I honestly don't mind the rifle play in Gears 3. The Hammerburst, in my opinion, should have more recoil or something because of how face it can down. ( Please don't troll me or flame me on this, different opinions on this is fine) But the Retro and Sawed-off is just throwing off the balance in this game. And this is what is killing the fan base of this game. The constant camping and how Epic is trying to get people that will drop it as soon as the next call of duty comes out.

I respect your opinion, but did you play the beta? Was shotguns 24/7. I like the lancers but im not the type to sit at the back of the map with one. And yes I use my gnasher also but not all game.
In GoW3 I run with the Gnasher. In the beta I ran with the Sawn-Off just so I can understand how it works. It helps to know the distance limit and spread on a blast. I stick with the gnasher unless everyone on the other team is running sawn-off so I switch and show them how easy mode it is. But it is funny to see people try to shoot the sawn-off from hella deep like it is a Gnasher. but i feel what your saying.

ive been playing since gears 1, gears 2 was so awesome cause of the gnasher battles! now its all about the machine guns, no fun. You should get a gnasher battle lobby
