  • OMG I love Jim Morrison

  • Apparently he hated singing this song cant vouch for.the.guy but can see.y.to jim not orginal not him...but overall great tune...im sure he.dig ever bit.of it

  • I know the Doors for over twenty years now...I have NEVER heard a band with such unique, intransigent, sexuall, clear, unconditional and sensational ability bevore like they are!!!

No one will step in their place!

(Greetings to every fucking Doors fan in the world)!!!!!

  • Does anybody know when was this recorded? Tnx

  • @amandla22323 1969.

  • I love the Doors but I wouldn't fancy going to hell! I hear the food's relly bad there.

  • wow i can hear alittle bit of Elvis in his voice at times..every song is just better than the one before it..everyone on here is right there is and never was a better band than the doors and noone will ever sing like Jim...we forever love you

  • Robbie wrote this song!!!

  • The voice of GENERATIONS to come

  • Best band their ever was R.I.P. Jim Morrison The Doors will allways be my favorite band

  • follow him down to the revolution, thats the meaning of that one part in robby kriegers song.

  • @MrSistermaryelephant He's in Africa with Wild Child

  • Why was Jim so fond of that Electro Voice mic?

I used this one ( forget the model #), with it's built in threaded end for screwing onto the mic stand, throughout my teenage years to record with, but never thought of singing through it. I guess after all every time we see Jim singing we are listening to a recording too. He really was an insightful man.

  • We will follow you Jim!!!

  • I don't know but I think Robbie is the coolest one in the band.. Totally the unknown not there to be cool but actually the next key creative mine next to Morrison.

  • Jim Morrison is The Coolest frontman ever.

  • i think this is better than the studio version

  • one of the most peaceful and positive songs of all time

  • jim isnt dead

  • Agree. He'll live within us till the end of our lives, till we "follow him down". Now it's 2010 and we still love The American Poet, Mr Mojo Risin'!!

  • @LordWoodsie jim isnt dead

  • @MrSistermaryelephant hes dead literally, but not dead in our hearts :)

  • @MrSistermaryelephant No Jim is not dead. We are! Winter equinox 2012 16 days.

  • frakin awesome.....

  • my life still livessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • The Doors Forever

  • IDK what it is about this song but I just love it!

  • I like the music chemistry between Manzarek and Krieger in this one.

  • I attended Ceremony School when this song was written. Sooo cool.

  • No man, jim was asked to perform this on the album by robby.

  • ceremony school hahaha

  • Nicely said anselmo219!

  • when igrew up in ceremony school they put forth proposition you can petition the lord with prayer! YOU CAN NOT PETION THE LORD WITH PRAYER!! can you find me sanctuary i cant make it anymore the man is at the door. been years i might of messed up, but the beg and the end were great, successful lies are here to stay, buildin up the soft parade! women to my left leoppards to my right, outta sight!

  • Lol...its "Seminary" school...not ceremony!

  • infact im sure of this i remember the trouble he had writing this last album.although honestly im a big doors fan and this was the lesser of his albums,my fav song would have to be 5to 1 or texas radio and the big beat.

  • r.i.p james douglas morrison

  • song came off soft parade fellas morrison wrote this, krieger only to my knowledge wrote lite my fire and i think peace frog if im not mistaken?

  • @anselmo219 he wrote wishful sinful, one of the doors top five songs

  • "Tell All the People," "Touch Me..."

Jim might not have liked Robbie's lyrics, but he could damn sure write songs that favored Jim's voice...

  • See this is what I mean't, this was in the middle of Jim's troubles with the law, and they sounded great, and also I don't understand why people think that "The Soft Parade", is the Doors worst album, minus Touch Me.

  • what`s the meaning of mojo

  • "Mr Mojo Risin" is an anagram (scramblin' of the letters) for "Jim Morrison". Just count the letters in both words! ;-)

  • Mojo has something to do with voodoo. The word is brought to America by some black blues singers.

  • @pepote1390 'Mojo' is originally a magical charm bag used in hoodoo with an alternate translation of 'libido'. It's also a word which has been used for umpteen years in Blues music...'Got my Mojo workin' (Muddy Waters).

  • @pepote1390

Jim Morrison -> Mr. Mojo Rising

He just build a new name with the same letters

  • @pepote1390 -- Sexual power.

  • morrison

    king of the music rockblues

  • Morrison ist Tote!

    Great post.

Still remember them on Ed Sullivan.

  • Dear Viewer: PBS must be thrilled, to this day, that they held on to The Doors Soundstage extremely rare performance of the Doors post- Miami performance. The only one, done professionally, unless the Elektra Doors Family suddenly finds something in their Archives! From Paul Rothchild who loved and predicted The Doors comeback in the mid 70's. Dan K., Grafton, Mass.

  • what's with krieger's black eye?

  • What?...

I'm not seeing anything.... he's kind of wearing sunglasses.

  • at 2:47 you can see that under his eye its swollen and discolored.

  • I see--I'm not sure. I mean the discolouring might be from the shadow of his glasses, but something's definitely a bit off. I wonder why.

  • he was in an altercation with someone at a club apparently from what i've read in other videos of the same gig .

  • Krieger didn't have a black eye here. HE had it in December of 68 on the Smothers Bros show. This was mid 1969..just sun glasses. theres footage from him on this day with glasses off. No black eye.

  • His eye isn't black. IN the interview section of this set, his sun glasses are off and there is no black eye. He had one in December of 1968 on the Smothers Bros performance.

    ¡Viva The Doors!

  • So great that you put this back up. Thank you. It's fantastic.

  • still the coolest band
