that amongst the students currently registered on an Arch course who responded to questions regarding their ethnic origin as part of their application (429 students out of 726, i.e. 59% of the total), ethnic origin breakdown is as follows:

Forgot to mention - with re: to the video, it probably just happened that no black students were around the day it was filmed. We'll try and do better in the future!
@CorvetteTeaser What a beautifully ridiculous question. Inevitably there is going to be less Black applicants, as the black population is a minority population.
