Let me explain why we miss it, from my old-school point of view. In the 90's, the Okinawans loved us, and we them. They have history thats 3 hundred years older than America, they work for a living, they dont bother nobody, it's a Utopia, for americans from bad areas... so long as we dont abuse it.
oh...does this bring back some wonderful memories...we were there from 1999 till 2002. wish we never left. whoever is there now, take lots of pictures and do everything you can, you're gonna miss it later on
*in a daze with reminiscence* My Dad was stationed at Hanson from '97 to '99. I miss this place SO much. I could cry with how much I love it!

I was there during Vietnam, 68-71.
It wasn't as commercialized as this video looks. No building was over 2 stories.
It was beautiful. I was in Sukiran.

Lovely island. I lived there for six years when my dad was stationed at Kadena. Still miss it.
