I'm sorry but if any of you people actually lived in Hawaii, you would know is all the Hawaiians do is complain about the way they live. They never bother to actually study in school or get high paying jobs. My family isn't Hawaiian or white but we've been there for more than a hundred years and we get along just fine. They just want free stuff. It was very wrong to take the lands from their ancestors, but it was a crime committed against people who no longer exist, by people who no longer exist.
@Skullking489 I'm not hawaiian nor am I white like you my family immagrated to this country seeking opprotunity because we had no where else to go. The King, invited us to come and make a new life for us in Hawaii. Is this how you repay the Hawaiians? You betray God, your county, and your fellow man with such words. You betray yourself and bring shame to your family. Without Hawaiians my family would have starved or have been murdered by the Spanish had we stayed in the Filippines.
@kiele21 It wasn't the Hawaiians who defended Hawaii and saved the rest of the Pacific from the Japanese. It was the United States. The Japanese would have done the same in Hawaii as they did to every other nation the conquered, slaughter the resistance, slaughter the old, slaughter the young, and then whoever still standing gets to be worked or starved to death. It's almost guaranteed that my grandparents would have died and therefore I owe my existence to the USA.
@Skullking489 Yes that is true enough, but where would you be if had not your grandparents been able to immigrat in the first place. Answer that??? You poor stupid American loveing Idiot. How selfish and naive you are... The USA was at fault for having had put us in harms way to begin with, had they not taken over and militarized the place.
@kiele21 If you read a history book on WWII you would know the Japanese wanted total domination of the Pacific. Hawaii is actually the most strategic military location in all of the Pacific. It would have been the Japanese's first target had it not been for the oil supply from America. They only attacked when we cut it off for their brutal war crimes. Also don't insult me for being proud of the thousands of American soldiers who fought in the Pacific. Which includes members of my family.
@Skullking489 Oh please dont lecture me on WWII. I had family who fought on both sides of the war. You wanna talk about war crimes? Even after My grand uncles joined th american side they still decided to lock us up in internment camps. How can you be so ignorant??? They dont like us, they never have. If YOU OPENED up a history book you would know America has a long disgusting history of ethnic genocide, Imperialism, and Empire building that continues today. You've been brainwashed
@kiele21 that happened to many Japanese Americans because the American officials believed they may still be loyal to Japan. It was wrong and America paid reparations. But I don't understand how this can be even compared to Japans war crimes. America had internment camps, japan had death camps. It is actually known as the Asian holocaust. Visit the Wikipedia page on Japanese War Crimes, and then compare it to American Internment camps. If you still find them to be related then you are blind.
@Skullking489. What difference would it make if Japan did take over Hawaii? It does not make America any better! America was and still is just as vile. Futhermore, what purpose would Japan have with us? Hawaii and Japan had strong diplomatic and personal relations with each other! Futhermore, they were one of the people who protested the American intervention of 1893.
@UniteHawaii I don't think you quite understand, when the Imperial Japanese invaded a country they didn't just kill those who stood against them, they begin ethnic cleansing. They were the Nazi's of the Pacific; believing themselves to be superior to all races and invincible in battle. There would have been hardly any survivors of a Japanese occupation.I don't think America is absolutely perfect, but America did save Hawaii from slaughter.Just visit the Japanese War Crimes page in Wikipedia.
@Skullking489. So? And America is not different from them in general? For example, if anyone was loyal to the monarchy or threaten the authority of the so-called "American government's" presence in Hawaii, they were sent to prison or excuted! Even though thats not bad compare to what Japan "might" have done, in general its still bad! If a person does something bad regardless of its magnitude, its still bad in general! And what American Government has and is still doing is bad. And they know it!
@UniteHawaiiThe overthrow was done by non Hawaiian locals who were afraid of an uprising. the only time people died was during the the four day revolution of 1895. Hardly anyone died and if they went to prison it was only for a short time. They then wanted to be annexed into the US. I don't know where you get the idea that the US government was killing people. Also, it is not what the Japanese "might" have done, it's what they did. The US never beheaded, starved, or worked anyone to death.
@Skullking489. Okay. Little bit of a misunderstanding. The overthorw was done by armed intervention of the U.S military, who was ordered by the U.S. ambassador in Hawaii, who also conspired with the group of Hawaiian citizens, who commited treason, to overthrow the Hawaiian Government. "Hawaiian" is define as a nationality. And its also common sense. Hawaii is a nation like any other nation. And those key people who were part of the overthorw, were themselfs Hawaiians because they were born here
Everywhere the white man goes he lies, cheat, steal and kill to get what he wants, this story sounds familiar, look how America was stolen from the Native American, and the Native Indians live in poverty on reserves sad!!!
6:43. I hope so too, Your Excellency! With your knowledge, we're all psychology free!
I just hope when that day comes, theres peace and love towards one another! Right now, theres too much anger and hate! Its very sad! And its nobody's fault! Its the U.S. Government's fault! Their evilness is the reason why! People need to get this anger and hate towards one another out of their psyche! Their subjecting themselfs to evil! Love and truth triumphs! Evil falls! And that's historically true!
Im just sick of rich F*cken bastards buying and selling and building on our land. Where ever you were born u should F*cken stay. Us Hawaiians, polynesians are all mixed race of course but it don't matter. Born here, raised here..all others vacation is over go the hell home..p.s. NO F*CKEN haoles claiming KKK or any other racist group would make it out of here alive.. I seen so many of you get the shit crap kicked out of you by the local people.. SO SHUT THE HELL UP..
US WAS MADE ON RACISM THAT IS SOMETHING THAT THE US OWES THE PEOPLE WHO BELONG TO THE LAND AND THE PEOPLE WHOM THEY MADE SLAVES TO BUILD THE COUNTRY .
If someone from Somalia came and took over my land I wouldn't have to worry about how I felt. I would be on the ground, dead, with my rifle in my hand.
Hawaiians should be happy that the U.S took over and not someone else. BTW nice Oakleys buddie, I wonder if you could enjoy your lifestyle without U.S influence/Protection.
@sundevil161. And what would make America any different if another country took us over? America was just as bad. I do not want to go into details, but in general, America was just as bad.
@UniteHawaii 1. Who would have protected you in WWII? Japan would have taken you out to get military on the islands. 2. The freedom America provides to it's citizens ( like the right for ungrateful Hawaiians to protest against the American Government) 3. The American way of living. I'm sure you would rather live a more "natural" Hawaiian lifestyle in your lavarock shack on the beach. (Drinking water, police, fire, technology, housing, healthcare providers ect...)
@sundevil161. Oh please! We're one of the first democratic constitutional monarchy's in the world. The people of Hawaii did have freedom! Not to mention women had the right to vote before the United States did. Japan would have not invaded us. Futhermore, they attacked the U.S. fleet at Peral Harbor, not Hawaii itself! Japan was actually going to become a part of Hawaii. Not by war, but by peaceful treaty between the Emperor and His Majesty the King.
@sundevil161 Dumb haole you clearly don't know Hawai'i or should i say "Amercan History" since your claiming Hawaii is part of the US. Japan never had plans to invade or take over Hawaii they bombed the US navy ships docked here. But i guess a mainlander like you wouldn't know about that, since the US doesn't teach history about the so called "50'th state" huh (:
@hawaiian96chence I stated that they would have walked all over Hawaii to get their military in the central Pacific. Japan would have used Hawaii to organize attacks on the U.S mainland. It's common logic. Japan never wanted to attack Hawaiians (you are right, and I didn't state that they wanted to either..), but they would have to take control of the Hawaiian shores. Since the U.S had taken over Hawaii previously, Japan just wanted to hurt the U.S Pacific fleet to prevent military interference.
@sundevil161 Yes yes that whole paragraph was real nice and all but it's all full of "IF's AND's & BUT's" in other words not facts. That coulda happened but it didn't homie. Well guess what they didn't take over Hawai'i's shores did they. And they were more focused on conquering asia anyways. That was thier first priority.
Yes, it’s too bad Imperil Japan didn’t win the war and liberate Hawaii. They would have treated Hawaiians with the same love and compassion as the Chinese, Indonesians, Koreans and Filipinos when they liberated their land. What a shame indeed.
Why is Puerto Rico even on this subject? this videos were about Hawaii, make your own video P.R, then comment on it. Now I am Apache descendent mix with Tongan/Phillipino, and what the U.S goverment does is wrong, here in the U.S or wherever else, but dont judge all the people for the goverment actions, Goverment here is like your parents, they tell you what fo do & how fo live while you are under their roof, when you moveout, u do what u like, some got not many optionz cause they cant move away
@808Anela He answered that to my comment up there, just look at what I wrote to him/her. He is just racist. Look at what he answered. Sorry for any misunderstanding, respect and peace.
I have never judged all the people by their governments action, all the contrary, as I said, I would love to see the day Americans rise up again...
Oh blow it out your ass, 80.5% of Puerto Ricans have Spanish or white origin. As for America being the land of evil whitee, when I look around where I live I see all kinds of people. It's not 1950 dumb fuck.
My corrupt system system is their corrupt system. If someone doesn't like it then change it. If Puerto Rico or Hawaii don't want to be a part of it, goodbye and good riddance. You're just pissed because I don't cower and say I'm sorry for being of European descent.
You are just falling into "hatetism", something produced by your over patriotic fanaticism. If you did not liked the video about Hawaii end their reality, then why comment and troll? To start ranting about helping them pack? Then you try to sound like you are no racist by telling me and I quote: "As for America being the land of evil whitee, when I look around where I live I see all kinds of people"
Also, don't try to use my origin against me, I am no racist like you.
Keep blaming the evil white man for that fact that your life sucks. I know way too many succesful people that are non-white. They got there through simple hard work.
You want to call yourself a revolutionary? Fight by any means neccesary? Get a job and grow up.

