True. Batman of DC and the Punisher of Marvel are very similar in that they both had family member die and they became vigilantes with vengeance and hope in mind.
They are also extremely similiar in terms of their abilities, as they both are probably two of the most dangerous guys in comics. They both possess the most potent superpower of them all, which is intelligence and the ability to put it into practical use in a fight, right on the spot. They are also extremely resourceful, cunning, and masters of all forms of combat. Batman is greater in terms of cqc whereas Punisher has a higher resistance to pain and a brutal creativity that Batman lacks.
They are the same tragedy changed them forever, and now they seek to stop the evil. The only difference is The Punisher kills people, and yes im a Batman fan. But my favorite Marvel character is a tie between The Punisher and Wolverine.

Yeah I understand that. They're taking the new movie in a different direction with other comic storylines & stuff. I like the blood, gore, & explosions but there's a fine line between cool & over the top.
