  • After 200 years 80% of the carbon dioxide in the air is breeder by animals. 100% is used for for photosynthesis

  • Comment removed

  • kinnonmonth is an oil company employee people.

    you trust them?

  • u trust intergovernmental panels?

  • you trust corporations?

  • Bill Kininmonth clearly has too much time on his hands now he DOESN'T work for National Climate Center. Shame he spent it rote learning the same old science-denier bullshit. Another career sullied by politically motivated psuedoscience.

  • This man induced climate change scaremongering is catalyst to attack peoples freedom!

  • Heinz Hug* showed that carbon dioxide in the air absorbs to extinction at its 15µM peak in about ten meters. This means that CO2 does whatever it's going to do in that amount of space. Twice as much CO2 would do the same thing in about 5m. There's no significant difference between 5m and 10m for global warming, because convectional currents mix the air in such short distances.

  • CO2 plays a central role in temperature rise through a feedback mechanism. Orbital forcing warms the ocean, producing CO2 and water vapour, which in turn warm the ocean further, and so on. In other words, the power of CO2 is in its interaction with orbital cycles, deep ocean, and water vapour; over a 5000 year period. The power of CO2 is in its relationship with the other components. Not on its own. You cannot cause dangerous global warming by increasing CO2. Will not happen, unlike shit.

  • *CO2 plays a central role in temperature rise through a feedback mechanism. Orbital forcing warms the ocean, producing CO2 and water vapour*

Well,as you stated the Co2 rises up with water vapur from the evaporation of the Oceans.

But CO2 is limited to the Troposphere because it piggy backs on that water vapour and even then it eventually falls back to earth

But in the Stratosphere tempatures can reach 130f without CO2 while in Menosphere tempatures can drop to -130f on a sunny day without Co2

  • **But in the Stratosphere tempatures can reach 130f without CO2 while in Menosphere tempatures can drop to -130f on a sunny day without Co2**

Likewise the Upper Therosphere can hit tempatures of 2500f - 4500f cause while the earth's electromagnetic field deflects most of the "Solar wind" it' the Thermossphere that first diffuses the bulk of the Sun's energy.

I know,I know The Environuts don't usually mention Earth has 5 layers of Atmosphere and the supposed 1.4f increase is jackshit to

    4500f

  • **producing CO2 and water vapour, which in turn warm the ocean further**

GHG Thoery has a few major flaws

    1) Hot air can't heat Water

    2) Hot Air can't heat ICe

    3) Hot Air rises upward so Hot air wouldn't touch the Ocean Water or Polar Ice for long anyway

    4) Innate IR absortion rate of CO2 and 100% volume in a open space is about 1.4f before it expands and disperse, at .038%,like in air it only can asorb 1/10 of a degree

    5) At 0% Humidity Dry Air can't hold heat(even though CO2 there)

  • oldlamo,

That's not a bad hypothesis - except for 1 major issue. Positive feedback does not appear in any proxy data - period.

The notion of positive feedback has been around for a while - but not one piece of credible evidence exists for this hypothesis.

This hypothesis should be shown valid in every piece of proxy data gathered - but it does not - it is NOT shown in the data.

Nice try - but once again the evidence in the real world just does not support these hypothetical assumptions.

  • man .. ur a dummy CO2 is natural and produced in mass quantities by nature at certain periods and offers no effect on climate - in proportion to water vapour clouds etc

  • To The Age newspaper, Kininmonth wrote that "Greenhouse gases emit more radiation than they absorb and their direct impact is to cool the atmosphere." No wonder the surface of Venus is so chilly. It does have some troublesome implications for thermodynamics - where does the extra heat go? For this Kininmonth uses Einstein's E=Mc2. Apparently, the extra heat is turned into mass.

  • st3vj3mj - just posting the same non sense 4 times doesn't make it any more intelligent a post.

It's typical of you eco-sheep who know nothing about science to launch stupid attacks like this on eminent scientists.

There's absolutely no evidence by the way that Venus is so hot because of greenhouse gases rather than being a lot closer to the sun.

Talking of other planets, haven't you noticed there has been faster global warming on Mars recently? I expect you think that's caused by humans?

  • "It does have some troublesome implications for thermodynamics"

Yeah - I'd say it does!

It's impossible to emit more radiation than is absorbed without decreasing mass - where is the where is the energy comming from?

This is nonsence junk science at it's best.

Nice try - but no takers here I'm afraid.

  • To The Age newspaper, Kininmonth wrote that "Greenhouse gases emit more radiation than they absorb and their direct impact is to cool the atmosphere." This, of course, explains why the surface of Venus is so chilly. It does, however, have some troublesome implications for thermodynamics - like where does the extra heat go? For this Kininmonth bring Einstein's E=Mc2 to the rescue. Apparently, the extra heat is turned into mass.

  • To The Age newspaper, Kininmonth wrote that "Greenhouse gases emit more radiation than they absorb and their direct impact is to cool the atmosphere." Which explains why the surface of Venus is so chilly. It does however raise some sticky problems with thermodynamics. Where does the extra heat go? Well, Kininmonth brings in Einstein's E=Mc2 to deal with this, apparently converting the extra energy into mass.

  • Excellent!

I used to be a believer in this theory. One day I faced facts. I hope others are willing to do the same.

  • excellent presentation demolishing the CO2 dogma.

  • I agree 100%

The c02 histeria is driven by money - carbon tax.

    When will people wakeup.

People dont trust goverment on anything - but for some reason they're prepared to listen to a politician (al gore) talk on something he has no idea about. Science is the only real truth but no ones listening.

It's time to wake up people!

  • And don't forget all those Grant Writers out there desperate for a gov grant to "stay-alive".

How much money is granted to these GW alarmists? Are they not invested in scare tactics/reports in order to win more grants?

    The data speaks for itself.

  • A good presentation.

Higher CO2 and a warmer climate mean more rain, milder climate, better plant growth.

There's much more to be concerned about with the potential coming cool period.