Can you read Spanish, I hope so... If not, well I'll get a job and grow up while you get an education.
Peace Hawaii and a big revolutionary salute from Puerto Rico. We will keep fighting four our independence. Fight by any means neccesary! JAH BLESS! Long live Hawaii and Puerto Rico free!
Wrong, what racially divided Hawaii was the Hawaiians inability to fight for their land and their abandonment of their culture. It has left them with a inferiority complex which they try to compensate for with racism and aggression. This has spread to the locals that run around claiming they too are Hawaiian.
Hawaiian Patriot? You sound like the fool Robert Wilcox, he found out the hard way that the phrase "Hawaiian warrior" is an oxymoron
Akaka Bill: Last nail in the coffin. It will racially divide Hawaii even more!
And as a Hawaiian Patriot, I will not stand for that! My goal as Hawaiian Patriot is to racially unify the people of Hawaii which is comprise of American, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and the Kanaka Maoli along with other ethic backgrounds of Hawaii. While my ideaology is purely nationalism, I will not step foward for restoration of the nation until the people of Hawaii are unified as one!
Yes I've heard about the chanting, song and dance. I've also heard all about the great noble warrior race that was vast superior to the evil haole and only lived in the stone age by choice. I'm sure the locals are quite humbled by your 100% hawaiian ass. Sure is a lot of attitude for a people that abandoned their culture to copy a European monarchy and then not even fight for it.
So called? Sorry, reality. But please keep working on that secession thing, sooner the better, right?
@SkipHawaii Machiavelli was right, also, you do are a useful dumbass... And don't start ranting, I'm not even Hawaiian, I am Puerto Rican. Another culture and island that has been destroyed by the U.S. Sorry but that is their reality and it is also mine, one struggle.
Like we say here, suelta la teta y aprende a caminar...
Another island of whiners? Don't you wish you were free from the US like Haiti? Free to live under a corrupt dictator and starve (and that was long before the earthquake).
watch?v=s3337cj4sJQ
And I know how much Puerto Ricans hate the US. That why more Puerto Ricans live in New York City than in San Juan. You too can glady have your island, just promise all of your people will move out of the US and back home the day of independence. I'll even help them pack!
You sir/miss are just one racist ignorant! Sorry I took my time trying to talk to you!! You know nothing about history do you?!? xD I'm so sorry you redneck KKK, o and, if you do are from the U.S., I will tell you one thing, I bet the Cherokees (the few remaining you didn't killed) are eager to help you people pack too! =D My revolutionaries have given your corrupt system hell, few time until people in U.S. start rising up again and take back their country for good!
white culture is a sick, soulless, disconnected, parasite culture. they do this shit to their own people, and have done it to their own people for hundreds of years and generations before they did it to ndgns people. dont expect them to have a sudden epiphany on how sick they are and change what they do. thats why ndgns ppl need to work with each other across the world and build up strength that way. fuck whitey. he aint gona change.
I was talking about my direct lineage that I read myself from actual city record books, not what my oma/mormor (tutu) told me.
You didn't answer my question as to where your people were 70k years ago, but it's Friday, and I've got to get some work done before I order my Hawaiian style pizza. I've got some Becks in the frig, but I'm thinking I'll grab some Heineken's at the store. It just seems to go so well with that style of pizza.
Wow a 100% Hawaiian that is also a 100% dick. Keep crying about the evil white man then. Hopefully someday the US will be free of you whining saps and you can live like your "free" Fijian brothers and my tax paying wallet will be free of you.
Me? 50% German - going back to at least to 1718, 50% Swedish - going back around 1760, might be some German/Danish before that.
About 70k years before that my people where living in Africa. Where were yours?
Once again you got it wrong. Hawaiian is neither a term for a nationality or a region. It's a style of pizza that contains both Costa Rican pineapples and Canadian bacon.
Now quite whining like your Japanese auntie, crack open a Heineken from Holland and have some Minnesotan SPAM.
Hawaiians should be free plain and simple. Who cares if we'll be at 49 states, the USA is a BS country that only works to advance the interests of white people.
@Hawnguy100 I just put the book Queen Liliuokulani wrote into my basket at Amazon. For an historian something written by someone who was there at the time is called primary source material. Did you know she wrote about what had happened? I'm amazed it is still currently printed. It seemed like a good place to start; if you think of something else I can get from here to read about it please let me know.
@ndimattia Read From a Native Daughter by Haunani-Kay-Trask. She is the woman in the video who stated that she hates the United States. Trask is an activist, author, poet and professor of Hawaiian Studies at the University of Hawaii.
LOL I wish i lived there! Where I live we have 18" of snow on the ground and the temp is between 14 at night and 38 during the day! That's why I was saying that education is the key. Because if one gets a law degree or history or sociology, then one can get involved in the government of your city, state, country. and make the changes you wish to see. The good thing about the US is that we can do that! It's run by it's people.
I can certainly understand the frustration and anger people feel. I'm upset that there are Anti-Hawn organizations or websites or ppl! I am a student of history. I've studied a little bit and the planter class who populated the mainland South and then took their bigotry with them to Hawaii to grow sugarcane seem to me to be the problem. The same people who lost the civil war and then enacted Jim Crow laws! The govt can only be as good or bad as it's ppl get involved and change
@Hawnguy 100 I've been thinking about our conversation and the Hawaiian people's situation. I see more than one issue at play here, and I'd really like to help. I'd like to learn more, and I'd like the information to become public knowledge. The planter class that came and took over DO NOT represent all the white people in the United States. Unfortunately, I'm only one of the other half. That doesn't mean I can't make a difference. According to Mother Theresa all it takes is one.
@Hawnguy 100 Thank you so much for an enlightening and educational discussion. As Micelangelo said when he was 90 "Ancoro Imparo" ("I am still learning") May we never stop, for with learning comes understanding and with understanding there will be peace.
So obviously the Polynesian Cultural Center is an abomination and a tourist trap, but it does sell itself as educational. Can the Hawaiians come up with a competing EDUCATIONAL model that would teach the truth. Give people an understanding of who you are, what happened, and teach them about your culture. Then they would be more likely to help your cause. Y should Brigham Young make money exploiting your story?! U'd hv 2 charge b/c of expenses, but chg less than them n u put m out of business
Would The University of Hawaii have a history department that could publish your stories? Unfortunately most historians have treated the history everywhere as a series of wars. The world could use a few more female historians in my opinion.
so, now, what would you suggest be done to help. Since you are still living under the laws of the United States you should start to work within their framework to create a better future. If not a charitable organization, perhaps a casino? I'm really not trying to be racist or fresh. The way I see the reality is the native people need money because the world won't go backwards to the way it was before. Get the money, get your land back, get the power and control back. it's that simple.
@hawnguy 100 I never said America was perfect. Nor did I say America did everything right or fairly. I said one can't undo the past. Therefore, we (the humans, that is, all of us) should work peaceably to create a better future for our (yours and mine) children.
@Hawnguy 100 Yes it is about Hawaii, I see a film where people are saying they hate America, And I'm saying if you don't like it work to change it, instead of hating! The people responsible for taking Hawaii have long since died. Get your own into the government there and make things better! I was abbreviating the late king's name as there are so few characters allowed to a post. I haven't seen any anti Hawn anything I didn't know there was such a thing.
