I really hate it when the prince or king falls in love with a girl just by looking at her. I mean I thought the theme of Cinderella was to always be kind!? I mean who falls in love with somebody after seeing a shoe?!

@Omega13X2000 They did. I know the story well. Because of the step-family's cruelty towards Yeh-Shen, the king banished them to the caves and ordered them to never bother Yeh-Shen again. Eventually, they were caught in a cave-in and died.

@Omega13X2000 I have read the book. The stepmother and her daughter were indeed caught in a cave- in--and died. Of course they don't actually show an illustration of this, so it merely rolls off my shoulders without another concern.

@TheOffensiveuser Yes they were. In the original story, the king banished the wicked step-family into the cave and never bother Yeh-Shen again. However, they got caught in a cave-in and were crushed to death.
