    That's a straight up lie.

  • will you be able to understand it without seeing the first 3 movies?

  • @amamiyakari I only saw the first - never bothered to see the other two, but must admit - this movie is GREAT and you can easily see it without having seen the others.

  • @idunsdatter Thank you~ !!

  • agreed best mission impossible movie ever

  • I'm so surprised that you liked it. I had zero expectations of this movie... other than being impressed that Tom Cruise did his own stunts. I may check it out now

  • i didnt like how the sandstorm didnt affect the room the main characters were in...they took out the massive window, but no sand in the room after the bigass storm? at least show them putting up some high tech barrier or something!!!

  • MI 2 really was my favorite, cause I was a kid and it really blew me away

  • @Tubehead86 So was i ...

  • Jeremy Jahns, Watch BBC Sherlock.... NOWW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL COME AFTER YOU! WATCH IT NOW AND REVIEW IT AND SAY THAT YOU LOVED IT! OK, CLEAR! GOOD! thank you tee hee hee

  • Sorry Jeremy, I didn't hear what tou said from 1:33 to 1:45

  • 2 4 3 Never saw 1

  • The best Mission Impossible film i have ever watched. The story was fantastic the gadgets were fantastic. The Humor was great and the Stunts were Awesome! 9/10

  • SPOILER! The part when they put up a sheet wall thingy, the whole hall (theater) lauched. I mean 10 ppl. It's a small town >.<!!

  • 4

    3

    1

    2

  • Didnt like it. Chase scenes were rather boring

  • If i say M:I II , no one will hate me, but if i say i liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, i'm gonna die?

  • I loved Ghost Protocol, but I think M:I:III is still the best.

  • I knew it!!!! Oh yeah :) this movie was awesome!!!!!

  • wtf this movie sucked asshole why is everyone raving about it and the action sequence sucked major asshole most ridiculous over the top bs ive seen just terrible the first mission impossible aws the only good one in my opinion

  • @philhouse64 haters always gonna hate........

  • @Nequetrefi11 wow how gay are you? "I knew it!!!! Oh yeah :) this movie was awesome!!!!!" you definitely take it up the butt so gay...and seriously "haters gonna hate" fuckin 12 year old go listen to lil wayne dbag its a fuckin movie review if he said he didnt like it youd be trollin imo movie sucked original was way better

  • @philhouse64 by this one comment you already concluded all of that? Wow, what a wonderful being you are. Sure this is just an interweb revie, cuz if it wasnt, i doubt you would say all of that shit to people face to face. Go on trolling, imma go listen to some more lil wayne

  • Comment removed

  • @philhouse64 Please leave Lil' Wayne out of it. The movie sucked.

  • Omfg this movie was horrible so fucking overrated

  • @CREYKING for real i dont understand the hype either

  • This is my favourite one. It's still really stupid, but the underlying theme about priorities amidst roadblocks was very well-executed. Also, the directing helped too.

  • Watched it in IMAX 2 days ago, didn't see The Dark Knight Rises prologue too.. :(

  • I saw the film in IMAX today and I didn't see The Dark Knight Rises prologue... :(

  • @SGRev1 it was only for the first week

  • Who else thought he was going to meet Max when they put the bag over his head in Dubai?

  • This one definitely, although Owen Devian from 3 was a much better villain.

  • M:I-3 & Ghost Protocol are a tie in my book.

  • No shit!

  • OK Jeremy, it was not that amazing. Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol is more of an ''buy it on blu-ray''. Anyway, nice review !

  • Now this was a very good movie got sucked into it and they really did work as a team instead of ethan by himself.

  • The movie was AMAZING! lol everyone including me kept saying holy shit lol

  • no attachment to characters

  • cool

  • cars 2 is horrible. it went from cars which was relevant to cars. and every other car was a dam super agent. and it wasnt about racing

  • I'm starting to think the PIxar team is God

Brad Bird, the director of The incredibles and ratatoulle, DIRECTED this movie!

(execpt cars 2 apparently i hear its bad is it that bad?)

  • Don't forget to mention this was directed by Brad Bird :P

Who directed such amazing films like "The Iron Giant", "The Incredibles" and "Ratatouille"!

This is his first Live action-film.

  • @Lionalliance dude thanks for posting that its SO TRUE!

