This is entirely plausable, If humans came out of africa 40-50,000 years ago, and followed the coast,. hen they arrived at the Indus Plains rich in resources it is entirely logical that they would stay put down roots and become civilised. Russian and Sanskrit are from the Indo-European Language family while Chinese is from the Sino-Tibetian family. Old Russian originated from the second flow of INDO_EUROPEANS. They moved to the west and east around 2500 B.C while Sanskrit has been in India for far far longer.

If you look at the general themes in a cross section of all the worlds religions, you will find there are common elements. This goes for myth aswell. There are numerous ancient stories of a great flood. There is no reason to think some type of global flood did not occur.