Actually, since I'm female we probably have quite different reproductive systems other than that we both have lungs, intestines, bladder, muscle, bones, etc etc etc.yes, exactly alike HUMAN. the point is You are blaming Europeans for a Human failing! The color of your skin makes no difference to how you teach your children. Either you teach love and acceptance or hate and bigotry. You teach them to blame others for their problems or to work to make things better. We each chose everyday.
@Hawnguy100 one more thing if you study history, our people, the human ones, have been brutal to each other, the earth, other species, and more recently outer space since we figured out how to walk upright. including the brutality , rape and racism carried out against the native peoples of Scotland Ireland and England by invading tribes from Germany, Scandinavia, and the France. Let's hope humans can all start to teach our children peace, so we don't have to keep making the same mistakes.
@Hawnguy100 Who mentioned race? Not me. Personally I don't believe in race. Each of us is of one race, Human! If i were skinned next to you we would look alike, we would both have the same organs (apart from reproductive) and it would be just as painful for us both! What I look like does not define who I am, any more than you.
@bbz1808 A.) didn't the land belonged to the royal family or Pele? so unless you have Kamehameha himself's blood It wasn't "yours" B.) Kam numero uno was actually an invader from somewhere else himself! C.) I'm not saying you SHOULD have to, only that in reality the title to all property on the islands is in someone's name, so bottom line, to LEGALLY own it anyone must purchase it. Y not the native islanders using money gleaned from donations given by mainlanders?
@Hawnguy100 You've misunderstood my message. I was not saying I or any "Haole" should give Native Hawaiians charity. I was saying they should take a tip from the Native Americans. Start a charitable organization for themselves, who's goal is to BUY BACK their land legally! Hating only looks back, you need to look forward. Get the children educated so they can work for change! Most likely most of the people you are hating have no idea what happened. Don't hate me teach me!
@Hawnguy100 You've misunderstood my message. I was not saying I or any "Haole" should give Native Hawaiians charity. I was saying they should take a tip from the Native Americans. Wow, so much hate. It's really sad. Instead of blaming others for your circumstances; go get an education and work to change the situation. Send your children to college, organize yourselves, and use the law to your advantage. Look forward, not back. Start a charity, "The Royal Hawaiian Redemption Fund" you can have the idea, gratis. Ask Americans for donations, Show them the poverty your children live in. We may be greedy aholes, but we have big hearts. Use the money to buy land!
Hawaiians means people from Hawaii regardless of blood. The natives are called native Hawaiians or kanakas. The people who overthrown the Queen were naturalized citizens of Hawaii of American descent not Americans but America did play a part in the overthrow. Also u can't really call an overthrow illegal it's just like a coup d'état just like the American Revolution.
@SaveChinaTiger Well, actually, people from Hawaii are called 'Locals.' (People w/ none Hawaiian blood at all)
I'm Hawaiian myself... by blood and yeah I do get irritated when people call themselves Hawaiian because they were born in Hawaii. Being born in place, doesn't necessarily mean you're that.
I define my Hawaiians like this;
Locals - Non-Hawaiian people born in Hawaii
Hawaiian - People of the Hawaiian Blood.
This is my opinion, cause Hawaiian people are actually extinct.
@SaveChinaTiger oh and when I said extinct... I meant there's no more Full Blooded Hawaiians left, there's no such thing as that anymore. (There's barely Hawaiians who have more than 50% Hawaiian blood)
These native people could re-declare their Self-Determination as a nation.
It would then be up to them to run their own affairs.
Check out Mark McMurtrie who has and is doing this for the native Australians. He is making progress there, and is again re-establishing their standing in the Family of Nations at the Law of Nations and International Law in private.
Also, check out David Parker Williams for some overview on all of this.
Both Mark M. and David W. are to leading scholars on this.
Sudden Rush band sounds like an average rap band full of ego for their people and ignorant hate...why don't they get there hands in the Taro fields and discover who their people are like the guy said?
@blowjob6666 they already know who they are its the outside influences that tried to change them and continues to do so with youre ignorance and ego for your people.
In an independent Hawaii, one of the questions is the kind system of government we want. We, the people should choose our system of government along with our leaders. Heres the thing: Evey national wants the triditional Constitutional Monarchy restored. Some want a Republic Government. For me personally, I think I want BOTH. All in one nation. This is one idea we should have:
Parlimentary Demorcracy
AND
Constitutional Monarchy.
Like the European Monarchs of today! But what do YOU want?
Would you even know what "youtube.com" is without American influence? I love the Hawaiian bashing America while he is wearing Oakley shades ha. If you want your land back I understand, America will just take all your luxuries and safety it has given you..
But the thing is I turned out white. And have had many Hawaiian people talk badly of me when my family would visit Hawaii. I would love to move to Hawaii and spread my grandmother's ashes but I am not sure if I can. First of all just trying to get a home there, and second of all, dealing with a hatred toward me for looking white. The whole situation is not cool. I wish I could just find my grandmother's land in Maui, and live there.
@oOHulaGirlOo. It goes to show you that America is a pig! Ever since the overthrow, lots of things were banned and also laws that were racist to the Hawaiian people were enforced. It was just like America's Segregation regime. Which BTW is still enforced. I can feel it around me! So I guess you can say that there is still a racist regime that still exitst. Though not offical. Just like any other racist regime, it NEEDS TO BE OVERTHROWN! (America's presentence in Hawaii)
@DeltaEagle7700 You're still at it? Pretending to be Hawaiian. By the way, the locals in Hawaii ( in general) are the most bigoted people I've ever encountered. So quit pretending to be Hawaiian and quit pretending that locals are open minded people who are getting f'ed by whitey.
@sanfranciscodude. Bradda. I'm not pretending. I AM! Reguardless if I no have Hawaiian blood or not, I am Hawaiian! Much as everyone else who was born here Hawaiian or not. Being a Hawaiian National is not by blood. But by love of country. OUR country, the Nation of Hawaii! Anyone who was born here reguardless of who they are are Nationals of the Nation of Hawaii!!!
Ok the thing is, that I am part Hawaiian. Mostly Hawaiian and Irish. My grandmother was full Hawaiian, lived in Hawaii before it was annexed and made a state and before it was. She moved to America in hope for a better life and ended up living in Florida, poverty stricken. My grandmother taught my mother hula, history, and Hawaiian traditions. And my mother told them to me. I learned hula from my mother for a while, but now learn at a halau.
I have a friend of mine who I worked with in radio several years ago, and he is Hawaiian. He wasn't the type to just come out and tell me about the Hawaiian independence movement, but we got to discussing that, and he and I are on the same page with that subject. I believe in the right of Hawaii to be a nation in it's own right again, because that is exactly what Hawaii is anyway.
@Esty2326. Oh, yes. Sad isn't it? All because of greed, arrogance, and world power. The takeover of Hawaii BTW is the first country the USA has ever invaded. Not to mention, it is a perfect example of how the USA became the world power as it is today.
@DeltaEagle7700 I personally think, it's because back then white folk weren't the wisest and made wrong decisions and now they can't d jack to fix it because most Americans are sitting on the fence and unwilling to say they want land to be returned.
All this and the revolution, the chaps that took it over in the first place, had been watching & reading too many revolution stories.
@Esty2326. Hmm. I guess I could agree with that. I don't know about other white folks in general. But I do know about American white people. To us Hawaiians, white Americans were curel people. When they came here, they wanted a lot of reforms to pretty much support themselfs. They made us banned our culture practices and all. And it was not long as a forced of habit of expanding their American nation, they had eyes for Hawaii and eventually took it without caring for us Hawaiian people.
