I was a hardcore Marine wannabe but I ended up joining the Army. I joined the Army instead of the Marines for a lot of reasons but Im a professional and I keep my fuckin mouth shut and just work, and it seemed that a lot of the Marines I knew wouldnt shut up about how awesome they were. I wasn't down with that. The only exception was the 03xx guys who had seen combat. I had mad respect for them.

And no, retreating is tactically retarded (it's also what pussies do [ie U.S. Army]). It gives the enemy more ground, and besides if one unit decides to fight to the death and manages to hold, the forces behind can be reinforced.
