I don't know, it sucks when a band plays a ton of covers to make up for a dearth of material, but I always hope for a good band to play at least one cover, just to hear their take on it. It's what helps make music such a communal experience.

If you know the Reverend's music, he has a ton of great material. What he did was a short history of music, from Nirvana, to Black Sabbath, to The Stray Cats, to Greensleeves.... If you were at the show, it was amazing to hear his versions, which in the case of the Stray Cats, as good as the original. It's called 'fun'. Playing these songs, and listening to them, 'fun'. Look it up.

saw the rev in dekalb il and i was blown away, the drummer had the mic in the bass drum and it felt like you were getting kicked in the chest....at a million miles an hour.... overall the show was excellent highly recommend seeing them live

Us 'complainers' want to hear more of the Reverend's songs - not songs by Motorhead, Roger Miller, Elvis and Black Sabbath. I love the guy to pieces - I buy every CD, I've been to every show. I have stickers on my car and t-shirts in my drawers. But I'd sure like to go to a show and hear The Girl in Blue, or New York City Girls, or Please Remember Me, or..............
