why can't we have both? goo programs and the party persona? It shows a nice dynamic. It is reality, but responsibility? Something like that. Being known for both OU would obviously gain more interest from people to come to the University
@Irishuwerehere We can totally have both but what happens when you apply for a job and tell them you graduated from OU and their only response is "Oh the big party school." I'm just saying, the "party school" rep sometimes overshadows the success of it's students. =]
I appreciate what you are doing and all, because I too am in Scripps as a Photojournalism major about to enter my 3rd year. Starting as a Freshman I had to defend myself and OU from the party stigma by educating people on OU's top programs, one being Scripps, which I am pretty sure is still top 2. But now being here for 2 years, there is nothing that could make me deny my school or pride in OU or Athens. I love the fact that OU is known for their programs and big social atmosphere.
a couple of small time names, almost every school has at least a few alumni who are considered celebrities or make a significant difference in society - still a huge, cheap, party school in the middle of nowhere
