You guys are the best, Why not make an Air browser app that outperforms everything there is. I know you guys are capable of doing this. Adobe works hard!
@auakaga How so? It has a higher screen DPI. It costs 37% of an iPad 2 (with MN sales tax, Kindle Fire is tax free). It runs Android, which is at this point just as good as iOS. It has the Amazon and Android marketplaces. The fire is also open to rooting, and Amazon doesn't care. And lastly, what do I need 3g for when I have a 4G LTE /wireless N hotspot with Verizon that is 5-12 mbs down?
@jclaine Of course the fact that it only comes with 8gb ("6gb for user content) will have no impact on its performance nor limit what one can do with it. The kindle fire doesn't seem like any real improvement from other droid tablets out there. Where once windows was the competition with Apple it's been filled in on the mobile side by the droid. Really Apple offers an outstanding and easy compatibility between products which is still lacked by competitors.
@abs7rac7 For me the 6gb of space is more than enough. If I wanted to watch a movie I can toss any file format (mkv, mp4, DviX,, AVI...) on my 16gb thumb drive and watch it from there, as unlike the iPad Android can connect to mass storage devices. I have an iPhone and I love iOS on my4s but it is limited for a tablets purpose . I also despise the necessity of iTunes as its only content management software, it is fucking terrible for PC and has been for a very very long time.
@dontgoplastic I guess you missed where scrolling a list is sluggish in TONS of native apps. It's not actually that easy to do in a memory limited environment and you clearly have no clue what you're talking about.
@Tegeril Hmm, I don't seem to have any issues scrolling a similar CoreData-backed UITableView, but then again, I clearly don't know what I'm talking about.

are these iPad 1 or iPad 2?
If these are iPad2, then I believe in iPad1 the performance is still unacceptable
