1. in straight pool its common to take on an intentional foul

2. the only ball in hand in this game is behind the head string

@urwholefamilydied Point penalty but cue ball stays after a table scratch, like in one pocket, so scratches can be taken on purpose for strategic purposes.

i know the proffessor is a big admirror of rempe but in his early commetery he said if it looks easy your doin it right why is it rempe makes every shot look hard and thats any match ive seen him play yes he gets out but watch him play 9ball wow its amazing he relize on shot making to compinsate for his lack of cue ball control

to clearify efren isnt a 9ball player he started playin balk line ,3 cushion , rotation , straight pool ,then in the 80's he went were the money was 9ball

i think danny and the proffessor were a little biast in their every efren shot sayin thats not the shot i would shoot and yet he fell on every ball perfect but jimmy comes to to the table falls out of line numerous shots some very questionable yet you here no remark on his patterns maybe they are all obsilete and if big money was in straight pool nobody would touch efren

@123987tone its because theyre americans and the style of play is different from the filipinos..efren is the most creative guy and he can see things most ppl dont...the commentators play it safe and doesnt risk or gamble like efren does so they never get or understand efren is going for until he does it..hence the name The Magician!
