  • Wow! I love love how the square and rectangular pieces align up so perfectly. In my opinion this is on of Mozart's gratest compositions. Thank you so much smalin!

  • Happy Birthday Mozart!

  • Amazing Mozart....

  • The four peters 0_o

  • amazing piece learning it for a school assessment :]

  • the only fault of this graph is that it doesn't show quiet-loud relations in the music.

i would do it by +/- saturation of the colours (loud = very intense colour)

  • @SanjaRotter If you experimented with that (as I have), you'd find that it doesn't work very well.

  • @smalin of course. it's always easier to critisize :P

but it was more a random thought than an actual critique, beacuse your video are great anyway.

  • Can I have the first violin of this piece?

  • @PooStupidPoo Try looking on IMSLP.

  • brilliant ..

  • when i want to listen to classics i come here.... the absolute best quality and best bar graphs arounds..

  • Dude what type of virtual instruments are you using?

  • @minddust None; this is a recording of an acoustic performance.

  • @smalin So you wrote the score and then have pre-recorded music to go with it? So you just synchronize them to start together? hmmm... Interesting.

  • @dsadwarf No, I have to modify the score to be in sync all the way through.

  • ehm wer is deutsch

  • What about the 2nd movement of A Little Night Music?

  • hihi nie mehr schuften bin so reich

  • Cool, ok watch the video for about 30 seconds then, pause the video and keep looking at the screen and it looks like it is moving and oposite way.

  • @blokdeblok

Hey your right! An optical allusion!

  • @TonyODonnell01

That's eye fatigue actually. It's like staring at the same image for 30 seconds and seeing the negative on a white surface. Your brain gets "tired" of seeing that motion and compensates for it.

  • "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" is, literally translated, "A Little Serenade."

  • @LihuaEmily Really it is "A Little Night Music" WTF???

  • @blokdeblok Maybe that is the intended translation. "Nachtmusik" means "serenade", but perhaps "night music" is the actual meaning. I mean, it's definitely true that "Nacht" and "Musik" are "night music" together!

  • @LihuaEmily Let me tell you, its definately intended to mean A little Night music.

  • @Slozor My German isn't very good, so I can easily believe my translation, even if it's literal, is not the correct one!

  • Super Mario Bros. Intro :D

  • @kingdavey90 Why? :/ I need to know it becouse i'm mario bros fan

  • @EdgarEnryque the old "Mario Bros" game started out with the first 8 seconds of this Mozart Song - finally found a video of it here: /watch?v=hZUyvZs-cJo&feature=related

  • @kingdavey90 Thank you,I really didn't know it.

  • What level is it? Intermediate? Advanced? I really what to know!!!

  • I wonder y Mozart had strings do this one for the Ist

  • @smalin Do Mozart's piano concerto no. 20, first movement. It's a lot better than this. It's also a lot more interesting.

  • This is amazing. Makes you realise just how gifted these composers were.

  • @scottyelf It is indeed truly amazing. Sheer beauty.

  • amalin, how long does this usually take?

  • @blujay871 It depends on the complexity. Absolute simplest, a few hours. Most complicated I've done, a few weeks.

  • I been stressed w/ university stuff, so I put this on and I now feel great :)

  • @clam91326 i have the same :D

  • Amazing.

  • is this the way musical notes would read as if done by computer or is it just a computer light show?

  • ah, my daily dose of higher class. how i do so look forward to it.

  • Great music, I like much this effetcs linears!!!

  • Like it !!, Helps to understand the composition, Thanks!!

  • A clear masterpiece how else can one put it.

  • this video should be called “violin hero ”

  • I am training myself to play all the four movements on my mouht harmonica (not-chromatic); I accompany myself simulateouslu on a cuatro ( a small South American guitar). Soon I'll send you a video of myself playing!

    Jules marchena

  • If aliens came down from space and said, "You have six minutes to convince us to not destroy your planet." This is what we'd have to play them.

  • @mpeace37 you sure it wouldn't be "teach me how to dougie?" lol

  • @jonjo12321 baby steps first, then the advanced class.

  • EXCELENCIA EN MUSICA

  • Sometimes it's so breathtaking I forget to breath.. my gosh

  • I am 14 years old, and i love old music from when Mozart, Beethoven, Hynd. Were alive. And some songs from the 1960-1980. Archies "Sugar sugar", Staying alive By" Bee gees, video killed the radio star By: Buggles.

Modern day music from 2011 Suck. I prefer older music that didn't have any swears and racist comments in them. Thank's for the video.

  • @101tankhunter actually, the only bugs bunny was super rascist

  • @KiRAWRra131 No it was not at all.

  • @101tankhunter i meant the old one, and it was, old teachers of mine would tell me how they showed a lot of racisim which is why they took a lot of it off of tv

  • @KiRAWRra131 Its still on T.V even the old version, I currently live in Israel and the old and new bugz bunny is still here. If you can send me some proof of resist parts, i would take that back and say that you are correct.

  • I write and arrange music for my orchestra and i just might have to do this song!

