NFS: Prostreet features the best car customization options of any racing game so far. It allows you to mirror the same sides of your car as one layer with up to 40 layers total of decals and vinyls. Definitely worth trying because there is a lot of emphasis on the physics of the car such as the tires smoke during a drag burnout and the way each car handles differently. A next gen game for someone who loves racing.

I've played it, finished it and i think it's not that great. I really hate the steering, it's extremely fiddly and not exactly responsive. Sometimes my cars even slowed down for no reason, even if I was going in a perfect straight line. And why oh why does the guy driving shift so slow? even with level 4 transmission he shifts like my grandma, unlike underground (2). And I hated the fact that you can't skip when you crash, it's like NFS says 'haha you crashed you dumbass, see how hard you fail!'
@GTASAmovies1 Maybe your cars slow down because you have your driver gameplay as Casual. And it maybe takes a while to shift because you can drive manual also.

I just thought about it, I have it set to king where you get no assistance opposed to racer and the other setting they assist in braking probably the feeling you get, (brakes feel like their on).

Its true the stearing in this game completely blows ass but EA doesnt always scew up what about burnout its made by EA and the tunring in it is fine. and for the record this game sucks.
1. The game has a ton of glitches. Rims keep switching back to default for no reason, the car randomly starts steering in one direction and you can't stop it, etc.
2. The worst controls and interface ever made.
3. The damage system just doesn't work - it's unrealistic, random and doesn't improve the gameplay ONE BIT... And sometimes the car is dented even after you've repaired it.
I've beaten it 3 times... You haven't played it enough.
The graphics and vinyls suck, you can't create your own body kits and there's one more parameter that should be added to the spoiler.
The handling aid is just unrealistic - you're unable to hold a constant angle, slight turns are impossible because the aiding makes your car bounce back, there are glitches, and the whole thing feels stiff.
You should be able to customize the steering aid and all of the parts of your car.
its called steering responce ratio ....and u can customize it ....why should there be 1 more spoiler option ? who really cares..
if u dont like the handling aid just turn it off lol ....if u play in king difficulty u should do all the braking ...turn off traction control and anti lock brakes if u wanna drift a little more in grip races
it should also let u keep angles if u turn your toe deeper and if u keep your camber lower u wont all that grip ....i also keep very low pressure in the tires ussualy 0 in the front and 2-3 units in the back ...i tune the car for as much acceleration as possible and shot shifts and so far it seems very realistic the only non realistic part of the game is the drag speed...and the wheelie challenge
...the drifting is pretty realistic but very eazy it should be more about braking and clutch kickng in this gmae drifting is just countersteering ...but the grip racing in the game is the most realistic so far int he series....
Need For Speed Highstakes FTW! When windows 98 was around, we had customization(sort of, as we only had paint and 3 upgrades, some with vinyl additions, but this was hella long ago), Lots of cars, lots of tracks, damage, paying for damage, highstakes(pink slip) races, elimination races, just races, tournaments

is it just me, or does the steering in the game feel fucked up? like seriously, it feels like the brakes are on, and when you turn left or right, it feels like the front tires aren't turning, fucking EA, can't they just copy GRID? like don't they fucking test their games after making them?
I don't know if it's just me or what, but god damn it makes the game horrible.
TIP for EA: Stop using 100% of your energy on graphics, and work on shit like fucking steering, you goofs.

I think it may be you I just got this game and I can adapt to most games the steering isin't so bad I dont hit the brake on turns I just lay off the gas and im alright. Although i also undersatnd your point. try taping the handbrake a bit

I don't know, just the steering felt off, kinna like when you get use to driving a car, and then it starts feeling different, even the slightest feeling you can notice.

I see what you mean there is a bit of a feeling i get from playin that when i go really fast its risky to do a quick manouver cuz you could crash. But that just might be the realism they put in the game ie if you haul ass in a real car your chances of wrecking are pretty high. coolbeans

that's true, I didn't get past the first race, lol, I just didn't like the way it felt when driving, it to me did feel like the brakes were on or something. but I'm sure that it was realistic when you were driving at high speeds, from what your telling me, maybe the steering gets better as you program, I don't know. I could always reinstall it...

I just thought about it, I have it set to king where you get no assistance opposed to racer and the other setting they assist in braking probably the feeling you get, (brakes feel like their on).

Its true the stearing in this game completely blows ass but EA doesnt always scew up what about burnout its made by EA and the tunring in it is fine. and for the record this game sucks.

This is the worst nfs ever made:
1. The game has a ton of glitches. Rims keep switching back to default for no reason, the car randomly starts steering in one direction and you can't stop it, etc.
2. The worst controls and interface ever made.
3. The damage system just doesn't work - it's unrealistic, random and doesn't improve the gameplay ONE BIT... And sometimes the car is dented even after you've repaired it.
4. Sector shootout is imbalanced.
5. Customization is almost nonexistent.

I've beaten it 3 times... You haven't played it enough.
The graphics and vinyls suck, you can't create your own body kits and there's one more parameter that should be added to the spoiler.
The handling aid is just unrealistic - you're unable to hold a constant angle, slight turns are impossible because the aiding makes your car bounce back, there are glitches, and the whole thing feels stiff.
You should be able to customize the steering aid and all of the parts of your car.

its called steering responce ratio ....and u can customize it ....why should there be 1 more spoiler option ? who really cares..
if u dont like the handling aid just turn it off lol ....if u play in king difficulty u should do all the braking ...turn off traction control and anti lock brakes if u wanna drift a little more in grip races

it should also let u keep angles if u turn your toe deeper and if u keep your camber lower u wont all that grip ....i also keep very low pressure in the tires ussualy 0 in the front and 2-3 units in the back ...i tune the car for as much acceleration as possible and shot shifts and so far it seems very realistic the only non realistic part of the game is the drag speed...and the wheelie challenge

...the drifting is pretty realistic but very eazy it should be more about braking and clutch kickng in this gmae drifting is just countersteering ...but the grip racing in the game is the most realistic so far int he series....
