  • Oh my god, the more I do research the more I found myself was being so naive.

  • I don't care who it is, but if a person believes in religion, he/she should never ever be president. We'll have him/her talking to their imaginary friend, god, and invading another country.

  • @Boomoutgothelights Ok buddy, just because someone has faith doesn't mean they're a psycho like Bush and Cheney is. Stalin was an atheist, and looky at the wonderful job he has done to Russia.

  • @iluvsystemofadown

He was schooled in a orthodox monastery before he ran away to be a red political comissar... just so you know.

  • @iluvsystemofadown And the funny thing is all those people so far are authoritarian and not libertarian.

  • A man of principle.

Unfortunately the people that really run this world despise him and his truth. Their plan must not be slowed by truth.

    Follow the money.

  • damn. I can't believe that we couldn't elect this man. He was the MOST truthful and he was the LEAST listened to. What the fuck is wrong with us?

  • @johncantees

Personality has played such importance, that polls can show a majority of the public being against the policies of a President (Like Reagan or Clinton), while still approving of him in general. Disassociating candidates with their stance on the issues is even more relevant today, as top tier candidates get the least amount of support from the public when it comes to their policies, yet enjoys substantial leads in the polls, none the less.

  • this would imply that the average American actually investigate politics. I may be an idealist, but cmon now.

  • Its all a beauty contest. The Democrats want you think that saving America is to elect them.

Kucinich and Gravel were campaigning for real change. Meaning that you can't just overhaul Bush.

You have to overhaul corporate powers and globalization.

  • @NYJared04

and let's not forget ron paul too, he wanted to change this county for the better too.

  • Ron Paul/Mike Gravel = awesome team for America

  • Gravel is one courageous dude!!!

  • not iran...spain haha

  • So how do we address to all the Obama supporters that Obama isn't the guy for the job?

  • gravel made a mistake, weve been fucking iran since 53.

  • I noticed that too. I think maybe he was referring to the time since the shaw was removed from power because he said we have been trying to destablize the Iranian gov't for 25 years. And if I remember correctly was about that long ago.

  • He also stated that we destroyed their democracy which we only did in 53 after he mentioned the 25 years which was after the Islamic Revolution.

  • I am taking a whole new look at this man. He was unable to carry the load, but seeds were planted. Ron Paul did likewise.

Once everything falls apart, we may be able to contruct something out of the nothing that exists today. A post below sums up my feelings about this whole mess.

    It's professional wrestling.

  • He mentions the Iran coup in this video

    watch?v=lhwN79cvscM

  • But I think you get Gravel's point right?

  • Lol @ 1:44 "Vice President Cheney, who should be committed" glorious haha

  • Gravel is so right about the issues that he speaks. American people are so self-centred, They just can´t see the whole world and what´s happening outside america.

  • i don't understand how people can go about electing some one who pretty much, bold faced, says yes, i'm going to take away your power. Like, whats wrong with people, Mike Gravel said it as plainly as possible, "i'm going to give power back to the people" why would you not vote for that??? seriously, people and this country frustrate me so much some times.

  • Mr. Gravel, much like Ron Paul on the Republican side are the only people worth listening too. I love how people vote for the same types of people election after election, then wonder why nothing changes.

  • I would agree with that save for I also like what Dennis Kucinich says. My fellow Americans are all sheep. Great candidates like Kucinich, Gravel and Paul come along and whom does the majority vote for? Idiots like Hilary, Obama and John McCan't. Ugh. No one really, truly wants change.

Liberty is dying, friends...liberty is dying.

  • very smart, too honest to be president

  • yep, only, he's perfect for president, people are just so afraid of the truth.

  • my god this guy should be your next president, hmmm i forgot the corporations dont like him, democracy is an illusion in your country, you are led to choose the ones they like and the rest will be sidelined and ignored or attacked.

  • agreed....although honestly democracy ain't that great. Democracy in it's actual definition anyways, which means majority rule. In a real democracy, the minority's rights usually get violated, that's why it's best to have a way to protect everyone's rights whether they're in the majority or the minority. That's why we have a constitutional republic...or so they say, even though Bush called our Constitution a "piece of paper"

  • Majority rule with a Constitution to protect the rights of minorities is what Gravel proposes.

  • yeah, that and our votes don't "really" effect anything, via the electoral college.

