I didn't say "animals don't give up, because they don't have feelings" - I said: cats don't give up, when they have a chance to fight for their survival. They fight or hide. Humans are more likely to give up on life, when they see no point. That is not how animals think. They live in a present moment, I'm sure you know, if they see any chance, they'll use it. The animal in the video was free to walk away at any time.