  • 1. Mozart

    2. Haynd

    3. Beethoven

    4. Vivaldi

Oh, who cares their all Uber epic!

  • it "reminds me" the western (cowboys) juke/music-box (a piano with the "same graphic sheet" -while the music was mechanically played)<- kinda like this; i once saw in a western movie and since then i thought: OMG! this is awesome, this is the "shit", this is what i need to "explore"! (BTW: i supose this wont work for other genres of music, hum? or even, big orchestrals..?) i'll check your Vivaldi 4 seasons to clear me a lil bit more about this my question...:b

  • wen i see you i see my self

  • Did you use a particular program to have to music play in this visual form? If so what did you use, I like it.

  • @4alexza You should visit my web site.

  • I like the visual as the song is playing. It's nice to see what the different instruments are doing

  • That's really wonderful... i can't believe it's so amazing... i love it

  • learning this on violin and piano. love it so much!!!

  • I am just starting to learn to play the piano? What was your first instrument smalin?

  • @Eagle4h1r3 Piano.

  • yeah, then learn violin. it's only a higher pitched viola. I played this with my orchestra. I'm happy 'cos I'm concertmaster AND I play solos if there are any.

  • @345bomberman Heh, heh, "a higher pitched viola" --- that's the funniest definition of 'violin' I've ever read.

  • @smalin Lol usually it's the other way around. A "lower pitched violin" = viola.

  • @345bomberman "high pitched viola"?! i would define a violin as a smaller version of a viola and higher pitched

  • i played the arrangement for this piece in my 6th grade all city <3 i play viola..

and im jealous of the violins, cus they have all he cool parts x)

  • ICH LIEBE MOZART, NICHT NUR FUER DIE MUSIK ABER AUCH DAS ER AUS OESTERREICH KOMMT :)

  • 凄い視覚的にも楽しいですね~これ位弾けたらもっと楽しいのだろうなーと聴かせて頂きました

  • i love this on piano <3

  • I am playing a violin solo arrangement of this for my final high school orchestra concert!

  • I should use this song as my alarm... :-)

  • En liten nattvisa!

  • i have to play this in band... AND IM ONLY IN THE SEVENTH GRADE !!

  • @Dr8ke4ever "You've gotta start it young if you're going to stick it out." ---The Firesign Theater

  • @Dr8ke4ever its not that difficult.

  • @Dr8ke4ever I know sixth graders that played this. And they did amazingly, im sure you will too ;D Good luck

  • @Dr8ke4ever

It's really pretty easy...I played it when I was in third grade...

  • @Dr8ke4ever That's good dude, your teacher is pushing you to become one of the greats.

  • @Dr8ke4ever Well I was in seventh grade when we did this one at District Orchestra...it was fun :)

  • wow, I'm in the top middle school orchestra and we have to play this, its so much fun!

  • whoa! i watched the video for so long, these comments seem like they're moving to the right. AHHHH!

  • my friend actually fell asleep while listening to this.....lol

  • Whent they introduce a breathing tax, people will stop breathing.

  • @MucusFelidae Nah, it'll just go underground.

  • Before I read the trolling comments, I thought the breathing was me :L

  • does anyone know where I can download the sheet music for this? please and thanks :)

  • I like the breathing. It's cool. These string musicians are rocking. They should be having a good time.

  • How am I going to master THIS in 3 weeks?!?!

  • @STLfangirl No way dear :) But you can do your darnedest best to try ;)

  • urm i dun hear any BREATHING PEOPLE

  • @AznDevil1019 ME TOO I DONT GET WHY EVERYONES COMPLAINING

  • "Music created and played by humans has the sounds of humans existing and breathing on it! This is tainting the music!"

Some people find stuff to complain about no matter what.

  • You have to remember that nachtmusik is an old german word and does not have as much fame as guten tag, guten nacht ect.

  • ¿por qué la gente como usted a la ruina grandes cosas como ésta, con comentarios mezquinos?

  • AHHH a little breathing is ok!! I have a recording of The Four Seasons which has a very faint ambulance siren in the background of the Winter movement! The sensitivity of the microphones and the clarity of the new medium (Compact Disc) was not fully understood in the early eighties lol

  • ese mozart compone como un hijuept.....

  • it's weird... this is study music and i am currently studying the enlightment period.... and i need to know this song

  • Shalom and thank you very much for sharing this... Back in the 1960s, while I was in High School, I would go to the library for lunch and while reading such classics as "The Black Stallion" series, I would put on the long play albums... You should have seen the faces of the other students when they put on the earphones... LOL..this is way great.... and this is the song, that I would speed down the freeway...just doing it normally...conducting the orchestra, while driving. Many thanks again!!!!

  • @Adina4AllahYAH

THAT IS SOO AWESOME!!! I would love to speed down the freeway to this song!

  • amazing?

  • Pop music and similar styles will disappear in a few years, but classical music will remain for eternity that's for sure. We all can see why...

  • All classical music should be smalinified! It is so beautiful to see it ! I would paly it int he airports! Just before experimenting security controls!