  • is his name actully george stampanopolis? woah we in canada have a guy name george strombonpolis. freaky.

  • How come he is the one that gets the least time to talk but he says the most?

  • Same thing on the Republican side with Ron Paul. Both Gravel and Paul are saying the same things and arguements both are censored from the debates.

  • news flash bub this is the man who stood against his own party and the other and single handly put the facts out that put an end to vietnam.

  • Not only that, every thing hes saying about us destroying Irans Democary is true. We did do that.

  • The National Initiative for Democracy!

  • I love Gravel, but I think he is just in the race to force other candidates into widening the debate. I also think the both him and Kucinich will endorse Ron Paul. They share common libertarian beliefs. We are on the verge of Fascism. We need a non-corporate candidate and Ron Paul has the best chance right now.

  • Kucinich is a socialist basically. I am too im not knocking him

  • i like the idea of paying for education through PhD's :)

i'd like to become a social psychologist, but my family can't afford it :/

  • Work for it yourself then.

  • $72,000 for 4 extra years in college isn't exactly easy to get, you unsympathetic piece of crap.

i have other things to spend money on, too.. like a place to live, things to eat, if i have a family, etc.

  • What is your point by that statement?

  • What do you mean what's his point? He can't fucking afford it. Lot's of people can't.

  • RE:Amebixfan,,I was actually trying to reply to someone else's statement.

  • ohsnap

  • Hes great, I wish ron paul and him could somehow combine forces lol

  • nice video...thanx...

  • i think it's time for America to step down from its throne of power and let the world solve its own problems. Let us become isolationists and watch the world burn by the rise of Russia and China. be careful what you wish for

  • Good guy. Too bad hilary is smoking the rest...

  • Not too bad. We still vote them in.

  • Vote for ron paul, with gravel gone and kucinich not doing so well, Ron Paul is our only hope to set back the globalist 10 years, dont elect one of the talking heads the media has annointed, look at the field, and make your choice. You are then left with 3 men, Ron Paul, gravel, and kucinich, with Ron Paul having the best chance.

  • Gravel is not gone!!

  • RON PAUL 2008!

  • this man is an inspiration. he absolutely rocks.

  • you know..what he saids about the people who pray, want to go to war..for the most part is true..at least of the people i know..

  • I'm a diehard Ron Paul supporter, but I came here to see a glimpse of Mike Gravel just to see where he's coming from. I like a few things about what he had to say, but overall he's still nowhere even close to Ron Paul. Albeit, he is the closest out of any candidate from both party. And that's really a testament to how fucked up our "democracy" is. Hillary will be nominated for the Democrats, no doubt, which leaves us with Ron Paul as seriously our only hope.

  • just for curiosity Mr abruzz, in what way/ways is he "not even close to Ron Paul?"

  • His delivery. Some of his ideas. A lot of intangible things. Mike Gravel reminds me of that one sane guy in the middle of the crowd who is telling us all to wake up. And that's fine. But Ron Paul offers to full package. He knows the problems, he knows the cause, he knows the cure. And he delivers everything straight up and logical. If Ron Paul weren't running, Mike Gravel would most likely be my choice.

  • Both are lone voices of sanity among the goosestepping hordes of morons parroting the official line, but Dr. Paul is repulican. Because americans are the most ill informed on earth, he will have no chance of winning the nomination. The overwhelming part of election coverage is limited to fund raising and national polls and statistics, candidates and the issues are ignored. I think both will be defeated by much less honorable opponents. I am not happy about this, but it's my honest opinion

  • I agree with you on that. But we have to at least try. I know I will. Not only this election, but always.

  • Your the man.......I like how you say what you feel instead of what sponsers pay you to say. Not many REAL canidates like yourself out there, you have the respect of many honest americans sir.

  • Love You Mike!!!! Keep spreading the TRUTH!!!

    GRAVEL '08!!!

  • The applause sounds good.

  • I don't like Ron Paul and I think Mike Gravel or Dennis Kucinich are our best chances at reclaiming America back to the American people. They are our only hope for true progressive change!

  • Great video for a great man, Mike Gravel. I also like Ron Paul.

We have TWO chances to get rid of these Neo-Cons in government. Every Democrat should register Republican IMMEDIATELY, vote for Ron Paul in the GOP primary. Then when the primary gets stolen, in the actual election vote Democrat. We have two opportunities, TWO chances, please don't loose either...

