LEWIS: You have a bad habit that, to grow, you must break. You have FOUR fingers on your left hand not THREE. Your pinky is out there goofing off, you're only using 3/4's of your equipment. When playing four fret (or more) stretches (especially below the 12th fret) use ALL four. This gives greater speed and efficiency. Do some scale work to develop your little finger dexterity. Once developed, it will make those stretches easier,longer and more natural.