By the way, I'm going on record and saying that the Sudden Rush guys are absolutely not Hawaiian and they're embarrassing. They're as embarrassing as the people on this video who believe that they're Hawaiian, but are not (Noe Noe Silva). That's god damned phony, embarrassing, and disrespectful to real Hawaiians.
@sanfranciscodude okay you're really mis-informed first of all i'm not a ha'ole, and a ha'ole is someone with "no breath" who has no consideration of what they're talking about, second who told you that when hawaiians are given the land back that we would be deported, no offence but you need to go back and do more research it's not like that, the point of the hawaiian sovereignty act isn't so hawaiians get the land so all MALIHINI (foreigners) get off.
@justaguy8081 If you're the offspring of sugarcane laborers, then you are a foreigner. If you're a true Hawaiian, then I hope you find some justice. Liliuokalani over played her hand. She wasn't a very good head of state.
@sanfranciscodude the point of the hawaiian sovereignty act is so hawaiians get all the land back, establish our own government and when people want to develop land the residents of hawaii has a say in it trust me its not going to be a "whens it's over what do we do with the malihini" scenario, Queen Liliuokalani didn't want the sugar cane workers (nor anyone connected or related for that matter) to leave she just wanted her rights as a queen given back to her.
@justaguy8081 She was the Queen of Hawaii. She had her rights, and exercised them in a rash way. She let her ego get in the way and overplayed her hand against the sugar barons, and they called in a favor. She should have been smarter. I'm not saying it's her fault, but she should have played the hand that she had in wiser fashion. Just because you're the queen of a tiny island nation doesn't mean that you don't have to consider anyone else, especially the people with big money in your country.
@sanfranciscodude You obviously don't get it. The Queen was trying to save her people, but her older brother King Kalakaua was forced into signing the bayonet constitution. That technically gave much of the power to the people wanting to overthrow the government. What would you do if you found a huge number of armed US military here to support the plan to take away your nation? She didn't want bloodshed so she let herself be locked away to save us (if you live in Hawaii) Be thankful!
@isayzrawr123. Thats right! Her Majesty did the right thing! Because if we all had got up arms as She told us not to, most of us would possibly not be here. Although, I possibly would have fought for the Queen and our people if I was born at that time. But She did save us all from death. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!
@justaguy8081 Also, she had her rights taken from her because she wanted the foreigners to leave and they were more powerful than her, but i guess she didn't understand that. So, when you say that she didn't want the foreigners to leave and that she just wanted her rights as queen given back, it's kind of the other way around.
@sanfranciscodude i disagree, the reason why the queen had her rights taken away from her was because they found a weapons cache in her garden and she was locked in 'Iolani palace, it wasn't because the sugar barons had a greater authority over her.
I'm all for Hawaii being sovereign. Not one of the people in this video was pure Hawaiian, or even half Hawaiian in most cases. So who would be getting it if not the people who keep talking about "we", who are not actually part of the "we" they think they are. I was noticing (not on this video) that people hostile to the Akaka Bill were afraid of not being included as being Hawaiian... because they're not. Does anyone know whats up with the non-Hawaiians who think that they're Hawaiian?
@justaguy8081 I'm talking about the people who, for whatever reason, think that they're Hawaiian when they're not. Like the Noenoe Silva lady on this video. I'm probably as Hawaiian as she is. She was talking about it like the land was stolen from her. I guarentee she owns land over there and she's not Hawaiian, so she's kind of talking about herself stealing the land. If you're ethnicly Hawaiian, not just born there, does that sort of thing piss you off? I'm curious.
@justaguy8081 Everyone interviewed on this video is mixed with non Hawaiian blood. Kaleikoa Ka'eo looks the most like he's ethnicly Hawaiian, but even he has something else going on. Even the rapper dudes are talking about how Hawaii needs to be returned to Hawaiians (which I agree), but they look like the offspring of imported Puerto Rican sugar cane laborers. I lived on Kauai for a couple of years and I noticed that there really isn't very many Hawaiians left. Most are kids of cane laborers.
@sanfranciscodude if you understand this then you would know that to hawaiians every single inch, foot, acre of land is sacred, when hawaiians refer to the land as ours we are talking about the land our ancestors walked on planted taro on for many years, even if you aren't full hawaiian that doesn't mean you dont have a reason to fight for the land that your hawaiian roots come from, cm'on i mean so if you aren't FULL hawaiian does that mean that you would give up part of your heritage?
@justaguy8081 It seems like there would be a point in which a person would have to admit that they aren't Hawaiian when they're 90% something else. For instance my great grandmother was Comanche, but I don't tell people that I'm Comanche and that I have more of a right to be in America than someone else. I feel like it would be insulting to real Comanche people. I see people talking about how they've been screwed as Hawaiians when they are obviously not. It seems disrespectful to real Hawaiians.
@sanfranciscodude well... this conversation can go on and on, i have no right to speak representing as all hawaiians its just a matter of opinion whether you think it's right or not, if you are not a supporter i respect your opinion, if you're a supporter mahalo, if you really think that it matters if you're full hawaiian or not then ask some full hawaiians share your opinions we're all just one big ohana in the end right?
@justaguy8081. No doubt! No matter who we are reguradless of Hawaiian blood or not, and we choose to become citizens of the Hawaiian nation, we are nationals of the Kingdom of Hawaii!
@justaguy8081 Quean Liliuokalani wanted the sugar cane barons, and all of those connected to them, out of Hawaii. Filipinos, Puerto Ricans, Japanese, Portuguese. The version of Hawaii that you know wouldn't exist. How do you go back that time and include your family in a Liliuokalani Hawaii. If you have Filipino, Puerto Rican, Japanese, Potuguese, or anything else in you, then you're fighting for your own deportation because you're a Haole. And you've probably been in Hawaii for generations.
@sanfranciscodude That would actually pose a major problem as far as Hawaiian sovereignty goes. Hawaii has a population of about 1.3 million, the overwhelming majority Asian or white Americans.. Many have been in Hawaii for 3 or 4 generations. Sadly, the current population of Native Hawaiians is about 5 - 10%, and few of those are 100% Native Hawaiian. So I'm not really sure who exactly would get the land...
@jwh30385 Exactly. It seems like most of the people backing the sovereignity movement are kinda fighting for they're own deportation, since most of them aren't really Hawaiian. Seems like a can of worms a person wouldn't want to open unless they really were native Hawaiian. One of those "be careful what you wish for" situations.
@sanfranciscodude. Seems like you are saying that an independent Hawaii means that people who are NOT of Hawaiian ancestory are going to be kicked out and cannot live here. Why would we do that? We never did kick people off our land. And we never will in an independent Hawaii.
@DeltaEagle7700 Also, not trying to offend you, but you're not Hawaiian. I saw your video on your page. That's what I'm trying to get at. It's not your land. Your family was imported to work the cane fields. Are you willing to leave to bring about justice in the name of REAL Hawaiians?
@sanfranciscodude what does it matter? True hawaiians don't need to be in blood. They just need the heart to share the aloha spirit to others they meet.
@isayzrawr123 I think that it matters if you're truly Hawaiian or not. People who want to pretend that they're Hawaiian, always say that it doesn't matter. I can't just claim to be Samoan because I want to, but, in Hawaii, people pull "I'm Hawaiian" shit all of the time. A bunch of cane whacker spawn running around being embarrassingly racist. It's a pretty lame scene over there. A bunch of phonies pretending to be something that they're not. I feel bad for the real Hawaiians.