  • yea fuck that.

  • YES TO STEM CELL RESEARCH!

    YES TO Gay Marriage RIGHTS!

YES TO WELFARE ON OUR VETERANS!

    YES TO ANOTHER 9/11 INVESTIGATION!

YES TO MIKE GRAVEL FOR PRESIDENT 2008!

    Gravel 08

  • hilary just signed a bill with bush to go to invade iran what a cunt both of them , ron paul save us

  • I like the point kardentyrell brought up. You see much the same reaction by the other candidates when Ron Paul was speaking at the 9/5/07 debate in NH. Seems whenever a candidate is actually making a good point, the other bullshitters (e.g. Giuliani & Edwards et al) resort to laughter as a last-ditch effort to make them look ridiculous.

Well, it's not working on me.

  • Man, wouldn't it be great to see our choices in '08 be between Ron Paul and Mike Gravel. In that race, we actually would have a choice. Not "bad or worse" as we had in '04.

  • Agreed.

  • You see all those candidates smiling and laughing at gravel, because the 'sad truths' are indeed funny. Gravel is making so much sense, you stop and think..what the hell have we been doing all these decades.

  • This guy sounds more and more similar Paul, on the broad issues, the ones that really matter.

  • IMHO Gravel is the real deal, but I don't believe he will ever win, the reason being the electoral college.

we need a national popular vote. that being said, he's still got my vote.

  • The Democrats always have room in their schedules for debates. But there's no room in Hillary's schedule for peace.

  • During the first part, Richardson can be seen in the background looking like he's going to hurl because Gravel is telling entirely too much truth. Great stuff.

  • hahahah, yea. Maybe he had a bad burrito though, but that did look funny

  • It's a big shame that none of the debates are real debates, and that Mike and other candidates get MUCH less time than Obama/Clinton

  • You gotta love 'love'. This guy says exactly what he thinks. I like that. Please view searchword wilburjr-thanks.

  • 2:21 - Obama & Clinton know FULL WELL what Gravel speaks of is truth (Iraq/Iran/Cheney). Both Obama & Clinton were at the AIPAC's convention this year. Bought and sold by American Zionist traitors and Israel. They are weak, impotent puppets. The 'people' are POWERLESS. They obey CFR, Trilateral Commission, AIPAC and Israel.

  • Most European countries do pay for their children from childhood to Ph.D.s. They have universal health care. Why don't we? Because the knee-jerk response to socialism

and the mistaking of socialism for communism. "Convictions are more hazardous to truth than lies." No one is calling for a redistribution of wealth, but I'd rather have universal health and subsidized schooling than that same money go to Halliburton or Iraq.

  • In the meantime, educate yourself and others. We cant sit around hoping someone will do it for us.

  • The big difference with European education system is that people have choices of where to send they're kids to school, In America you have to go to a school in your area

  • 'More love'? - We can no more legislate love than family values.

  • 'what we need is more love between one human being and another human being and then we will find the courage to dispell a lot of the problems in human governance' - mike gravel

    gravel08. us

  • I am not sure how much either he, or Ron Paul's camp can accomplish. In 3 days neither have managed the simple act of adding me as a friend yet.

  • Hopefully, you'll donate to their campaigns so they can hire more staff, if that's the problem.

  • That kind of mentality is precisley why I voted against Christine Gregoire, she used economics as a reason she couldn't do her job as Washington State Attourney General. Now she is our governor. If economics is the sole reason one cannot get the job done, one shouldne't make promises that one can't keep.

  • Do you often base general principles on anecdotes?

  • You're a good man, Mike Gravel. I continue to follow your appearances closely. Be well, sir...

  • Mike Gravel was my favorite initially, but my interest is waning. The only thing I heard here that was new was merit salaries for teachers. Some phrases I'd wish he'd say less of is "business as usual", "stop and think", and "follow the money".

  • I love Mike Gravel as well. He might consider giving up "Basking Robins Ice Cream" also. I am waiting for the candidates address more on crime & the environment.

  • im 47 and NEVER given ANY money to ANY presidential canidate..OR ANY CANIDATE!!! i gave 20.00 to mike...couldnt afford it..but i did.

AMERICA PLEASE WAKE UP...we can take back our power...but its allmost too late! To all my freinds and family in iowa...SEND A MESSAGE...eat the free food, get your day in the sun...then vote with your hearts... lets turn this debate upside down...vote for mike or dennis..and watch the rest or them scramble around like mice when you turn the lights on !