  • My hubby and I went to see this movie,I can't understand 8 for this. The storyline is poor, the acting is bad, it's mostly set around gadgets that don't work most of the time. There is nothing intelligent or clever about this movie. Zero suspense... ZERO. So many stupid moments... You killed my lover, bad... killing a half dozen innocent serbs to cover up my wife's faked death, meh... that's part of the job.

  • M:I:3 Is Tied With Ghost protocol

  • MI2>MI4>MI1>MI3

    Good movie.

  • I watched this film twice and thought was super awesome. before i saw the film your review was the first one i watched and it gave me a peace of mind to know that film was actually going to be good. thanks Mr. Jahns! mission impossible 4 was definitely one of the best films of 2011 in my opinion :D

  • haha, when they were walking down the hall without the gaurd seeing them was one of my favorite parts of the movie. But, my favorite mission impossible is still #3

  • Saw it a couple days ago, and yes, it was incredible, fun, badass, and, of course, AWESOMETACULAR!!!

  • What was wrong with MI 2?

  • @deswolfe its pretty boring not bad but boring its MI:1 MI:3 and MI:4 that you want to see

  • BRAD BIRD RULES!!

  • you rope is to short.......NO SHIT!!!!!!!! =]

  • it was a 10.9 i loved it... saw it new years... i agree it was awesomtacular!!

  • i seen all of the mission impossibles except the 2nd MI, but why does everyone say the 2nd is bad?

  • @Danny11301130 imo, it was kinda boring and they overused the face mask. i liked the end though.

  • @JabaAxe12 i find it kinda of funny that in this they make fun of that

  • Mission Impossible 4 is a summer movie because its summer in my country right now

  • @debbider in mine too southern hemisphere right ?

  • @nfsmohpsp Yep

  • "3" IS A LITTLE BIT BETTER BECAUSE OF THE VILLIAN PHILLIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN

  • Jeremy! Please review Tucker and Dale vs Evil!

  • the girl was hot

  • @MrDr143

    The blonde girl was hotter.

  • @RedCoatPrds bullcrap

  • @RedCoatPrds DEFINITELY !! when she got thrown out through the window I was like

FUUUCKKKK !! hell no YOU DIDNOTT JUST DID THAT !! no no YOU SHOULD JUMP OFF and she shouldd reallyyyy stay

  • 2 was the movie I watched again and again as a little kid

  • Guys, you should definitely go watch this one. It was in my opinion the best mission impossible.

  • @PRocker320 Can't be better than the 1st one. That one relied more on plot than action sequences. Mission Impossible 2 and 3 weren't good so I will give you those ones.

  • @goucla562 actually you gotta admit, this one did have a pretty good plot. also the assassin was really hot lol.

  • this movie is so boring. Im listening to waht you are saying and i cant beleive that your are talking about the same shit that i watched

  • @scheilinkin1 how can this movie be boring? it has great action scenes and a great plot not to mention the director is brad bird who directed the incredibles and ratatouille, you must've been one of those people who thought the story was complicated or hard to follow

  • did they tell u what the rabbits foot was in this?

  • I liked GP better than 3. The action in GP was top quality. However, I am one of those people that when watching a movie instantly pick out things that just couldnt happen. Like a mid 50's guy survive a head on collision in his car, have it go spinning through the air to crash upside-down, then go sprinting after a truck and jump on, I mean really? Not to mention the things that Tom lives through, hitting his head as he launched into the dubai tower, etc. not even a bruise! nit-picking ofc

  • My favorite of the Mission: Impossible movies was either M:I-III or M:I-GP honestly they were two of the most awesome movies I've seen in my life, so glad they didn't go down the bio-chemical route for the third time.

  • Ghost protocol.....and the first one.

I went into ghost protocol in the same mind set as you, going.....this is going to be either eh, or shit. I was on the edge of my seat for a couple of the parts.....I am not normally like that. And I am surprised at how much I laughed, as you said, the comedic timing was amazing.

  • @watson483 Well yeah the awesome Brad Bird directed this gem, screw IGN's review.

  • I didn't pay to see The Dark Knight prologue, I just went in to watch it and let. Theaters don't have good security during the day.

  • Until I saw MI4 my favourite was actually Mission Impossible 2. Because I live in Sydney and know all the locations lol. Lame of me I know, but still, it had a pretty good story

  • Didin't think this movie was awesometacular, average at best. You have been wrong about soo many movies JJ. I'm unsubing.