  • just a question..is this fruity loops or something? Don't know much, but i'm impressed. And nice choices as well..

  • this music will never die

  • @99davinci it'd better not. Because a lot of great stuff has disappeared from the radar according to the small speck people find back from book burnings wars and other such human outbursts.

  • Unfortunately this recording has loud breathing all through it.

  • @huwrj The upside is that it was a public domain recording, so I didn't have to pay anything to use it.

  • @smalin lol i didn't even notice the breathing until someone mentioned it...

  • @bushmyster555 I can't hear it ??? maybe we are breathing in sync???

  • @smalin I still listen to it anyway and it doesn't bother me anyway. Also my father is a cellist and it reminds me of listening to him practice in the living room a few feet away from me such that I could hear the breathing. It's still a good rendition to my ears.

  • @smalin your uploads made my life allot better. greeting from Canada :)

  • @smalin :-) Until now i couldn't hear the breathing :) lol! breathing is good for us!, and still people complain about it.

    lol :)

  • @huwrj Thanks for making me notice the breathing. Now I can't not hear it!

  • @huwrj The breathing (if you noticed) is between the first violin (very top) notes. Strings player do this to signify the next set of notes... its not just random breathing. its timed and has a great purpose.

  • @huwrj lol yeah

  • La música clásica es excelente, se disfruta cada día más!

  • Smalin, you are a genius. Thanh you for helping us to better understand such great music.

  • is it just me or does it sound like someone's breathing in the background? lol

  • can you do some grieg somethime perhaps?

  • IM not worthy of this music

  • This was really helpful and i love this piece of music. We are learning to play this at college in the orchestra. I play second violin. Its hard but is gonna sound awesome. btw Mozart wrote this i have the music.

  • nice sound quality

  • I remember playing this with my flute choir a few years back. Such a fun piece to play if you don't mind reaching for those high notes!

  • this is beast!

  • Smallin just a quick question .. what software do you use for this?

  • @Killerzac Adobe Audition, Amazing Slow Downer, Cakewalk Home Studio, Adobe Premiere, On2 Flix, and a bunch of programs I wrote myself.

  • @smalin damn..

  • @smalin can you write programs?!

    c++?

    I know little pascal

  • @volglizolic It's how I earned my living from 1984 until 2009.

  • The comments on classical music videos are so much more civilized. I'm not a classical music buff (though many pieces, like this one are amazing, and I much appreciate classical music), but I just thought it was a curious observation.

  • thank you so much smalin, wonderful music, wonderful spirit, Happy New Year of 2011 to all!

  • so was bekommt heute glaub ich keiner mehr hin!

    großartig!!

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • go on, mock me, laugh .but it wasn't steweie who was laughing at me, it was god

  • is it possible to do this on a piano...i mean the violins in an electric piano?

  • Thank you so much for this. I am learning a lot from all of your animated music scores! 1000 cheers to steven

  • Smalin, do Beethoven 9th symphony 2nd and 4th movement. They are the best movements ever. Or give me a score or something.

  • @ChaozMKW The second movement is close to the top of my to-do list.

  • @smalin Did you already upload the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th movement of "Eine Kliene Nachtmusik"? If not can you please upload it sometime? Thanks.

  • @greenhalos725 It isn't a question of uploading them ... I would have to make them first. And to do that, I would need to find a recording I could use.

  • @smalin Can you please do Eine Kliene Nachtmuisk movement 2. It is my favourite movement.

  • i really enjoy this video (:

  • I can play this on my clarinet and my piano

  • Thanksyou

  • j'avais fais la même sur fruity loops!^^ Beau travail!

  • I guess this will be on Orchestra Hero on EXPERT.

  • I listen to classical while doing math homework to keep me concentrated, but unless I minimize the screen I find myself attracted to the pretty moving dots.

    Which defeats the purpose.

  • This is an awesome video! It really helped me, b/c I'm trying to learn to play this song, and it helped soooooo much!!!

  • OMG ALOT OF PPL FROM HERE ARE IN STUY :D

  • @vannyvanneh whats STUY?

  • @claireasmyself it's a name short for Stuyvesant, which is a school :)

  • Thanks for uploading all these classics!! Please continue. I have a request, could you please upload other good Beethoven songs? Much appreciated!!

  • @haddikillz See "Could you please ..." in the FAQ.

  • @haddikillz

You say "other good Beethoven songs" as though Beethoven composed this.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. This was great help and I enjoyed it too!

  • kunstliche menschen die deutschen

  • I've got to say this is truly amazing. You've helped me pass my Music Appreciation class in Stuy. LOLLL. Thanks so much. My teacher, Mrs. Shamazov, recommends you to all her students cause the videos you post help people visualize the music.

  • @CThunderofLB i have music appreciation with her too :D

  • i love the cello running passages :)

  • Its funny because ive looked at many coments on alot of this persons videos, and everyone seems to be pointing out flaws, making an ass of themself, and fighting

  • @Sendmetothesanitariu Don't forget: and criticizing each other.