  • STOP AND THINK PEOPLE!!!

  • I've Got Crush On Mike Gravel (YEAH REALLY!)L@@K!

    watch?v=QyN47wp921E

  • thank goodness for mike gravel. if it wasn't for him we'd have way way less truth and goodness in the world in general and DEFINATLY in the debates. can you imagine how much the neo-cons want to assasinate him? he's brave as fuck and we owe it to him for putting his neck on the line to support him for telling the truth

  • croft believes in gravel, because gravel believes in her!

  • Mike Gravel WILL NOT be president of the US. This is because he has not got the campaign investment, but truth and integrity. And many US citizens who worship the heavenly virtues and denounce the deadly sins are hypocrites to their belief. Preech the wrath of greed and vanity to the worl. What goes ....

  • Mike Gravel is scary honest probley what we need in the white house. I don't like most of the Democrates either. Go Marshalltown!!

  • the right man for the job at the most needed time. Keep exposing the hypocrisy Mike we Need and love ya for it/

  • It's interesting to see Obama truly paying attention to Mike's answers regarding the Iran war the administration is planning to bog Americans into before the 2008 election. I see Richardson also dying to get a word in when Gravel is talking on the same subject, because he does have important experience on all of this, it looks as if he wants to get a chance to agree. I hate the way all these debates are being handled by the Presidential debate corporation.

  • I hate that shit too. fucking bugs me, if the candidates were really interested in answering our questions they would do it directly over youtube. we don't need them to all be in one room together anymore

  • Please help out Gravel and send a few bucks his way. He's out there to bring the people into power, to weaken the corporate-nationalist government and its servile corporate-nationalist media propagandists. Freedom is participation in power, and Gravel is asking you to participate. Help Gravel give this country a chance for real greatness.

  • amazing.... GO MIKE GRAVEL! Spread the word about him!

  • This guy is the only honest person on that stage. Only Gravel or Ron Paul are acceptable as our next president.

  • Not his best.

  • hahaha...the audience members look so gloomy.

i like mike gravel and ron paul.

i hope they can both collaborate together to create the ORIGINAL AMERICA that our founding fathers intended us to have.

I really DISLIKE obama, clinton, romney, giuliani, edwards & others.

  • Gravel came across as a confused, angry old man at times here. That's not good. I have contributed to his campaign, but he needs to stay above the fray. Please, if you respect the messages that Gravel and Ron Paul have to offer, donate to their campaigns. I profoundly disagree with some ideas each man has, but they have very important messages that need to be heard. Let's support honest candidates for once.

  • Americans can no longer think for themselves. Americans will vote for whoever they are told to vote for.

  • Thus guy preaches world government, but doesn't want to march into countries to enforce UN resolutions. I don't understand.

  • What are you ? FoxNews ?

  • When did he mention "world government?"

  • not in this video but he has talked about world government being an ultimate goal. which means there would be a collaboration...there would also be the same, federal laws, state laws, and district laws.

  • I think Gravel has made it painfully clear that he doesn't want to "march" into other countries. That's war. Gravel wants diplomacy.

  • Well, good luck instituting a World Government by diplomacy. Like history is littered with societies that freely gave in to larger governments. And what happens when a Stalin, Hitler or Bush gets hold of office?

  • I hear you. but at the same time I think the pros outweigh the cons concerning the idea of a world government.

  • There are no pros.

  • forget you. it seems like you already have your mind made up on this. I'm not going to do any research for you.

  • That George Stephanopol.... or whatever his name is asked a nonsensical question, at 05:48. How the hell should the Fed "lower rates for everyone else" ? The Fed only has control over the Overnight Federal Funds Rate, which is the overnight lending rate to banks. All other rates are determined by market supply and demand. And Mike flat out said euphemistically, "there's no answer to that question".

  • His name is ridiculous, a verbal disaster and american viewing audiences shouldn't be subjected to such a mangled last name, I find it insultive and unsanitary.

  • You're never going to hear from this guy again, because anyone who offers a scathing critique of US imperialism will be ridiculed and shoved off into the hinterlands of public discourse . They don't want us to understand US imperialism. They don't want us to think they run an empire, using our tax dollars and our bodies.

  • i hope he wins i hope a surge of popularity for mike comes soon

  • Go Mike!

