I think the biggest reason to why he doesnt score goals in the big games is:

1: It´s hard as hell to score goals against the top teams

2: He takes/gets to much responsible for playmaking

3: He isn´t actually a natural striker

But he still scores a hell of a lot of goals anyway :)

One thing is sure though, few players have ever had to carry such amount of expectations like him. What Ronaldo felt 2002 in the finals against France, is what Zlatan carries every day on the pitch.

He didn't win the Ballon d'Or because he played in a under-performing team (that is Inter in europe). Inter never played good in europe thats a fact. Right now Ibra is playing in Barca and he's scores (and create) more goals than Messi + cristiano ronaldo. I never jumped on a bandwagon believe me. I've seen Ibra develop for the past 4-5 years since he moved to serie A. The guy was just another technically gifted player when he first came to italy. But the guy have developed into all around great striker. As for the award everyone knows that you're team have to "atleast" reach the CL or the world cup final for a player to be recoginzed as the best.
