i like dessage but the way they have to carry there head is so bad...plus the bits tear up there mouth!! thats why he kept his mouth open to take the bit from hiting the roof of his mouth and pressing on his gums
He is behind the vertical :|, his nose is almost in his chest that is painful for the horse. He's gorgeous but i hate to see horses been worked like that :S
@DeathKitty123456 some dressage trainers prefer having them behind the vertical, it's all about personal preference. It's also proven that it isn't always painful to the horse, based on the rider.
@teeheeigiggled Whether they prefer it or not it is still wrong and painful. The poll is no longer the highest point and in a competition you would be penalised for it. In the long run it can cause a bone growth (a bit like like bone spavin) on the skull between the ears and the spine (neck). This is like artheritis and shows up as stiffness or unwillingness.
Some of you guys dont understand the video or how to ride a dressage horseI have been riding horses for over 17 yrs the last 6 yrs i have been riding upper levels ofdressage it takes talent to ride a horse of that calber i bet half of you could not a upper level dressage horse and u are saying here poshuture is wrong who cares she is making the horse do everything right hey i can fly u guys out and have u ride my dressage horse which is a 50 k horse i bet all of u u couldnt ride him
for god's sake people, there is nothing wrong with the rider. you don't have to have perfect equitation in every ride. and she obviously KNOWS how to ride well. the horse looks fantastic and it is because of how she trains him, not because her eq isn't absolutely perfect.
You all should quit criticizing the rider because you all are making yourselves look bad. There is a difference between riding in a show ring equitation frame and riding in a training frame. But, only people who don't train wouldn't know that. I'm sure that those of you criticizing this rider could have never trained the horse to go like this or gotten this much expression out of the horse. Logic tells me that she must be doing a lot more things right than things wrong. Stunning horse.

he is quite nice however you dont really roll with your seat and you are sucking him way too far behind the vertical. in his slow motion extended trot i can see you pulling and snatching the bit which tells me he is either light in the bridle but you are holding on or he is heavy and you have to pull him onto the bit. and i agree with NELSONREED. why must you overflex?
