ok this probably seems really ignorant. but if they are so poor why do they have so many kids? i know they wouldnt have contraception or good contraception. but if they would have to realise early on how much food they have to feed x amount of people. so why keep having sex and having kids. to me it seems like it just makes it harder on themselves

The show is called cooking in the danger zone for a reason. the whole point of it is that he is supposed to travel around the globe, to places we'll most likely never visit, taste the food, and tell us about it. You think he just wanted into a house randomly? A manager/producer approaches these families through a local mediator and fixes up a schedule. To be there right when they are cooking. So they are paid in advance too.

i m from pakistan and mostly afghan people work here and there almost 5million afghan refugees here in pakistan.. but here these people are involve mostly in different crimes so its hard for pakistani people as well that they do these kind of activities here... actually pakistan is also not very rich country and have great population aroun 170 moilliuon... so these people should do work hard for the betterment of there lives...

I am confused, i know this regions northers Afghanistan has a very rich farming industry and has fertile ground and every family owns livestock, breakfast is made up of cheese, eggs and honey with green tea and fresh nana, and dinner is always meat and at lumch its vegies. this must be an exception

I think it's sad that many of us have the privilege of getting the tap. I've got no problem with walking for miles as long as the waters there. If you don't have time to walk for miles for one of the only 2 things you need in life you need to re-evaluate your time. The walk doesn't bother me but it's sad that sometimes there is no (or extremely little) food or water at all for some people.

Perhaps teach them how to grow some stuff that likes the desert (I know their soil is shit), but don`t just sit there n wait for your food, maybe some chickens could do ok there.
