He was a nice 8 with really tall tines and probably 17 inch inside spread. I was actually leaving the stand for the morning and he ran out chasing a doe across an old logging road. He had me all torn-up. I was sick for a good week after that miss.

Dude, that is too funny. I love shooting at deer...you don't have to hit them everytime, but that is some good entertainment. Three of us got off 6 shots at 3 does running...tough shots, but funny to watch six shots barely miss. They ran for about a mile til out of sight. That's some good times right there.
I waited for a 4 point to get closer but he got to close and he saw me. :(
