as someone who had loved Metallica since i started listening to music i really think its time they stopped playing. they rank among the greatest musicians of all time but they just dont have it anymore. i understand that they are old and its completely understandable that they arent nearly as good anymore. all things must end sometime and its better to end on a good note. they just can't play their great songs of the past with the greatness they deserve, and their new stuff just isnt "metallica"

Just as Metallica did, accidently they became worldstars with the Black Album and with the Load and ReLoad - albums they took a risk (nobody really was waiting for bluesy rock from Metallica) and St.Anger was an album that they created out of frustration and Death Magnetic was in my opinion a great album which had nothing to do with selling out.

@triplehood First of all I hate the sound of both st. anger and deth megnetic thoose mixes are really bad. 2nd thing is that Kirk can't make any good solos longer, my apocalyps is a good song but Kirks solo really sucks. I don't dislike deth magnetic (i've never said that) but I still don't think it's a great album but the best thing about the album is that it is a moore thrashier album than the others moore commercials albums they made in te 90th.