@sanfranciscodude Yep. But most of the people backing the sovereignty movement are Native Hawaiians, or have a fairly large percentage of Native Hawaiian blood. It's not a huge movement (Texas and Alaska have larger sovereignty movements), but I'd say out of all the states, they have the best claim at least.
@Hawnguy100 DONT FORGET THE FACT THAT HAWAIIANS NEVER HAD A DISEASE TILL THE WHITE MAN CAME......NOW ALMOST ALL HAWAIIANS HAVE SOME TYPE OF DISEASE....i should know im one of them......i just found out i have polycystic kidney disease........fckin haolis......they said it passes down in generation......wanna know something funny....my kanaka blood reigns from high priests of oahu....kakalia ohana....i wouldnt doubt thats the truth sense my family magically was targeted to die from the beginning.
@searider92 so true, but you know whats really funny? most malihini or ha'ole say that hawaii would be in the dirts were it not for America, but, hawaii survived hundreds of years without the US and the hawaiian culture is practically depleted ever since the overthrow, ironic isn't it? hawaiians had no health problems but ever since the introductions of alien species and what-not, mosquitoes, is one of the biggest problem.
@justaguy8081 yesser....i wouldnt doubt it that the government planned on killing us off with those diseases so they can claim vaccines......SWINE FLU :|
@searider92 yes its a true headache when you think about it, people that dont think kindly of hawaii because of our mentality are misinformed, this video doesn't show it all, but, it would just cause more chaos to handle lol...
If Hawaii never got taken over in 1893 then in World War 2 the Japanies were going to take over Hawaii. So whats the point? If us Americans leave you Hawaiians. We will take our military and each of our hi-tech technology with us. If you guys say you don't need us. Then we will let the communist take over. Ex: North Korea. Good Luck fighting them.
@superstarboi101. The point is is that no matter what country took or takes us over, America is no difference! Its still colonialism! And it fact, it still is colonialism!
And why would North Korea or any country take us over if America leaves? For what?
@superstarboi101. Yet they would spent all that time and little money that they have to travel 4000 miles to take over an peaceful nation when they could have attacked South Korea. (Though I hope not)
@superstarboi101 no china is goin to do that....hawaii is already making peace talks with china while america is trying to start a war...so it would most likely be CHINA who sets us free
@superstarboi101 hahahah little do you know that they (non-americans) agree on our release to freedom.......i dont think they would try to over take us more then just us our harbor to scout you bitches......hahahaha.....if america was smart they would atleast give back all the islands and RENT OUT PEARL HARBOR......like what they do to you at your house
@Moralvorstellung are you mentally distorted? Okay first of all we hawaiians are not salvages, (yeah i am hawaiian WAT U GOIN DO) Surprisingly we're all normal people who farm and work (hows that surprising isn't it ha'ole) hawaii was taken and will be returned ever heard of our motto "ua mau ke 'ea o ka 'aina i ka pono"
@Moralvorstellung wtf i'm just asking but why do you hate Hawaiians? is it because you're ha'ole and you were mistreated by the locals (by the way do you know what a moke is) Hawaii has some of the most laid back people in the world you're just another racist that cares about no one but himself.
@justaguy8081 i answered this guy from germany in his own language.he is a piece of shit hating everything and everybody. a loser . dont worry about him. but worry about all of them. as i do. these guys a developing backwards in their way of thinking and their values. when the revolution comes i will fight on your side. . be safe
@justaguy8081 I heard mixed stories about the Hawaiians, that they are racist against whites, and that they are laid back. What do you think Cause I'm moving there as a white man from Washington state. Should I buy a gun asap when I get there?
I'm sorry but if any of you people actually lived in Hawaii, you would know is all the Hawaiians do is complain about the way they live. They never bother to actually study in school or get high paying jobs. My family isn't Hawaiian or white but we've been there for more than a hundred years and we get along just fine. They just want free stuff. It was very wrong to take the lands from their ancestors, but it was a crime committed against people who no longer exist, by people who no longer exist.
Skullking489 1 month ago
@Skullking489 I'm not hawaiian nor am I white like you my family immagrated to this country seeking opprotunity because we had no where else to go. The King, invited us to come and make a new life for us in Hawaii. Is this how you repay the Hawaiians? You betray God, your county, and your fellow man with such words. You betray yourself and bring shame to your family. Without Hawaiians my family would have starved or have been murdered by the Spanish had we stayed in the Filippines.
kiele21 3 weeks ago 4
@kiele21 It wasn't the Hawaiians who defended Hawaii and saved the rest of the Pacific from the Japanese. It was the United States. The Japanese would have done the same in Hawaii as they did to every other nation the conquered, slaughter the resistance, slaughter the old, slaughter the young, and then whoever still standing gets to be worked or starved to death. It's almost guaranteed that my grandparents would have died and therefore I owe my existence to the USA.
Skullking489 3 weeks ago
@Skullking489 Yes that is true enough, but where would you be if had not your grandparents been able to immigrat in the first place. Answer that??? You poor stupid American loveing Idiot. How selfish and naive you are... The USA was at fault for having had put us in harms way to begin with, had they not taken over and militarized the place.
kiele21 3 weeks ago
@kiele21 If you read a history book on WWII you would know the Japanese wanted total domination of the Pacific. Hawaii is actually the most strategic military location in all of the Pacific. It would have been the Japanese's first target had it not been for the oil supply from America. They only attacked when we cut it off for their brutal war crimes. Also don't insult me for being proud of the thousands of American soldiers who fought in the Pacific. Which includes members of my family.
Skullking489 3 weeks ago
@Skullking489 Oh please dont lecture me on WWII. I had family who fought on both sides of the war. You wanna talk about war crimes? Even after My grand uncles joined th american side they still decided to lock us up in internment camps. How can you be so ignorant??? They dont like us, they never have. If YOU OPENED up a history book you would know America has a long disgusting history of ethnic genocide, Imperialism, and Empire building that continues today. You've been brainwashed
kiele21 3 weeks ago
@kiele21 that happened to many Japanese Americans because the American officials believed they may still be loyal to Japan. It was wrong and America paid reparations. But I don't understand how this can be even compared to Japans war crimes. America had internment camps, japan had death camps. It is actually known as the Asian holocaust. Visit the Wikipedia page on Japanese War Crimes, and then compare it to American Internment camps. If you still find them to be related then you are blind.
Skullking489 3 weeks ago
@Skullking489. What difference would it make if Japan did take over Hawaii? It does not make America any better! America was and still is just as vile. Futhermore, what purpose would Japan have with us? Hawaii and Japan had strong diplomatic and personal relations with each other! Futhermore, they were one of the people who protested the American intervention of 1893.
UniteHawaii 3 weeks ago
@UniteHawaii I don't think you quite understand, when the Imperial Japanese invaded a country they didn't just kill those who stood against them, they begin ethnic cleansing. They were the Nazi's of the Pacific; believing themselves to be superior to all races and invincible in battle. There would have been hardly any survivors of a Japanese occupation.I don't think America is absolutely perfect, but America did save Hawaii from slaughter.Just visit the Japanese War Crimes page in Wikipedia.
Skullking489 3 weeks ago
@Skullking489.
UniteHawaii 3 weeks ago
@UniteHawaiiThe overthrow was done by non Hawaiian locals who were afraid of an uprising. the only time people died was during the the four day revolution of 1895. Hardly anyone died and if they went to prison it was only for a short time. They then wanted to be annexed into the US. I don't know where you get the idea that the US government was killing people. Also, it is not what the Japanese "might" have done, it's what they did. The US never beheaded, starved, or worked anyone to death.
Skullking489 3 weeks ago
@Skullking489.

