The story how I perceive it: Two humans are trying to take over the Land of Dreams, and they built Nightmare City to test the abilities of certain humans, but the original admin , came back, and started ordering the slaughter of said humans to keep these two scientists from getting their hands on the Land of Dreams's power. And thus a massive AI war broke out, and Savior kills the corrupted admin, obliterating the city (and presumably the program itself, based on the ending) in the process.

@GamerzHideaway As I said, this is my interpretation of the story of Nightmare City. It's open to anyone's imagination what the story is. This just happens to make the most sense to me.
