@NSAHAI1 I thumbs downed this because these are my two favorite songwriting duos. no need to turn it into a sports team cheer or jeer sort of thing. each pair had one soul who knew the world runs on hot air (Lennon and Morrissey), and another with a heart of the very sweetest of sounds (McCartney and Marr). i also think both bands quit while they were ahead (ahem, i'm looking at you rolling stones).

When I was at school in the 80s the amount of people who poked fun at me for liking The Smiths, saying they were miserable, sad, boring etc.. maybe those people should take a good look at this video and think again.

this is very memorable to me as I was at this gig in Glasgow Barrowlands, my friend Doreen (what a name) borrowed on of my shirts to wear and got up on stage - Morrisey spat on her and she was bundled off by the bouncers. I never got the shirt back either. It was also filmed for the tv show The Tube
