power has nothing to do with the slalom, maybe for the 100th of a second where you accelerate on the exit...but other than that its a test of pure handling. btw the new corvette zr1 does 74.4 mph in the slalom...its the best handling production car out there. the new bmw 335i does 69 mph as well. for the cobalt only being (in canada $18000) brand new, i think its not a bad deal. the si prob does 67 mph, to put that in perspective, the new f150 does 66.5 in the slalom. fuck your civic

1st its not a ricer if it was it would have a high pitched screeching sound like all ricers 2nd the attempt so say you must fight for 250whp all you have to do is replace the s/c with a 50-60mm turbo runnin 8psi depending on placement a cold air intake or a short ram a full exhaust headers downpipe muffler etc and if that doesn't do it slap on some comp cams don't think just because you can't achieve somthin no 1 can.
oh "just" replace the s/c with a turbo set up.. only like $4,000 or so.. plus money for a tune.. plus full exhaust.. Cat=$150 or so.. catback=$600.. intake-$100. "ONLY" $5,000..
my cobalt has almost 380whp so anytime u wanna race go to Chicago ill be ready and ur cornerin theory is wrong aswell intrax as me covered with a 2.5 in front drop and a 3.5 in rear drop
on a na car, yes. on a supercharged car you will gain more. on a turbo car you will gain even more. most catbacks on a cobalt ss add about 7-12 hp. a nice header and dp combo will get you over 20whp.
the only time a catback helps for more then 5 HP is when ur car has a supercharger or turbo preferably turbo but you wont get much HP gains unless u have a full exhaust from the downpipe back
some people really need to learn the the fug rice means because it does not simply aply to a 4 banger or Japanese car. non-car culture people just don't get it.

actually the GMPP exhaust is probably the best out there for the cobalt ss...Dyno'd before and after install yielded a 12whp gain, show me another cat back system that puts out those #'s

Idiot...catbacks don't do shit besides add noise.
Lets think, FWD SUCKS, wing=worthless for this car, this car is worthless overall.
Cheap plastics all around, sounds bad, super slow, you spend so much money to get just 250whp and 250wtq IF THAT! I can spend that much money or less to get a decent 240whp and 330wtq off mine, plus AWD, no gay wing, sounds good, RELIABLE, and can actually corner.

i have a civic SI, and i actually agree with you., the wing is mega gay and at times i dont like mine. my si with a turbo on stock internals would be around 280-290hp. i already raped a cobalt SS, my car had intake header exhaust. i have a mustang as well 567whp. its a beast

1st its not a ricer if it was it would have a high pitched screeching sound like all ricers 2nd the attempt so say you must fight for 250whp all you have to do is replace the s/c with a 50-60mm turbo runnin 8psi depending on placement a cold air intake or a short ram a full exhaust headers downpipe muffler etc and if that doesn't do it slap on some comp cams don't think just because you can't achieve somthin no 1 can.

oh "just" replace the s/c with a turbo set up.. only like $4,000 or so.. plus money for a tune.. plus full exhaust.. Cat=$150 or so.. catback=$600.. intake-$100. "ONLY" $5,000..

my cobalt has almost 380whp so anytime u wanna race go to Chicago ill be ready and ur cornerin theory is wrong aswell intrax as me covered with a 2.5 in front drop and a 3.5 in rear drop

agreed. you might gain 12hp from intake, header, exhaust. together

on a na car, yes. on a supercharged car you will gain more. on a turbo car you will gain even more. most catbacks on a cobalt ss add about 7-12 hp. a nice header and dp combo will get you over 20whp.

the only time a catback helps for more then 5 HP is when ur car has a supercharger or turbo preferably turbo but you wont get much HP gains unless u have a full exhaust from the downpipe back

ummmm lol. the chevy exhaust is performance limited, and has way to much back pressure. The ark "performance" exhaust increases the .......... PERFORMANCE and of course sound of the cobalt especially if it has other mods bolted on in the engine.

cam it.. that for only 700rpm extra... LSJ.. that the engine we have.. lol...
put injectors, harness for injectors, smaller pulley, water/meth injection, port intake & supercharger etc.. those are my plan soon.. ;)

actually the GMPP exhaust is probably the best out there for the cobalt ss...Dyno'd before and after install yielded a 12whp gain, show me another cat back system that puts out those #'s
