you really need to listen to the song a little bit more the song rapture is about two people who got together had a child out of wedlock, she snapped, killed the baby because she thought god told her to. he blamed god and all throughout the song and at the end forgave the woman and went back to god.

not religious the song rapture is about a woman who killed her baby because she believed god told her to. True story. if anything they resent religion
@petathleticclub i respectfully disagree. i don't think they resent religion to the extent that i believe you think they do. i think that they don't think that people should be so self absorbed in religion. In this song, he sings about how the other person thinks god is more important than him, same basic concept for rapture.
@tyfighter18 Accualy This Song Is About Verbal Abuse, And The Abuser Is A Devout Christian, To Everyone Else, But The Abused. Listen To The Words. "and The Things That You'd say To Me, When They Burned Me Then, They Still Seer Today"
You're crazy, I agree in your taste in FTM, but FTM in concert is one of the best performances you'll ever have the pleasure of seeing. I've yet to see Hurt in concert, but I've no doubt that FTM has more energy.
So L. Wince is J. Loren?? Jeez, like I kind of suspected that, but I was not sure....
I have loved them since their '06 release of Vol I, loved them even more for VOl II, loved them even more (more) when I saw them in concert in Dec. 4, and that some of their songs are quite interesting. Like House Carpenter, are they playing with the whole Jesus was suposudly(sp) a house carpenter before he started preaching?? Anybody know what the song means please feel free to reply to me.
I'm not sure if 'House Carpenter' is about Jesus. I have heard differing opinions. I heard it was a 16th century Scottish ballad\poem called "The Daemon Lover". Nickel Creek, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lang, Natalie Merchant, and others have all done versions as well. If you search YouTube for 'House Carpenter' you will get many different artist's renditions. But of Course HURT's is the best! lol
If you want to know the meaning, try Songmeanings(dot)net
dude...when i waz talking to J. Loren at his concert in illinois he said it was about losing a loved one like a wife and then marrying a person that you don't care about and ruining that person's life with you because they are not loved cuz u r stilll sad from ur loved 1 dying...it may not be the wife thing but thats just an example.
apparently uve never been to a concert with a not so famous band cuz if u wanna talk to the band...u can. so fuck u man. and fyi...my aunt their so photograpgher...go fuck yur self dude
If you are referring to Hurt Dan, J Loren soley wrote all of their stuff except for 10 Ton Brick and that was written by J Loren, Josh Ansley (bass) and Paul Spatola (guitar)
No other band I have seen can compare to their performance live, they are one of those bands that is really good both on the album and live!!!!!!!! Rock On HURT fans!!!!!!!!
Fair to midland songs- did u mean reccomendations? the whole fables from a mayfly album is amazing and dance of the manatee is most popular but not nesicsarily the best
I actualy have listined to some of their wongs, in one of them, I do not remember the title, I thought that it had random screaming. It was a nice slow song, and then all of a sudden 'ahh' that made me not like that song. But I did love Dance of the Manatee.
i would say the best is probably Kyla Cries Cologne or Tall Tales Taste Like Sour Grapes... if ur looking for something powerful instead of amazing, like, listen to Say When it's a great song
i frickin LOVE fair to midland, i saw 'em live with FlyingShoe, it was amazing, yea fables pwns, and inter.funda.stifle is amazing too, but not as good as their new stuff

Religion is like a medicine. Helpful in small increments but destructive in large doses.
I have seen many people do many crazy things in the name of a god they can't prove exists. I personally am non religous.

@devincloudtv No, FAITH is like a medicine, Religion is like a poison that poses as a medicine.
