Concerning Tako Luka: when Luka was first released, it is up to the fans/choreographers to decide what her character item will be. Since her hair kind of resembles an octopus, a suggestion was made that Luka could hold all of the other Vocaloids' items- thus Tako Luka.

Luka's character item is a tuna fish, I have no idea why.
