whoever told you they couldnt cut tungsten off was grossly misinformed, its no harder that cutting off gold and if you smashed your hand the ring wouldnt bend and stay in that shape causing more damage like normal metal it would just break into pieces so idk i guess you should have looked into it a bit before you listened to these comments, also it can be engraved. not tryin to hate or anythg, i love your videos just thought you might like to know.

I have wedding bands in a few different kinds of metal and tungsten is my favorite. Gold and stainless steel scratch too much. Titanium is too light for my taste and still scratches. Tungsten carbide stays shiny, doesn't scratch, and has a nice weight to it. Despite what others have said, tungsten will not injure the finger if subjected to trauma. It is a brittle metal and will break into pieces. However, it is not engravable.

i cannot believe how many people are commenting things like 'why doesnt he get a more expensive one?' - the only thing that matters is that he likes it. If thats his choice, it has literally nothing to do with anyone else.  Wedding bands are for life, he shouldn't get a really expensive one just for the sake of it if he isnt going to like it.. its incredibly superficial of people to expect him to get a really flashy one - it would hardly suit his character anyway.

Hi Lorraine and Brian. I have been married for 9 years and my husband has gone through four wedding bands at this point and still counting, I'm sure. My husband is very athletic and active and puts his ring in his pocket when bike, mountain climbing, scuba diving, etc. So, my advice is if the rings weren't too expensive. Keep the second one as a back up.

My husband is a jeweler, and he said you definitely wanna go with the Tungsten. Never go with stainless steel- it will get very scratched up very easily and will tarnish over time. Return that sucker!

Tungsten is supposedly indestructible and holds up against scratches really well. My hubs has tungsten and he loves it! Plus we've been married for 3 years and despite his clumsy tendencies, his ring has held up great :D

i was actually just looking at something similar for my boyfriend.

if your man works and wants to keep his ring on without it getting damaged, get the tungsten.

the only thing that scratches tungsten is diamond.

and it wont bend.
