Who wouldn't fall in love with gentleman Jim's music, if ones daddy had to play those lovely songs early mornings over the weekend (when he didn't have to go to work)? When the songs were heard right from dreamland?
I did fall in love with them then as a kid, and much more from my late teens as a born again Christian.
In my 40's now, I still miss those early mornings, getting off bed to see my dad dreamingly listening to those tunes...
I found this song on one of his records available for sale on the Internet. The album is entitled My Friend... on RCA Records LSP4646 and was released in 1972. All the songs on this album along with the information I just gave is posted by the seller.

I'd just warn of one thing: The lyrics don't say it, and neither should they, the part put in at 1:59. "Let your heart guide you...." I think this is in contrast to Jeremiah 17:9

It is a nice song and more on the right side of where God wants His worship to stem from. 2 Cor 13:5
I'd just warn of one thing: The lyrics don't say it, and neither should they, the part put in at 1:59. "Let your heart guide you...." I think this is in contrast to Jeremiah 17:9
So be careful this is not something you/anyone truly believes or relies on.
the "Guide" is to be God through His Holy Spirit (Helper left for us after Christ went up) Filtered by His Word. Nothing else :)

This is a beautiful song, and a very good question to ask, I just talk to Him and I just can't stop crying, the experience I had at my workplace over a year ago let me draw closer to God. He heal my broken heart, He gives me comfort in the midst of the storm, He annointed me,He give me visions in the night and He told me that He will marry unto the backsliders,what more would I want Him to do ? He's wonderful and awesome.He never loses a battle, we are victor and not victims.Great song.tnks

My brother was taken home in March...and he was choir director at our church...I remember seeing him leading us in singing this song!...I miss him so much and struggle to accept the Lord's will about this..Thank you for posting this song.

You and God are 1? Really? When was the last time you opened your mouth and spoke into existance anything?Do you gaze up at the stars or a sunset and say "Am I good or what"? How did you know how far to set the earth from the sun? It was because of this arrogant desire to be as God that Lucifer was cast from Heaven and God's presence.Read the scriptures, pray , humble yourself and ask God to reveal His truth in Jesus to you or you will find that you are eternally separated from Him in hell

Your inner silent Self is God or Jesus. The body/ mind/ego are transitory and perishable. They have no reality. They are like the clothes to be discarded. What you are is pure consciousness/awareness or God. In reality you are God. You are now identifying yourself with your thoughts and imagine God is separate from you. The person whom you think you are does not exist except in your thoughts. You are not the body. By thinking you are the body you become Lucifer. It is your choice.

I do not exist as separate from God or Jesus. There is only God or Jesus that ever exists in reality. My body and ego are transitory and will persish upon death. The body cannot survive for a second without Consciousness/ Awareness which is God.. What I am is that consciousness/awareness. What I am is the pure I am. The statement I am that I am in the Bible sums it up. If you want to identify yourself with your body and ego then don't blame me for that.

I think I know what you mean, It is difficult to say because I don't know your circumstances but for me it was the loss of my daughter 4 years ago that tested my faith and I still can't say that I have had that fully restored. I am sure that given tome we will both regain our faith in full.