UniteHawaii 8 months ago
@UniteHawaii 1. Who would have protected you in WWII? Japan would have taken you out to get military on the islands. 2. The freedom America provides to it's citizens ( like the right for ungrateful Hawaiians to protest against the American Government) 3. The American way of living. I'm sure you would rather live a more "natural" Hawaiian lifestyle in your lavarock shack on the beach. (Drinking water, police, fire, technology, housing, healthcare providers ect...)
sundevil161 8 months ago
@sundevil161. Oh please! We're one of the first democratic constitutional monarchy's in the world. The people of Hawaii did have freedom! Not to mention women had the right to vote before the United States did. Japan would have not invaded us. Futhermore, they attacked the U.S. fleet at Peral Harbor, not Hawaii itself! Japan was actually going to become a part of Hawaii. Not by war, but by peaceful treaty between the Emperor and His Majesty the King.
UniteHawaii 8 months ago
@sundevil161 Dumb haole you clearly don't know Hawai'i or should i say "Amercan History" since your claiming Hawaii is part of the US. Japan never had plans to invade or take over Hawaii they bombed the US navy ships docked here. But i guess a mainlander like you wouldn't know about that, since the US doesn't teach history about the so called "50'th state" huh (:
hawaiian96chence 6 months ago
@hawaiian96chence I stated that they would have walked all over Hawaii to get their military in the central Pacific. Japan would have used Hawaii to organize attacks on the U.S mainland. It's common logic. Japan never wanted to attack Hawaiians (you are right, and I didn't state that they wanted to either..), but they would have to take control of the Hawaiian shores. Since the U.S had taken over Hawaii previously, Japan just wanted to hurt the U.S Pacific fleet to prevent military interference.
sundevil161 6 months ago
@sundevil161 Yes yes that whole paragraph was real nice and all but it's all full of "IF's AND's & BUT's" in other words not facts. That coulda happened but it didn't homie. Well guess what they didn't take over Hawai'i's shores did they. And they were more focused on conquering asia anyways. That was thier first priority.
hawaiian96chence 6 months ago

