The song was offered to Britney, and she recorded this demo, and then dropped it from her album because she had enough songs, Gaga picked it up. In any case, it shows that no, Gaga does NOT write all her own songs, and the ones she does write is via ideas that she gives to writers, as most performers do. There are very few artists left, most are performers, but very good ones, so I take nothing away from them, for example Celine does an incredible job performing songs, and none of them are hers.

She wrote/co-wrote songs for Britney Spears (including "Telephone"), Fergie, The Pussy Cat Dolls, and The New Kids On The Block. Gaga obviously doesn't do all the mixes and synthesizers, etc but she probably sits down at a piano and comes up with a song, and the studio and production crew take it from there

It's a demo though. Do y'all actually think they would put this on an album sounding like THIS?! This is the very first stage of the song recording. It's to give the artist an idea of what the song would sound like mastered, so the vocals would be different on the final version.

It was confirmed by Rodney Jerkins (the producer) that she never recorded a final version because of the vocoder he used on her vocal (what people are calling auto-tune).
