    Un saluto dall'Italia!

    Ciao

  • This looks like Martin guitar am I correct?

  • @olddominion394 No, this is an old Larson guitar. But it is a little similar in looks to a tripleO martin.

  • @WilMaring Thanks was driving me a little nuts!

  • @olddominion394,

    It's a Jumbo guitar,a 16" model,vintage Euphonon,made by Larson brothers.It's a mahogany guitar if i'm right.

Robert Bowlin is one of my favorite players.Just amazing!

  • So good! Thank you.

  • Great Pickin'!

  • Great playing! Your brother was right. I'm taking his coruses at BRTC. He told me you were a great musician. Really nice playing.

  • I added 'going down' people check it out!

  • reminds me of the music they play at california adventures near the redwood tree area......relaxing.

  • Robert is the master of tone. I've heard all the big boys and he definitely has the touch. A master at work. That...is music!!

  • Fantastic. Lovely touch; delicate yet authoratative. 5 stars.

  • He sounds a like Norman Blake.

  • I was looking for something on Larson guitars & hit the jackpot. Not only the guitar but the player of whom i'd never heard. Later y'all, I've got some listening to do.

  • I have long known that Robert was a MASTER of the fiddle, and now I know that he also a master of the guitar. Superb picking!

  • beautiful.

  • great picker

  • Robert is a great player-he plays like he has nothing to prove. One of the best.

    James Caudill

  • this isnt the same as chet atkins version the melody is diffrent

  • This song was written by Robert Bowlin. Two different songs.

  • thanks. i just knew that chet had written a song called maybelle that is a lot diffrent than his. and im not verry familiar with robert bowlin

  • Just google him and his website and MySpace page will load up....you're missing out on a master of flatpicking. Flatpicked with The Osbourne Brothers band. Thanks, wil

  • yeah he's not to bad is he. haha. he has one of those styles that is fairly simple but very tasteful, like james alan shelton.

  • nice guitar. wonderful tone

  • Beautifully done! I don't do much flat picking. But, if I did, this is how I would want to do it! :-) 5* -Derek

  • Looks like Steve Carrell!

    Excellent playing.

  • I've listened to many many great guitarist here on youtube, but Robert is quickly becoming my all time favorite!! I love his simple, but very melodic style! Thanks.

  • This is fantastic. Any ideas on how the guitar is tuned? The lowest string is definitely below E.

  • It's tuned in Drop D, which is standard, except you lower the low E down to D.

  • Bought your new cd,"Six String Soliloquy".It became one of my all-time favorite acoustic guitar cds.

Thank you,you are an AMAZING player!

    Regards from Greece,

    Yiannis

  • again, excellent

  • When heard a audio clip of this at Cdbaby, I was convinced that Robert was double tracking! I guess I've got to believe my eyes more than my ears!

  • magnifique! quelle dextérité. il joue avec une aisance et une concentration extraordinaires. une vraie leçon. superbe!

    thanks HOBOSEAN

  • This is so awesome.

  • Incredible, can't wait to see you in March.

    Dave

  • great tune man. the way you can get the melody out so clearly with all the strumming going on behind is amazing.

    michael berk

  • Now THIS is how flatpicking should sound. He can build a very beautiful melody and, like mentioned in the description, seeks out the emotion in the song and not 'hot picking'.

By they way, does he really use a beveled pick? :p maybe that's why I don't hear any picking noise or too much metal from the high strings...

  • I didn't know Steve Carell of "the office" could play guitar this well!!

    I kid, because I care...

    Excellent!!

  • He is a vary talented man, I wish I cold play 1/2 a well.

  • very very good :D excelent!

  • Very great. The tempo was just right.

  • Always great. Hope to play again with you soon. [LB]

  • very cool Robert, Michael Green here. Hope you doing well. Hope we can play together again soon!!!

  • Great Job Robert. Z. F.

  • 5 stars!

  • Such beautiful guitar work , I guess it's appropriate that it's called " MAYBELLE ". That name is kind of fitting for great guitar and country music .

  • very nice,....yeah!

  • awesome!!!

  • Amazing guitar player!

    Rocket

  • Hmm I was surprised to see him using a pick instead of fingerstyle after hearing the song for some moments. Great sound, great skill!

  • wow. wish he could learn me some skills!

  • "Comment on this video?" <gr> honestly..it doesn't leave anything wanting to be said.

    Peace and Good Pickin!