Yes, it’s too bad Imperil Japan didn’t win the war and liberate Hawaii. They would have treated Hawaiians with the same love and compassion as the Chinese, Indonesians, Koreans and Filipinos when they liberated their land. What a shame indeed.

Wrong, what racially divided Hawaii was the Hawaiians inability to fight for their land and their abandonment of their culture. It has left them with a inferiority complex which they try to compensate for with racism and aggression. This has spread to the locals that run around claiming they too are Hawaiian.

That's you as well as me!

The govt can only be as good or bad as it's ppl get involved and change
the way it runs!

As Micelangelo said when he was 90 "Ancoro Imparo" ("I am still learning") May we never stop, for with learning comes understanding and with understanding there will be peace.
ndimattia 11 months ago
So obviously the Polynesian Cultural Center is an abomination and a tourist trap, but it does sell itself as educational. Can the Hawaiians come up with a competing EDUCATIONAL model that would teach the truth. Give people an understanding of who you are, what happened, and teach them about your culture. Then they would be more likely to help your cause. Y should Brigham Young make money exploiting your story?! U'd hv 2 charge b/c of expenses, but chg less than them n u put m out of business
ndimattia 11 months ago
Would The University of Hawaii have a history department that could publish your stories? Unfortunately most historians have treated the history everywhere as a series of wars. The world could use a few more female historians in my opinion.
I'd be interested in learning more about it.
ndimattia 11 months ago
so, now, what would you suggest be done to help. Since you are still living under the laws of the United States you should start to work within their framework to create a better future. If not a charitable organization, perhaps a casino? I'm really not trying to be racist or fresh. The way I see the reality is the native people need money because the world won't go backwards to the way it was before. Get the money, get your land back, get the power and control back. it's that simple.
ndimattia 11 months ago
@hawnguy 100 I never said America was perfect. Nor did I say America did everything right or fairly. I said one can't undo the past. Therefore, we (the humans, that is, all of us) should work peaceably to create a better future for our (yours and mine) children.

@Hawnguy 100 so, really, if you don't hate, why are you angry with me?
ndimattia 11 months ago
@Hawnguy 100 Yes it is about Hawaii, I see a film where people are saying they hate America, And I'm saying if you don't like it work to change it, instead of hating! The people responsible for taking Hawaii have long since died. Get your own into the government there and make things better! I was abbreviating the late king's name as there are so few characters allowed to a post. I haven't seen any anti Hawn anything I didn't know there was such a thing.
ndimattia 11 months ago
Actually, since I'm female we probably have quite different reproductive systems other than that we both have lungs, intestines, bladder, muscle, bones, etc etc etc.yes, exactly alike HUMAN. the point is You are blaming Europeans for a Human failing! The color of your skin makes no difference to how you teach your children. Either you teach love and acceptance or hate and bigotry. You teach them to blame others for their problems or to work to make things better. We each chose everyday.
ndimattia 11 months ago
@Hawnguy100 one more thing if you study history, our people, the human ones, have been brutal to each other, the earth, other species, and more recently outer space since we figured out how to walk upright. including the brutality , rape and racism carried out against the native peoples of Scotland Ireland and England by invading tribes from Germany, Scandinavia, and the France. Let's hope humans can all start to teach our children peace, so we don't have to keep making the same mistakes.
ndimattia 11 months ago
@Hawnguy100 Who mentioned race? Not me. Personally I don't believe in race. Each of us is of one race, Human! If i were skinned next to you we would look alike, we would both have the same organs (apart from reproductive) and it would be just as painful for us both! What I look like does not define who I am, any more than you.

Most likely most of the people you are hating have no idea what happened. Don't hate me teach me!

SaveChinaTiger 1 year ago
@SaveChinaTiger Well, actually, people from Hawaii are called 'Locals.' (People w/ none Hawaiian blood at all)
I'm Hawaiian myself... by blood and yeah I do get irritated when people call themselves Hawaiian because they were born in Hawaii. Being born in place, doesn't necessarily mean you're that.
I define my Hawaiians like this;
Locals - Non-Hawaiian people born in Hawaii
Hawaiian - People of the Hawaiian Blood.
This is my opinion, cause Hawaiian people are actually extinct.
tOki3y0xpoP 11 months ago
@SaveChinaTiger oh and when I said extinct... I meant there's no more Full Blooded Hawaiians left, there's no such thing as that anymore. (There's barely Hawaiians who have more than 50% Hawaiian blood)
But, hey, we all have our opinions.
tOki3y0xpoP 11 months ago
These native people could re-declare their Self-Determination as a nation.
It would then be up to them to run their own affairs.
Check out Mark McMurtrie who has and is doing this for the native Australians. He is making progress there, and is again re-establishing their standing in the Family of Nations at the Law of Nations and International Law in private.
Also, check out David Parker Williams for some overview on all of this.
Both Mark M. and David W. are to leading scholars on this.

But the thing is I turned out white. And have had many Hawaiian people talk badly of me when my family would visit Hawaii. I would love to move to Hawaii and spread my grandmother's ashes but I am not sure if I can.

DeltaEagle7700 1 year ago
@DeltaEagle7700 You're still at it? Pretending to be Hawaiian. By the way, the locals in Hawaii ( in general) are the most bigoted people I've ever encountered. So quit pretending to be Hawaiian and quit pretending that locals are open minded people who are getting f'ed by whitey.

@sanfranciscodude. Bradda. I'm not pretending. I AM! Reguardless if I no have Hawaiian blood or not, I am Hawaiian! Much as everyone else who was born here Hawaiian or not. DeltaEagle7700 1 year ago

All of this, is because of 3 white couples, missionaries who thought the 'Word of God' was the destruction of the Native Hawaiian culture.
Esty2326 1 year ago
@Esty2326. Oh, yes. Sad isn't it? All because of greed, arrogance, and world power. The takeover of Hawaii BTW is the first country the USA has ever invaded. Not to mention, it is a perfect example of how the USA became the world power as it is today.
DeltaEagle7700 1 year ago
@DeltaEagle7700 I personally think, it's because back then white folk weren't the wisest and made wrong decisions and now they can't d jack to fix it because most Americans are sitting on the fence and unwilling to say they want land to be returned.
All this and the revolution, the chaps that took it over in the first place, had been watching & reading too many revolution stories.
Esty2326 1 year ago
@Esty2326.
DeltaEagle7700 1 year ago
By the way, I'm going on record and saying that the Sudden Rush guys are absolutely not Hawaiian and they're embarrassing. They're as embarrassing as the people on this video who believe that they're Hawaiian, but are not (Noe Noe Silva). That's god damned phony, embarrassing, and disrespectful to real Hawaiians.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude okay you're really mis-informed first of all i'm not a ha'ole, and a ha'ole is someone with "no breath" who has no consideration of what they're talking about, second who told you that when hawaiians are given the land back that we would be deported, no offence but you need to go back and do more research it's not like that, the point of the hawaiian sovereignty act isn't so hawaiians get the land so all MALIHINI (foreigners) get off.
justaguy8081 1 year ago
@justaguy8081 If you're the offspring of sugarcane laborers, then you are a foreigner. If you're a true Hawaiian, then I hope you find some justice. Liliuokalani over played her hand. She wasn't a very good head of state.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude the point of the hawaiian sovereignty act is so hawaiians get all the land back, establish our own government and when people want to develop land the residents of hawaii has a say in it trust me its not going to be a "whens it's over what do we do with the malihini" scenario, Queen Liliuokalani didn't want the sugar cane workers (nor anyone connected or related for that matter) to leave she just wanted her rights as a queen given back to her.
justaguy8081 1 year ago
@justaguy8081 She was the Queen of Hawaii. She had her rights, and exercised them in a rash way. She let her ego get in the way and overplayed her hand against the sugar barons, and they called in a favor. She should have been smarter. I'm not saying it's her fault, but she should have played the hand that she had in wiser fashion. Just because you're the queen of a tiny island nation doesn't mean that you don't have to consider anyone else, especially the people with big money in your country.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude You obviously don't get it. The Queen was trying to save her people, but her older brother King Kalakaua was forced into signing the bayonet constitution. That technically gave much of the power to the people wanting to overthrow the government. What would you do if you found a huge number of armed US military here to support the plan to take away your nation? She didn't want bloodshed so she let herself be locked away to save us (if you live in Hawaii) Be thankful!
isayzrawr123 1 year ago
@isayzrawr123. Thats right! Her Majesty did the right thing! Because if we all had got up arms as She told us not to, most of us would possibly not be here. Although, I possibly would have fought for the Queen and our people if I was born at that time. But She did save us all from death. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!
DeltaEagle7700 1 year ago
@justaguy8081 Also, she had her rights taken from her because she wanted the foreigners to leave and they were more powerful than her, but i guess she didn't understand that. So, when you say that she didn't want the foreigners to leave and that she just wanted her rights as queen given back, it's kind of the other way around.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago

