when you are in #4 you can call custom rules which will vary from school to school, state to state, possibly including "blackjack" where balls may be caught before the bounce to get out the hitter, or "body language" where any part of the body can be used to propel the ball, or "double tap" which is the ONLY time a doube touch may be allowed- the royalty MUST call the custom rule prior to every round or else the regular rules as stated earlier apply

yeah, let's get this right- #4 (royalty) ALWAYS serves EASY to the #1 square (which is diagonally opposite), the ball bouncing in the centre of the #1 square- the server gets another attempt if there is a fault, as does the receiver- players can use either hand or a volleyball double-hand stroke after the first bounce in their square- outside lines are in, inside lines are out- unless called as a special rule "carries" are faults-

Your description of the game is very vague. I teach this to my students too. I would not call the first square the toilet. I guess it would be OK with middle school age children and up. We also make a rule that the King server must keep one foot on the back corner of their square when serving the ball. And, must use an open , flat underhand serve.  Any ball that hits an interior line is a "do over" exterior lines are considered IN