  • This guy has the bravado that the dems need. The reason the Democrats comply is because they're scared of losing votes. Yet they loose elections anyways.

This guy stand his ground and can very well hold his own against right wing popycock.

  • HAHA! I thought you were serious until you put in that final line.

  • WOW. This is the best one yet! Finally Mike got to talk! Great work guys!

  • Yeah. Kucinich didn't get to say anything, but I will say that Gravel's stock has gone up in my book. In a just world, it would be a choice between Gravel and Kucinich.

  • Usually it's like Gravel and Kucinich have to share their time between each other, when Dodd and Richardson could both be asked and that time used for Kuchinich to be at least equal.

  • Why is it that the only people who tell the truth about anything have no chance to win? Are the people that corrupt?

  • Yes, OrangeBull. People are that corrupt. I am serious. If you believe that Mike Gravel tells the truth (I tend to believe this) and that honesty is of the utmost importance with regards to the Presidency, then please do not sit still in your sorrow. We must not let the media convince us that Mike has no chance (even if they're right)...it may be hopeless...but let's TRY not to let it be.

  • They are wrong. Mike WILL win, and it'll be because of people like you who think for yourselves, and make others around you think too !

  • thank you for your honesty,,,another hero like kucinich ,,,

  • I confess I didn't see this debate live. (Ron Paul guy.) I see the gnome is still cutting people off. Kudos to Gravel for not letting him decide what Gravel could talk about. Kudos for telling it like it is on foreign policy.

  • You tell'em, Mike Gravel!

  • Actually, Obama raised 32 million. It's sick I know, but it's true, I don't support Gravel but I like him a lot.

  • why is it that the guys that tell the truth get the least amount of airtime and are often ridiculed?

  • Because that's how they run things.

  • He loves saying "stop and think". I am surprised the Zionist owned media gave him that much air-time.

  • Even if this zionist conspiracy of yours holds any water and really matters, what does that have to do with any of these political candidates? You do know that none of them are Jewish right?

  • You don't have to be Jewish to be a Zionist. I'm surprised you didn't get that memo.

  • Research how many candidates on both sides get contributions from AIPAC and are keynote speakers at their conventions. Gravel, Ron Paul & Dennis Kucinich are not in the zionist circle. It's not an allegation that zionists own 96+% of the media--that's simply stating a fact.

  • the most honest politician in the history of America. And we're letting him slip away. If we give him the funding and support he needs to get into the primaries he will humiliate anyone who tries to debate him.

  • Well he may humiliate people, but he will alienate others, it's hard to imagine someone like Mike Gravel ever getting into the White House, he has several rather extreme views like legalize all drugs and get all the troops out of Iraq in 2 months.

  • He wants the troops out within 120 days which is 4 months. It's not a radical idea at all considering 70% of all Americans want us to get the hell out of there.

  • Seeing Edwards smirk and preen for the camera, Clinton's looks of aghast, and Obama's confusion tells me that Mike Gravel is truly a wise man standing amongst a group of spoiled impetuous children. Go Mike!

  • send him money. he'll pay you back 100 times fold

  • George Stephanazi.

  • another great showing for Gravel it seems to me like hes had the best answers at every debate when they let him speak so i cant understand why support for him is still so low tell me anything that obama or hillary has over him anything

  • send him money. he'll pay you back 100 times fold

  • Money

  • He's the only one without scripted answers, AND, he's RIGHT on the issues.

  • send him money. he'll pay you back 100 times fold

  • Mike NEEDS money ! Help Mike help US! He's asking for your pocket change . ANYTHING !

  • go mike. make kucinich you're VP and you have a winning team!

  • Go Gravel!

  • i wanna buy over priced mike gravel stuff

i just figure i could donate and prove it in one shot

    mike's the man

    and dennis too

    nobody else

  • Ron Paul has some views on abortion that I cannot agree with. Also I do not agree with his endorsement for the building of the 700 ft. wall between U.S. and Mexico.

  • Gravel actually wants more power towards the people than government. So, I wouldn't go for Ron Paul. I think Ron is a cool guy but I support Gravel and will continue. Gravel wants people to vote on a Federal level. That's more power to the people. So jbarisoff, I love your enthusiasm for Ron Paul, but research more about Gravel's views before telling all Gravel supporters to switch simply because Ron Paul is supposedly better.
