Not bad but pointing the end of the thumb tip directly at the spectator hides it well also. Just point BOTH thumb ends at the spectator.

Also, it's flesh color enough people, it does not have to match exactly.

I was about to write something very similar to your post. :) I think pointing the ends of your thumbs is much more effective, because that way the audience doesn't start to think about why the performer didn't show one of his thumbs. So in my opinion showing your thumb tips directly in front of the spectator(s) is much more stunning to the audience at this trick.

cool trick BUT terrible presentation. The whole magic of the thumbtip is lost by keeping it hidden. Movements are a little awkward and shady. With this type of magic your movements need to be slow and deliberate. Someone experienced with the use of a thumbtip can make everything look natural, flow together, and show both hands relatively freely. I'd rate this presentation a 5 out of ten, while the trick was performed and all the moves were accomplished the overall effect was not magical.

Great technique. I like a lot of the subtle misdirection that you use, for example packing the silk in again with the forefinger after you've already stolen the thumb tip. Only one weak spot: after the vanish when you steal the loaded thumb tip back into your hand so that you can reproduce the silk, you make a jerky flourish with your hand that looks unnatural. Better there to just keep it smooth and as much as possible just appear to naturally be making a fist.

if your audience doesnt know a thing like thumb tip you can easily show the trick with no problem. ''why run when no one is chasing you''. and dont challange people. dont show your hands for a minute, just show them for a split second thumb tip facing audience (dont cover thumb like in this video, witty people might be suspicios)and your thumb tips tip must face audience if it is too big. i dont recomend big tt for close up ...... wow... i actually dont know why i made this comment so long....xD
