  • Very informative. And very funny too. Rinpoche has such an incredible sense of humour. This makes practice fun.

  • Prostration is excellent method to purify our karma and amass a great amount of merit to transform our mind as preliminary for Tantric practice.

  • I think Buddha does not need our prostration to them. we do it so that our ego come down through practise prostration, when we less ego, less problems arises from anger, hatred, jealousy and so on due to the ego, due to the self-cherishing mind. i guess.

  • That's funny that the fatter you are, the more merits you create. I think it is more the effort you need to prostrate for fat people that creates more merit.

  • Thank you so much Rinpoche for correcting an error in my practice. We wish you a long, healthy and prosperous life. May all of your activities be free from obstacles.

  • can explain the part, inner, outer, secret prostration? I don't seem to find answer from this video.

  • awgog: Let me try...outer prostration is what Rinpoche is teaching in this video, while inner prostration should be developing humility and perseverance and secret prostration is when we overcome the self-cherishing mind

  • Wow, i didnt know that while we are travelling, we still can do prostration and offerings.....Next time, when i'm travel, will definitely wear a buddha pendant, and do prostration.....Thank for sharing this information, really helps me alot......

  • I have read from somewhere that all of Tsem Tulku Rinpoches previous reincarnations is famous for teaching Dharma. It is not surprising at all what this current reincarnation is doing.

  • The lama looks hot, so tall and hansome. like a model or a film star. Has he done any professional modelling work before he looks like he could pull it off.

  • Hahaha....Sotongguy123, get a fabulous body is yes, but make sure when do prostration your motivation is not cause of getting good body.......Btw, for Ego and Pride this is all depends on yourself....prostration is just a part of training...but the most important thing is how you practise, how you transform and also how you let go, even a person who has done 100K prostration, but the mind and attitude still the same, also no used. Remember, Motivation and your mind is very important here..Cheers

  • i never thought spirituality can be so much FUN and Rinpoche's teachings makes so much sense! I've always been told to pray when I'm down, but I really don't know who I'm really praying to if I do pray at all!?! with Rinpoche's teachings, I feel empowered me to be able to do something, it's not some mystical thing out there really makes a lot of sense. I

  • Its very near to Bandar Utama and Aman Suria, check out the map in Kechara House(dot)com in contact section. Then you will be able to locate. Easy to find. 

  • Wow, if we completed 100,000 times of prostrations we can actually conquer our Ego and Pride? I think we can get fabulous body like Rinpoche on the video.

  • Do you know how to do prostration retreat? I think we will have to do it daily consistently and not breaking it. And there are some do and donts for retreats rite? Please enlighten me on this, anyone. Thank you

  • I like Tsem Rinpoches teachings esp on this, so modern and funny. Hilarious and also informative at the same time. I cant wait for more uploads of Tsem Rinpoche.

  • The center that Tsem Rinpoche giving this teaching is very nice as shown in this video is very nice. I feel comfortable with it and would like to visit this center one day. Is there a map to guide me to the center? Thank you.

  • Things that we thought is pretty simple but actually it has a lot of meaning behind it. Thank you Rinpoche for showing this 

  • Wow, now I know the importance of prostrations and also why pilgrims do that on their way. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche rocks!

  • Ya lo, arent we fortunate to have Tsem Rimpoche to post the teaching on youtube to share after the class?

Even Sickness, Purification and to conquer ego are only a few of the benifit of doing prostration? This is really cool, I really want to start my prostration retreat now.

  • Wow, I just realise there is 3 form of prostration, the short, medium and full.

I still remember I went to a outdoor teaching before, I wanted to prostrate, but there are some muds in front so i can't do any prostration, now I know that I can do a short one if there is more chances to go for a outdoor teaching.

  • I'm glad I'm slightly on the heavy side so when I prostrate I get more merit by the virtue of my many more atoms touching the floor .

  • True, I have made some friends simply by wearing a Buddha pendant (6:03). That's how conversations into Buddhism get started. Another method of Rinpoche to spread Dharma.

  • "Prostration is in the heart!" I believe in that! Cool!

  • How many atoms under your body is the number of merit you will get from each full length prostration. Wow, that's so measurable. Sure inspires me to do more full length prostrations. Rinpoche explained that prostrations purifies the negative karma of the mind so that our mind will become clear and alert and able to receive Dharma quickly. I am definitely more motivated to do more prostration with this understanding even though I know my body is going to ache like crazy...ouch!

  • There's a very good point in this video, When we travel, we still can do prostration, How? Answer--Prostrate to the buddha pendant you wear. It's good, i do it everytime i travel, i will bring my Setrap/ Tsongkhapa Tsa Tsa, and Incense, so tht i can do prostration and also do incense offering. Well, dont be lazy, do it everyday....Do visit our kechara paradise outlets to look for nice tsa tsa or a nice buddha pendant.....start today and dont wait......Cheers.....Kechara(dot)com

  • DID YOU KNOW?

All Dharma practitioners need to complete 100,00 prostrations one of their main preliminary practices. The purpose is to purify their negative karma and collect merits prior to receiving higher Tantric initiations.

HOWEVER, those who work for the Dharma collect even greater merit, especially those who serve the Guru directly as Rinpoche teaches in his book "Gurus For Hire, Enlightenment for Sale!" Isn't that neat??

  • it may sound funny that the heavier the person the more merits he or she collects, but since prostration is about showing effort and dedication, heavier people will definetly need more effort in order to perform them. this is the real logic behind it. neonlama(dot)com

  • there are many benefits to doing prostration. You can get a nicer body by doing enough prostrations as it is very good exercise for the body. It also helps to purify all the negative karma of the mind and body so that Dharma goes in quicker and easier. This is why doing prostration retreat is one of the most beneficial practices there is. neonlama(dot)com

  • what are you doing with your hands at the end and why?

  • it is to symbolize extreme respect to the person or object that you are prostrating to. I like prostrations. they help me to burn fat. everyone should do it too especially young people if they do not have any joint problems.

  • Can I do prostration retreats in my home choosing my yidam to be vajrayogini?

  • oh good. I´m in Brazil and I´m a budhist and my guru is Lama Gangchen rinpotche. I like the style of this lama. Very glad and with humor we understand a lot of thinks. My great Lma is like this...thank´s for hte teachings.

    regards

    Egberto Nogueira