  • @clarkdef Not a single fuck will be given

  • @robotfreshpies You take it as a personal insult, looks like a fuck was given.

  • @clarkdef Nah I don't. Just explaining to you that if anyone with that many subs losts one, it wouldn't make a dent

  • @robotfreshpies This is True.

  • @clarkdef It's all opinions, dude. You can't expect to completely agree with him all the time.

  • There's no '4' in the title, douche

  • @killdano There should be. Douche.

  • @TheHoeyShow LOLWUT

  • best mission impossible movie

  • Mission Impossible 2 !

  • When he was climbing the building my palms started to sweat!

  • Saw this film in Imax. The building scene in Dubai was Awesometacular. Def best of the four.

  • 4=best

  • 2 was better than 1, didn't see 3.

  • I watched it and loved it. But am I the only one who couldn't get his eyes from the french chick's rack? Damn, what a feast for the eyes.

  • @SpyengoEen Léa Seydoux is HOT ... that is what I learned from M:I-4. Who says movies don't promote interest in other cultures?

  • @SpyengoEen Just came back from the movie thinking the same thing.

  • Mission Impossible 2!

  • It alsohad the most intense and awesome girlfight I've seen in awhile. That blonde bitch deserved to get kicked out the window, no matter how much crap Jane got for it.

  • just saw it and the absurd tech, yes absurd IS the best word for it. but it was god overall, love the twist and the cameos at the end, best of the series by far

  • It was a decent movie.. It would have been nice to have seen some of happenings in DC what with the "US bombing" of the Kremlin. Surprised WWIII didn't break out during the film.

  • @NoahTheNintendoNerd youre probably at it right now, but you dont really need to see the other 3. youll just miss out on some cool character references but thats mainly it.

  • the first M:I is the best... even better than the awesome 4th

  • Im going to this in an hour... Just to make sure, I dont need to have seen MI 1,2,3 to understand this, right? I hope not...

  • Just got back from watching it a couple of hours ago. It is now my favorite Mission Impossible movie. But my favorite Tom Cruise movie is still Collateral because that movie fucking rocks.

  • @DexterM187 are you series dude i just whatched it to

  • mission impossible 2 ... what!!! .... I WAS A KID WHEN I WATCHD DS N D WHOLE EPIC MUSIC N STUFF GOT TO ME ;P

  • ...I've never seen one...Have I missed something in life?

  • @Thezodiacdragon777

    Hell yes

  • India scene.....lol

  • i swear to i was sweating through my hand's when he climbed the dubai tower.

  • Awesome review!

  • dude that chick DOES remind you of Jade! Huh, whaddya know... And she wears green too, irony. lol

  • I'm Definitely watching this! :)

  • mission impossible vs tintin.....which one?

  • @monkeyjoe70 both? (:

  • I loved this movie, I've seen it twice now, once in Imax. But, one thing that sticks out for me that I've got to learn to "let it go", is there is no way that missile would have hit the Transamerica building in San Francisco without the Navy shooting it down. At least in real life, I hope this is the case... LOL!

  • I will say that as a John Woo fan 2 because it was so over the top and ridiculous that it made the movie awesome. Like the whole motorcycle chase was like Sure......... Also why do the tires on the bikes keep changing from Dirt to street. lol, Then Part 4 then 3 then 1. Honestly I love all of them though. Just A sucker for fun action.

  • Sorry dude, thought this movie was lame for the following reason:

    -gadget after convenient gadget

-Characters held back/distracted from the story

-Goofiness to the point of MI parody

    -Flashbacks killed the dramatic flow

-TC fighting the un-awesome bad guy at the end was not an acceptable climax

-Bad guy's goal is to literally destroy the world (Why would anyone sign up to help him do that?)

Jeremy, I usually trust your reviews, but I think your DKR trailer high clouded your judgement...

  • @leeroynaggins Sorry dude, I thought this movie wasnt perfect but what really made it a well done movie over all was Brad Bird. The script was deffenetly a problem but the directing was perfect and kept everything moving at such a good pace that i really think you should take more time to apreciate how amazing it was. Not to mention the cinematagraphy or the score, both of which were amzing at points. In my opinion I think your a little to (how do i put this) Stuck up. Sorry dude

  • @TheBoglebuddies

Well, you know young children are perfectly content to sit in front of a television without comprehending anything happening on the screen. All the pretty moving colors and sounds keep them entertained for hours...

