  • I really want to know how you managed to get 20x30 print with 8MP photograph. Was there any post processing? It is interesting to know that there was no pixelization or staircase effect. Most of people in printing industry would agree that 8MP would create staircase effect as there would be only 133 pixels for one inch (which means 5 or 6 pixels in a millimeter)

on close observation, I think one should be able to see the staircase effect.

  • @manishKothawade I get my prints from mpix.com. The big print I show here was on their metallic paper. Since I don't make my own prints I don't know much about dpi and all the stuff involved with printing. All I know is I send mpix.com the file and they send me gorgeous prints back.

  • LOL!!! I am into photgraphy as well, and feel rifle scope manufactures comply to the same marketing to a degree.

  • Thanks for the vids. Ya know.. according to this exciting presenter, you couldn't have printed your 20x30 with an 8mp camera. If you stick to his handheld (lol) chart, you couldn't have printed larger than an 8x10 with an 8mp camera. So you better hold that goat up to the webcam again withOUT all the glare so we can take a look at how "soft" the print is.
