if you want to get technical envy is a boy because he was created by Hohenheim when he tried to transmute his dead SON. but yah envy is still rather androgynous.

Pride was created by Dante. Gluttony... Nah, that's unknow, but his creator should be long dead, since Greed knew him before he (greed) was sealed.

Envy is a boy, he's Hoenhime and Dante's son who died young of Mercury Poisoning and they tried to revive him.