  • @leeroynaggins If you want to relate THIS to young kids movies then you cant ignore the fact that the director directed The Iron Giant AND The Incredibles. I really dont think this movie was "pretty moving colors and sounds" because those movies pretty much proved that the guy new what he was doing. Overall it is a very well made peice of art

  • That hallway scene was freakin tense >.>

  • #3. Then #1 comes in far behind that, and #2 comes in dead last as just an awful movie.

  • @Rocketboy1313

I agree. #3 is the most serious and well thought out/acted of the series. Although I'm a bit forgiving of #2 as simply a Hong Kong movie that happens to star Tom Cruise.

  • jeremy that tech does exist! it has to do with reflections of molecules on a very tiny level.

  • @myoldvan119 name of this tech

  • @myoldvan119 their still working on it though, they dont have it up to field use status yet.

  • @dragonstar2011 Dude that's only what they tell us. You really think our government is going to reveal what they really have? They probably already have fully functioning exoskeleton body suits for the military. But if you really want to believe that okay then.

  • The first six mins of dark night rises wtf is that about pointless

  • Saw it today and I completely agree, it is the best one of the series.

  • BRAD BIRD FOR A SEQUEL TO THE INCREDIBLES.

  • Man now i really wanna see this movie lol ur reviews are so awesome man keep up the good work, i really liked the action seen in mi 3 when they're on the bridge and the drone is launching missiles at him while hes sprinting thats pretty epic

  • I'm glad to see you liked it, Jeremy. I ALWAYS watch your reviews before seeing a movie. This helped a bunch and I'm going to see it in IMAX in 2 hours! :)

  • No Jeremy you might actually pass the class. Trust me.I average D's and F;s my whole life in math until I had 1 hot Math teacher and I ended up with A's al the time.Even attended Math after school lmao. Looks can be a huge influence lol.

  • i went to see that movie by accident and a chick grabed my ass for somereason.

  • Have yet to see 4, though I'm really looking forward to it, mainly because it's directed by the fantastic Brad Bird. I loved 3, though. And I agree with @DexterM187, Collateral is possibly Cruise's best work. Totally underrated film (from Michael Mann, responsible for Heat, possibly the best action film ever).

  • A lot of plot holes!

    - It took him so much time to get up to the room’s window with two gloves, and it took him one cut to get up there with one glove?

    - NUCLEAR TERRORIST SETS MEETING WITH PEOPLE WHO THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE?

    - WHEN THE MISSILE WAS APPROACHING THE US, GIVEN THE ATMOSPHERE BETWEEN US AND RUSSIA, THEY DID NOT DETECT THAT A NUCLEAR MISSILE WAS COMING?

    - RUSSIA SENT ONE AGENT AFTER SOMEONE WHO SUPPOSEDLY BLEW UP THE KREMLIN?

  • @NicdaoNathan

So spot on! And your list doesn't even scratch the surface.

The story flow is also badly conceived and executed.

Ethan spends the first 10 minutes of the movie tossing a ball at a wall while the main action timeline is still unclear.

Too much backstory has to be layered in. I kept waiting for Basil Exposition to appear and clear it all up.

Even at the end, that useless and too long bar scene is still filling in things we don't know.

And it appears Ethan is stalking his ex-wife.

  • @leeroynaggins Also, the first thing I noticed was when the first agent in the opening scene busted through the door, IT WAS SO SLOPPY. Although the choreography was great in the climax scene.

Continuity error: When the girl assassin killed the first agent, the phone was on the ground with his hand, in the explanation with the girl agent coming, his hand is at his chest,

  • @NicdaoNathan The movies aren't exactly meant to be documentaries, you know.

  • @CinematicGalaxy So? Is that an excuse? No, Maybe they rushed the writing process.

  • HOW WERE THEY ABLE TO MOVE SO EASILY THROUGH EUROPE AFTER THE KREMLIN HAS BEEN DESTROYED???

  • pause at 0:30 and look at that

  • ive only seen ghost protocol and i saw it exactly the same way you did

  • the bird is the word

  • you are right. i saw it

  • Don't hate my spell because i am dutch!
