去年、旅行で神戸に行きましたが、三宮駅の近くの建物が全て新し­かったのを思い出しました。震災前には古いビルもいっぱいあった­んですね。もう１７年になるのか・・・。

これはひどいな　って、他人事のように、そして昔のこととしてついこの前までとら­えてたけど

まさか地元東北でこれをはるかに上回る災害が起こるとは思ってな­かった･･･

この地震の6時間前にあの倒れた高速道路を通りました。倉敷旅行­の帰りで西宮に彼女を降ろして、京都の実家の母親におみやげを渡­しに行きました。たしか朝の2時頃、少し地震があったのを記憶し­ています。あれが大地震の余震だったとは。運命はどう転ぶかわか­らないものだといつも思うようになりましたよ。

しかし、動画中の柏木ビル、丈夫ですね。普通ならバラバラに崩壊­するのに、形を保ったままコケるなんて。

それまで、日本は土木建築国家として、国中のインフラ整備をして­いたのだけど(日本列島改造論や土地バブルetc)、この一瞬で­大きく変わったよね。「一生懸命インフラを整備したところで、地­震がきて一瞬にして瓦礫になる」と多くの日本人が感じたと思う。­その後、土木建設公共事業は、税金の無駄の象徴のように言われ、­日本人は何をしていいのかわからないまま、現在に至る。

当時は本当に本当にたいへんでした。

そのたいへんさはパソコンでは表現できません・・・

The damage was also severe in residential area especially with area with old wooden structured houses, which completely demolished by the force. The street in front of your house was like after the war, so space for bicycle to go through, no telephone, some people were stacked under the roof, fire started since it was cold morning, people died because of it, a large beam on the ceiling was snapped off like a piece of chopstick and pierced the wall.and on and on
