  • Probably the dumbest question....Where did you get that shirt?

    Great videos, btw!

  • @EloquentSpeaker From my wife. :) Honestly no idea where she bought it.

  • Looks a bit like the "How its made" tv-shows....nice to watch but missing loads of information if someone is looking for instructions and guidance...

  • i kind of agree that 1/4sawn can be boring because flatsawn shows more character

  • Where is the slot and truss rod? Dude you missed it... Should be in before you assemble the body and headstock laminate...

  • @SALMONKO ---no truss rod on a classical.

  • love the spindle sander lol human ingenuity can be amazing sometimes

  • Can you do a video on building a Caj'on?

  • @bmctexan I do plan on doing one in the future. Not sure when, but I really want one.

  • hahahhaa.....liike a butt...

  • I just jumped right in. Definitely wish I had a teacher though!

  • Cool video bro

  • hahaha nice title :)

  • wood whisperer have you ever built drums?

  • nope. Never had the opportunity.

  • @TheWoodWhisperer

Check out the videos by Smileythejazzcat if you wanna know how to make an awesome stave shell snare drum. It's not a difficult as you might think!

  • @n8tivguitar what?!!!! wood drums?!!

  • nice quality video

  • wher did u get that shurdt

  • Honestly, I don't know. My wife picked up up for me somewhere.

  • @TheWoodWhisperer Your wife buy all your shirts? Every episode is a different shirt - Love seeing them all :D

  • hey u took my advice

  • Took your advice on what?

  • i advised u to make a guitar

  • Oh, lol. Well you realize that's not me in the video right? :)

  • it will also be nice if u make a clayton boyer clock and a clascic wooden surf bord a pool table

  • Any idea when the next part is going to be up?

  • As soon as possible. Does that help? :)

  • Wow, you did a great job on those sides. I used Ovankol for the back and sides on my first guitar. Looks beautiful, but they didn't to bend very easily. Lots of great ideas I wish i had known before in there too. great vid.

  • Nice job, but were is the guitar strings? How well does it play? I never have seen this type of guitar. How come you can see through it?

  • you are kidding, right?

  • Maybe its because this is part one? O.O

  • LOL

  • Fantastic work. I've been thinking of making a guitar also and after watching this, I can safely say I'm not ready. :) But it's something to look forward to.

  • a question. as a bassist i have to ask, considering the strings build up a considerable amount of stress to the neck-structure, is the neck solid enough or should it be strengthened more than shown here? secondary worry would be the "chord-board", how much of a difference are we talking about if we compare electrical instrument tensions and acoustic ones? this all from the "just think" department, naturally, love the clips as always.

  • Nylon string classical guitars have much less tension in their strings than their steel-stringed counterparts, so a truss rod isn't required.

  • that was so cool :D

  • That part when you were "playing" the guitar cracked me up...classic.

BTW, I've always wondered something...since you're a drummer (I am too, you could probably tell by my username, haha!), did you play the drum part for the wood whisperer theme (here it's from 1:28-1:42)? I've kinda learned to play along with it...it's a cool beat. Did you play it and record yourself playing it or was it someone else?

  • No I didn't play that part. I always air drum it when I hear it too, lol. But I do tend to pick music with drum parts that really appeal to me. I was always into Jazz and Funk, so you'll hear that in the music I select from the royalty-free stuff available to me.

  • Excellent video. I hope we get to hear someone play the guitar when it's done.

  • epic win

  • awesome work man but we want more!!!

  • will be looking out for the next few parts!

    thanks man great videos! :D

  • Great video. I like to see the problem solving part of this guy. It's great to see him fumble around untill he gets it right. Unlike that yankee norm. :) Looking forward to part 2.

  • Great video, looking forward to the next one in the series. I really dug the soundtrack too.
