The fact that permits are required for peaceful assembly is unConstitutional in itself, but that procedure was followed. Permits for peaceful protest were denied.

Actually you can't just assume all the protesters you see are legit protesters. Police routinely also have instigators in with protesters and normally they are the ones that like hiding their faces, and they are the ones that will throw the rocks at their own cops, to give the cops the reason they need to start arresting the individuals.

Theres plenty of video footage showing some cops being caught pretending to be cops, like the infamous one shot in Canada showing a protester with police issued boots, same exact issued by the police... then finally it was admitted that in fact they were cops (the few with the bandanas on their face.

This is not even considering how they will 'radicalize' a group of people print some signs with very direct threats on them... finally making sure the posters are handed to the media and said see look at the intentions of the protesters. Most people are there because they want to non-violently protest.
