I just started sponsoring a little girl through World Vision. I really hope it makes a difference in her life - I plan to go and visit her in a few years. It makes me so sick how many people in this world have enough money to do this (you don't have to be super rich - $44 a month, really.) and would rather spend it on a new car or something luxurious for themselves. I'm 21 and not a millionaire. If I can do it, so can you :)
All i here is AFRICIA and always wondered why we dont here mexicia, etc in mainstream? . Look i am sick of world vision africia in very corner wanting money. you think everyone in western world has money for this. No. I am sick. I dont feel guilty. There is TRILLIONS of dollars in the congo mines that Chinese are taking. That could get everyone water, food, and a house in rest of Africia. There is no reason what so ever world vision should except struggling Australians to this.
@Covergirl2525 you wantto know if world vision does something well yes it cetainly does do good it trully is amazing the work they do. You are directly impactng the life of a child. You can pick a child from several different countries and It is not foolishly spent please consider sponsoring a child look up world vision online to pick a child if you can afford it .
I sponsored a child in Ghana, i've wanted to do this since i was a young girl and as a young lady now 19, i can say that is is the best feeling possible. Knowing that you can change someones life, help their family and the community as well. If i could i would sponsor so many more.
I have 2 World Vision sponsor children. It is a blessing and an honour to be able to help them, their familiies, and their communities. I receive letters from/about the children via World Vision workers. I can learn of wonderful news in their villages, and of their progress in school, and of their growth and improvement in their health.
I'm sponsoring a little boy from Uganda and i'm only 16 and in grade 11! If i can do it, you can too, you will realize that you have done something good and God will be pleased with you :)
I just sponsored a child the other day, then I am still waiting for the package from World Vision. I will not say something like I will change the kid's life, I just hope I can do what I can afford to make the kid a better life, and to provide the kid more choices in the future......:)))
I just sponsored a young girl from Congo the other day,I hope to put a smile on her little face, and change her life. It feels good to help someone in need.
hi i wanna throw bake sales for world vision, but i feel that i should get pamplets to rasie awareness and encourage sponsering a child. how would i get them.
im also visualy impaired so its hard for me to read and write. Just tell me what to do and i do it. thank you any info will help
I am sixteen and tonight i broke down in tears thinking of the years of wasteful monthly fee's for VIDEOGAMES.... I am ashamed of myself for letting it go on this long but tonight something changed and i will soon be cancelling most if not all monthly subscriptions and getting a job to sponsor many children and i hope to get my friends to as well
@Dorisequador That was over a year ago, i now have my life much more in order. I know a lot more about charity now and there are much better ways than world vision. Other ways. I'm not a liar.
@MrNoexcuses Ok since you acted in a nice manner I will dissmiss my acusation towards you.
I have inndirectly worked for the church and these type of companies and trust me they all take the money and do not give it to the poor except for some churches do alot! Some don't! They keep most for themselves and fraud millions yearly.
I was shocked to see where the money went. Well mostly. very sad to.
@MrNoexcuses It'sa sad and shocking when you find out hey .. Fuck was I pissed when i was working at the contracts for all the homes ehtye own for the top members and officials who run the company and the money they spend and expensive cars and vans they drive. I realized where most of the money went.
I'm currently sponsoring girl in Jerusalem, it costs almost nothing to change the life of a child and it gives yourself a piece of mind every day to know your changing the life of someone less fortunate for the better.
If you want to take it up a level, go to your nearest World Vision center and volunteer to gather sponsors for other children if you really want to make a difference!
I have participated in the 30 hour famine for five years in a row! Everyone should do this once a year - you get a smail sense of what these children go through day after day!
Here is the good in the Human Race. Join In, Have a car wash, sell Lemonade, Bake sale or yard sale so many possibilities to give. The feeling God gives you is good too!
I have also recently started sponsoring a child in mongolia. It is very heartfelt to know that what you're doing is really making a difference in someone else's life.

raregem666 2 years ago
It's a nice feeling isn't it.
The problem is, we keep seeing more problems, and the temptation is to keep helping - but obviously each of us can give only so much.
It's hard to watch some of these videos as the immediate temptation is to throw more on our credit card. But we must be able to afford it long term
The temptation to do more is so great. I just wish more people would do something.
