I like this one.. I can understand what ppl say that it sucks and its too easy... But its still a good game.. The texture off the game and even some of the combo moves. Nothing beats devil may cry 1..

you can hit the guy with that sword in human form but you're scared to do that while in the demon form also at the first part you could have activated the majin form before healing and you used a gold orb. You could have practiced before making the vid!

1. this game needs a remake, the bosses were interesting, but dante didnt act like dante, the story was interesting, the final boss had a cool concept, but the gameplay, the voice acting, the graphics were infior to DMC1, but because of the few innovations we got in this game, DMC3 had those awsome moves(like the rainstorm and the wall running from this game, along with the newer moves like slowing time down)

@NosferatuAaacaado It is awesome but it should have been better.Sword attacks aren't good.Only 3 different moves(Rebellion combo,High Time and Helm Braker)and a devil trigger.Also Vendetta the second Devil Arm doesn't have any differences.The same moves.And you just got 6 moves when you are in DT state except Rebellion/Vendetta Combo,High Time,Helm Braker.Only Air Raid,Roundtrip on air and charge shot with pistols.Swords suck and only guns can do the trick.DMC2 is great but not like the others.

@Vomex2 It took me multiple times on my first time through the game. I don't know why but it took me a while to learn it's attack pattern. My strategy is hit it once with the sword and do the rest with guns. The guns don't work unless you hit it once with a sword.

reading the comments I dont get why everyone hates Nero, sure, hes no Dante, but I hate DMC3/4 dante.

Nero was different, I think they wanted to have to player see the DMC universe from someone elses eyes for once and actually be a bystander to Dante and for once we look at him and actually have a ton of questions.

DMC games are all so different, its hard to put one on top. But for me, DMC1 Dante all the way.

They slowed down the action to much in this game an they should have improved the graphics also more back story and dialog would have made this a much better game oh and I agree with many people that they should reboot this game instead of whatever there doing and use the dmc4 character model I liked his look it was a nice cross between dmc1 and dmc3 style

Not that anyone knew this at the time, but DMC2 is the last in time-order, so Dante really would have matured by this point having beaten the shit of of demons constantly. Dante fully comes into his half-demon powers in this game too, so it's kinda hard to judge his character, he's supposed to be the embodiment of all things badass >.>

hasn't any one else noticed a similiar series of game related trends starting in DMC2? check the following list if you dont think so:

-mission selection

-a city/twon like enviroment in the opening missions

-several dificulties

-alternate costumes

-a new female character/love intrest is introduced each game

-the final boss is of humaniod size and shape.

-multiple playable characters

there were a lot of not too good things in DMC2, but a lot of trademark DMC themes as well.

despite what anyone may say I think that DMC2 was a great part of the story and want to see where it goes. everyone thought that DMC4 was gunna continue it with dante in hell back in the day... i was stoked on that. but DMC4 turned out to kick some major ass anyway and i think it was the best yet! But yeah... DMC2 was good for many things... acrobatic gameplay was awesome... variety of enemy's was an improvement and switching guns on the fly aswell. It also had the most badass Deviltrigger! :p

There's should be 2 discs in the case. One of them has Dante's story and the other has Lucia's. If you only have one disc, then you've probably been screwed over by whoever you bought it from.
