I've played both Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun, and I beat both of them. I own Ikaruga for the GameCube and I managed to beat that, and I found Radiant Silvergun at Otakon (an anime convention) last year and I managed to beat that game there.

D'oh oops, last comment was supposed to be towards SimonCoulthard. Anyway, I honestly find this boss far easier than Ikaruga's last boss, the only real difficult part is the last three sets of shots. The middle segment took me two tries to get down, and the sets of 3 waves of crystals after that the author's only mistake was not hanging in the corner of the screen where the bullets are easier to dodge.

Eh, I found Ikaruga's final boss to be a lot harder due to the fact that those are so easy to dodge.

This game is much harder than Ikaruga I thought. It's defintely better, IMO.

Also, nice weapon level there. It's pretty high. I can usually only get my weapon up to five rear shots.

Because I beg to differ that Radiant Silvergun is not the best shooter of all time. Yeah, it's one of the best, but I found other better shmups than this one.
