First of all that is not a snakehead, It's a gobby.....all types of snakeheads are not bottomdwellers.....Look up Gooby and you'll see, not sure how to spell it. These fish only grow about 4-5 inches.....
@PCIeracitano Sorry Mate but thats not a Goby Its 100% Channa Bleheri or close variant. I been keeping Snkeheads for about 5 years and Bleheri for the last two years and they spend 50% of the time either lying on the substrate or lying under a bodlog i found most of the subtropical snakeheads tend to be Bottom Dwelling
@PCIeracitano These are not "GOBY." These are called dwarf snakeheads by the way. And they grow up to a foot unlike the other giant snakeheads. Do your research on gobys again.. I don't have time to explain for people like you.
beautiful species they are. quite adaptable to most water condition. my very first aqurium fish was a snakehead when I was only about 5 year old. it was bought from the open market for food. i convinced my grandmother to spare the littlest one from the bunch that she had. I love those fishes - i wish that i can have one or two again.
wonderful fish and this colorful variety is especially beautiful and rare...you're going to have to find a new home for your betta very soon, it's an easy prey for the greedy snakeheads even though they're still young.
lol! they're in with a beta! ahah! I would never have imagined they were so small by the video still. even the beginning of the video completely fooled me. Beautiful fish. Rather intollerant of each other (or the one is) but leave the beta alone it looks like, strange.
Extremely hardy even in the worst water condition & got nasty bites! DON'T WALK but slither like eels when on dry land. Nat Geo & Maryland scientists had preposterous reports, snakehead walked on dry land & survived 4days out of water, using insecticide poisoning entire lake killing more fishes than snakeheads! Failed to consider repercussion of such action thinking the results are inconsequential. Lakes lead to sea & effects maybe accumulatively disastrous with like-minded irresponsible people.
no ppl r selling tat fish...i get it in a big jungle but i going to bring my friend go catch it on tis month..if u interest i will post a video n let u c it...

Unfortunety I am Malaysian, some snakehead species are origin here such as the Giant snakehead, Empiror Snakehead and etc.
Since my country are one of the origin area of the snakehead, so we are free to keep snakeheads as pets and snakehead are very commond food fish too.
But this Rainbow Snakehead are not origin at my country, they are from India.

Just because something is illegal in the U.S. does not make it illegal in the rest of the world, besides they make great pets :D

Yup, they will eat anything that fit into their mouth size.
VinLwj 3 years ago
mine used to pick fights with my greenterror. It once jumped from its tank to my feeder tank.
TReMoRZz69 3 years ago
Oh, i got them from my Local Fish Shop.
Most of the snakehead species are easy to get from Local Fish Shop because i am in Malaysia.
For Channa Bleheri & Channa Auranti need to depend on some luck, but not very hard to get.
VinLwj 3 years ago
are these aggressive and will they eat feeder?
TReMoRZz69 3 years ago
They are aggressive to smaller fishes and will eat feeders that can fit in their mouths, they mostly feed on bloodworms and mealworms.

r u from monsterfishkeeper??

Yup, i am from monsterfishkeeper, but i am also from many fish forums too.
VinLwj 3 years ago
wow, do u need any special things for them to survive?
15GreenTreeFrogs 3 years ago
No, just good water condition will keep them well.
But suggest keep them with more cooler water (22-25)since they are sub-tropical species.
VinLwj 3 years ago
They're so vicious!
xcoffeinex 3 years ago
How big are they now? The betta is still alive today?
atsven 4 years ago

The betta had been removed for sometimes ago, it is very fine now.
