Ninja isnt actually the right name either, its shinobi (to steal away). they used ninjutsu, wich is japanese. Im into this kind of stuff, and i think i know more about it than you do.

I know that stuff more than you do haha, believe me, my kung fu master told me about that, and if you think, China was civilized much before than the japanese, of course they would have "ninjas" before them. The ninjas exsisted already (in some shape or form) when the chinese munks came to japan in the 1020's. you are right when you say that kung fu came from india and so on. My point is that even though the chinese munks influenced the ninjas early on, the munks were not spies or assassins themselves. Ofcourse, there were probably assassins from other parts of the world, but the ninja, shinobi, originated from japan.