Does anyone know whats up with the non-Hawaiians who think that they're Hawaiian?
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude the "we" you're referring to is everyone that is encouraging the hawaiian sovereignty act right?
justaguy8081 1 year ago
@justaguy8081 I'm talking about the people who, for whatever reason, think that they're Hawaiian when they're not. Like the Noenoe Silva lady on this video. I'm probably as Hawaiian as she is. She was talking about it like the land was stolen from her. I guarentee she owns land over there and she's not Hawaiian, so she's kind of talking about herself stealing the land. If you're ethnicly Hawaiian, not just born there, does that sort of thing piss you off? I'm curious.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@justaguy8081 Everyone interviewed on this video is mixed with non Hawaiian blood. Kaleikoa Ka'eo looks the most like he's ethnicly Hawaiian, but even he has something else going on. Even the rapper dudes are talking about how Hawaii needs to be returned to Hawaiians (which I agree), but they look like the offspring of imported Puerto Rican sugar cane laborers. I lived on Kauai for a couple of years and I noticed that there really isn't very many Hawaiians left. Most are kids of cane laborers.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude if you understand this then you would know that to hawaiians every single inch, foot, acre of land is sacred, when hawaiians refer to the land as ours we are talking about the land our ancestors walked on planted taro on for many years, even if you aren't full hawaiian that doesn't mean you dont have a reason to fight for the land that your hawaiian roots come from, cm'on i mean so if you aren't FULL hawaiian does that mean that you would give up part of your heritage?
justaguy8081 1 year ago
@justaguy8081 It seems like there would be a point in which a person would have to admit that they aren't Hawaiian when they're 90% something else. For instance my great grandmother was Comanche, but I don't tell people that I'm Comanche and that I have more of a right to be in America than someone else. I feel like it would be insulting to real Comanche people. I see people talking about how they've been screwed as Hawaiians when they are obviously not. It seems disrespectful to real Hawaiians.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude well... this conversation can go on and on, i have no right to speak representing as all hawaiians its just a matter of opinion whether you think it's right or not, if you are not a supporter i respect your opinion, if you're a supporter mahalo, if you really think that it matters if you're full hawaiian or not then ask some full hawaiians share your opinions we're all just one big ohana in the end right?
justaguy8081 1 year ago
@justaguy8081. No doubt! No matter who we are reguradless of Hawaiian blood or not, and we choose to become citizens of the Hawaiian nation, we are nationals of the Kingdom of Hawaii!
DeltaEagle7700 1 year ago
@justaguy8081 Quean Liliuokalani wanted the sugar cane barons, and all of those connected to them, out of Hawaii. Filipinos, Puerto Ricans, Japanese, Portuguese. The version of Hawaii that you know wouldn't exist. How do you go back that time and include your family in a Liliuokalani Hawaii. If you have Filipino, Puerto Rican, Japanese, Potuguese, or anything else in you, then you're fighting for your own deportation because you're a Haole. And you've probably been in Hawaii for generations.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude That would actually pose a major problem as far as Hawaiian sovereignty goes. Hawaii has a population of about 1.3 million, the overwhelming majority Asian or white Americans.. Many have been in Hawaii for 3 or 4 generations. Sadly, the current population of Native Hawaiians is about 5 - 10%, and few of those are 100% Native Hawaiian. So I'm not really sure who exactly would get the land...
jwh30385 1 year ago
@jwh30385 Exactly. It seems like most of the people backing the sovereignity movement are kinda fighting for they're own deportation, since most of them aren't really Hawaiian. Seems like a can of worms a person wouldn't want to open unless they really were native Hawaiian. One of those "be careful what you wish for" situations.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude. Seems like you are saying that an independent Hawaii means that people who are NOT of Hawaiian ancestory are going to be kicked out and cannot live here. Why would we do that? We never did kick people off our land. And we never will in an independent Hawaii.
DeltaEagle7700 1 year ago
@DeltaEagle7700 If you're a real Hawaiian by blood, then you have nothing to worry about in an independant Hawaii, but are you?
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@DeltaEagle7700 Queen Liliuokalani absolutely tried to kick you out (unless you're real Hawaiian) along with the sugar cane barons.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@DeltaEagle7700 Also, not trying to offend you, but you're not Hawaiian. I saw your video on your page. That's what I'm trying to get at. It's not your land. Your family was imported to work the cane fields. Are you willing to leave to bring about justice in the name of REAL Hawaiians?
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude. Who are you to say that I am not Hawaiian?! I'm not going to get into it! But how racist!
And how dare you say that of our Queen! She, or nobody else kick people off our aina!!!
DeltaEagle7700 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude what does it matter? True hawaiians don't need to be in blood. They just need the heart to share the aloha spirit to others they meet.
isayzrawr123 1 year ago
@isayzrawr123 I think that it matters if you're truly Hawaiian or not. People who want to pretend that they're Hawaiian, always say that it doesn't matter. I can't just claim to be Samoan because I want to, but, in Hawaii, people pull "I'm Hawaiian" shit all of the time. A bunch of cane whacker spawn running around being embarrassingly racist. It's a pretty lame scene over there. A bunch of phonies pretending to be something that they're not. I feel bad for the real Hawaiians.
sanfranciscodude 1 year ago
@sanfranciscodude Yep. But most of the people backing the sovereignty movement are Native Hawaiians, or have a fairly large percentage of Native Hawaiian blood. It's not a huge movement (Texas and Alaska have larger sovereignty movements), but I'd say out of all the states, they have the best claim at least.

@Moralvorstellung wtf i'm just asking but why do you hate Hawaiians? is it because you're ha'ole and you were mistreated by the locals (by the way do you know what a moke is) Hawaii has some of the most laid back people in the world you're just another racist that cares about no one but himself.

@justaguy8081 I heard mixed stories about the Hawaiians, that they are racist against whites, and that they are laid back. What do you think Cause I'm moving there as a white man from Washington state. Should I buy a gun asap when I get there?
