When to Use Credit and Debit Cards

Here is how to use credit and debit card: always use debit. End of story. Or even better, use cash. Only reason to have credit card is to show you are financially reliable and on extremely rare occasions if you need to spend money that you dont already have

2:22 is not true.  Bank of america got me my money back after 2 weeks which I was over-charged in a restaurent by using my Debit card.

Hi I have some questions.

I still don't understand some of the terms in this video.

1. I always used my credit card for purchasing lunch and gas and little things; and debit for ebay and amazon. I paid back my credit by the amount they ask me to pay and never had a late payment; do they charge interest in this case?

2. Should I pay back the full amount?

3. Or they only charge interest when I have late payment?

4. I always thought that you have to pay interest to build credit.

You should always pay the full ammount due every month and not pay late to avoid being charged interest. Also going over your credit limit and making cash advances and balance transfers will result in being charged interest.

They always charge interest. It's how the credit card companies make money. They charge late fees if it's late. I know this didn't answer all the questions but hope it cleared up a little bit. (:
